Work space of the future?
Tim H.

Could this be the High-end social WeWork space that people don't know they need? If you've been to elite college campus with student unions, libraries, and dinning halls, you'd be right at home here. The food here is surprisingly good - lunch selections range from $15 - $40. Hosts and service personnel are friendly and polite. People tend to mind their own. I surveyed the place like I did in a library- plenty of open/shared spaces, and also corners like you'd find in bookstores. I found my spot and settled in for the day.

I took a trip to NYC with a friend, and we stayed in the Gramercy Park area. We spent a lot of time looking for a spot to eat dinner on Friday night, and came across The Gallery Bar at NeueHouse on Resy. It's a hidden secret! NeueHouse is a members only coworking space. But they open the restaurant to public reservations for dinner, and the menu is stacked with amazing items. We ordered and shared the following items: - Wood Fired Breads with Whipped Organic Grass-Fed Butter, Lava Salt - Burrata with Leeks, Mustard Seeds, Capers, Hazelnuts, Calabrian Chili - Burger with Fries All of the food was SO GOOD. Seriously. Even the fries were perfect. The decor and vibe of the space is so beautiful. Even the bathrooms are stunning. The hostesses were so friendly, but our server didn't seem super happy with us. But we still had a great time!

This place is so cool! The decor is beautiful and the lighting is super vibey! It is a members only co working space that opens to the public for dinner. Such a neat idea! The hostess was so incredibly kind! She talked to us the walk from the hostess stand to where we were seated. She even let us know her favorite items off the menu! The place was pretty dead. Really only one or two other parties seated on a Friday night! I was so tempted to order a drink here, but we were getting drinks elsewhere after dinner. But the drinks sounded great! We started off with the Wood Fired Breads and the Burrata! Both were amazing, but the Burrata was next level! Such a unique flavor combo with the leeks, mustard seeds, hazelnuts and chili! It had a bit of a kick to it, which I was not expecting...but also not mad at! Our server wasn't the friendliest and seemed a bit snobby, but overall we had a great experience!

What a FAB place. They recently just opened a bar/restaurant lounge type space and it's really NICE. We had a lounge section that served us all the goodness. Burgers, fries (regular/sweet potato), tuna tartare, carpaccio, and calamari. I was especially impressed with the calamari served with this lemon sauce that was spectacular. Drinks are strong and the vibes were lovely. I'll def be back.

So Neuehouse was described to me as "a new private collective in Gramercy Park oft-mistaken for a membership club like Soho House." While that helps me understand what they *aren't*, here's what they *are*: the most stunning 20,000 sq. feet of bricks, mortar, Edison bulbs, leather bound books, exotic animal pelts, and sophisticated whimsey I've encountered in years. I was blown away that such a space exists anywhere outside a tech start up with way too much VC money to blow. From what I gather, it's a co-working space for motivated artists, entrepreneurs, visionaries, etc... I'm also under the impression that there's a lengthy application process to become a member, so it takes more than just a Macbook pro and the ability to type 100 words per minute to get up and running here. But if you're lucky enough to attend an event that's open to the public, I highly suggest you drop everything on your schedule to be a part of it.

Waiting area on level one.

I understand the negative reviews of this place- because i also felt a little intimidated when I walked in. Everyone is quite attractive there and I am just a mother of three teenage boys who also happens to work in media. But once I checked in and sat down to wait for Ashely - the beguiling membership rep I immediately began to unwind. Instead of a sea of "resting bitch faces" as is so often the case at places like the SoHo House, I found people to be naturally friendly. Eye contact was made. People were smiling. The mood was relaxed, and people were chatting, but more so, people were working. Imagine Sunday Brunch meets my university Library. In other words people seemed to be enjoying working in this setting. One thing that should be pointed out about NeueHouse is their investment in technology. I have been lucky enough to learn about the production capabilities and tech infrastructure that sets Neue apart from every other executive space in the city. You wouldn't know it on first glance but the technology bones of the NeueHouse are first rate and they have deployed some of the most prolific systems engineers to make this space fully functional for almost every aspect of creative professionals. This place is everything that a techotel is and everything that a Regus office isn't.

Speaking as someone who has worked in NeueHouse with a startup and who has helped organize events here, I ADORE this place. It's one of the best incubators in NYC because it's so versatile, friendly and innovative. There's such a huge sense of community that you can feel each time you walk through the door. In fact, I not only met the person who would ultimately fund my project but I met my designer and head of marketing there as well. The space itself is in a class of its own. Aesthetically marvelous and sets any meeting off (with clients seeing it for the first time) with amazement. The floors themselves are full of inspiring pieces of art and brimming with natural light during the daytime that reflects off neighboring windows outside and through the glass right to you. It's almost like being on a movie set. If you have a startup here, you can dedicate yourself to your work from early morning to midnight, which is very essential for those who are wanting to burn the midnight (or weekend) oil on time sensitive projects. And the events themselves - the meticulous detail that goes into the programming is extraordinary. They're always great for networking and meeting the most fascinating people. I remember speaking with an idol of mine, Ian Schrager, after he spoke at one of their events and it changed my life forever! If you want to learn how to build your company or develop your business, or just have an awesome cup of coffee with some cool people, stop into NeueHouse sometime. It's all about having a supportive community surrounding you, which is exactly what you need when you're in the early stages.

Neuehouse is an excellent co-working office space with a delicious cafe and bar! This place is great for creatives and entrepreneurs. The decor, art and ambiance is well curated. They have very interesting events and programs that you truly can't find anywhere else.

My head was on a SWIVEL ready for someone bursting through a door with an axe. I was completely lost looking for "Room #4," and began to spiral. I soon realized that I just took the wrong elevator, and found the room pretty easy once I took the correct elevator lol. Once I gathered my composure and found Room #4, I could finally appreciate how stunningly beautiful this place was. It is like an Oligarch's MANSION straight from the 19th century. It's tasteful luxury, when luxury meant more than just cookie cutter modern architecture. They had an open bar and some bomb horderves all night, with my favorite being this fresh tuna on top of a cucumber. I ate like 30 of them. Me and the lady in a tuxedo walking around with the tray became well acquainted. I honestly have no real idea what this place is, but I imagine it's a members only club where the rich and famous gather to make important decisions. That's the vibe at least. Kinda eerie. I was a guest of a member during the 18-inch snow storm, so I wore my $500 dollar suede Danner lights (Made in the USA) to manage the snow. Upon entry, I was informed by the staff that, due to the suede being too light, it looked too much like Timberland boots, which are banned. I was professionally whisked to a backroom, where I was offered to wear black loafers 3 sizes too large if I wanted to make my appointment. I spent the rest of my time skipping through the venue in order to not trip over myself, wearing massively oversized shoes. I would have been okay with this footwear restriction if it was universally enforced, but there were plenty of people in the club wearing duck boots, metal hook leather hiking boots, and even the same type of boots of a slightly darker shade. Apparently, the shoe shade restriction was not something members are aware about (the no sneakers restriction is well known). I have previously been a guest here with positive experiences. However, today I was put in an illogically unsafe experience, forced to wear loaner shoes 3 sizes too large, because $500 lighter suede boots are deemed less classy than duck boots for being too"Timberland like" during a snow storm.

Service throughout the meal was exceptional. The wait staff was so attentive and friendly. The food on the other hand was not the best. It stated off strong with a bread basket. The bead was warm and tasty with delicious butter on the side to spread on it. For my meal, I ordered a French onion soup and lobster tail Cobb salad. The FRENCH ONION SOUP was unfortunately quite watery and bland. The LOBSTER TAIL COBB SALAD was ok. There were a good amount of toppings on the salad and the portion was huge. But the main star, the lobster tail, was ice cold, rubbery and also very bland.
