The group is a joke and there is no matchmaking going on. Hattie has either dated the guys already or is friends with them - the guys are basically attending the events because she asks them to otherwise the events would be all female. She is elitist and not interested in her members. She is shady about pricing, charging people different amounts. TGL should really be called Hattie's Friends or Six Degrees of Hattie Elliot because when you go to one of the events you feel like you're hanging with friends: relaxed, unpretentious, fun, stimulating. Although I met a ton of cool, hot, accomplished women at the events (including my beautiful fiance! Note: I still had to cast spells, woo and prod and cajole and impress. Definitely NOT included TGL membership;) I also made some good guy friends. If you're active, engaged and into food and drink i'd definitely recommend checking out TGL! read more

I was wooed, cajoled, and apparently dazed with a l-o-v-e spell, by my now-fiance, after attending a few events through The Grace List. Before meeting this mysterious man, I met several stellar men and enjoyed various enriching, comfortable dates. The biz far surpassed my expectations. You can also meet new gal pals or professional contacts if that's your thing. I was distracted by the men, though. If you're interested in meeting a fresh new group of people, do it. Awesome week at the Grace List house! Spent a week out in the Grace List house in Montauk, and really enjoyed my time there. The house was absolutely amazing - modern, spacious very clean and organized! The location on the water made it so convenient and peaceful with amazing views. The house was stocked with amenities and included everything you would need. Hattie and her team are extremely organized and 100% are on top of all of the logistics to run a house. I'll echo what a few people have said regarding the people being wonderful. All professionals, the folks I have met through the house and other events were all super friendly, easy going, festive + fun to be around. House was totally drama free which can be hard to come by with shared houses. We had a few group dinners with an amazing chef Darryl and it felt like we have all known each other forever. Even though I came towards the end of the summer and didn't feel out of place from not being there earlier in the season. I have rented houses for the past 6 years in the Hamptons and this was by far the best experience I had. Recommended the house to a few friends who all had an awesome experiences and are planning to join some of the upcoming trips. When I was a member of the grace list, it was advertised as an exclusive group/service to introduce singles through fun events. The first step was to meet with the owner to be vetted out and determine if I met the criteria for the group - yay - I did! I was excited to join. When I was a member, there was a flat fee (~$200, I forget exact amount) and then each event was additional money (~$50-200). The events were different / fun. However, once at the event you are on your own to meet/talk with people. I had the expectation that 'the grace list' organizers would help facilitate conversation for people to meet each other. This did not happen and members are left to be outgoing enough to start their own conversations. I met great women as friends. Over the course of the 9 months or so that I attended events, I eventually found out that men in attendance were friends of the founder and were comped attendance to better balance the male/female ratio. Overall: If you are looking for fun/different events, join the grace list. If you are looking for a love connection, go out to a bar with your friends or join an on-line dating service. read more

All of the Grace List events I have attended were super-fun, well-organized, and filled with great people. I have gotten a sneak peek at Hattie's plans to revamp the List's offerings, and I cannot wait for the amazing things she has planned. The house they have in Telluride as well as their new properties in London and Hamptons are unbelievable, and make it super easy to travel to really cool destinations without having to do a bit of planning. It's not often as an adult you can just write a check and show up and have everything taken care of, great accomidation, company, and a ton of local perks already hooked up. I'm a big fan of 'the list" and wholeheartedly reccomend it to all my friends. read more

I have to admit, I was totally nervous when my boyfriend invited me to TGL Hamptons house. I mean, the way he described the amazing people at The Grace List... it sounded way to good to be true... But he introduced me to people who became my friends for life. Everyone was so welcoming, genuinely fun and interested in each others' company. In just a few days we went sailing, played tennis, had outstanding cuisine, and relaxed in the jacuzzi. There was the perfect balance of great people to socialize with and cute little nooks to hang out one on one. One weekend with him, and I was hooked... on the grace list.... We are looking forward to participating in all of the events in the future! If the trips look awesome to you but maybe you are nervous about a new group of friends I say jump right in and I will see you there :) read more

I've met some of my best friends through The Grace List. Since joining a couple years ago, I've had a great time going to whiskey tastings, volleyball games, Hamptons beach house weekends, and more. Every event is well planned and a ton of fun. Hattie & her team are experts when it comes to organizing cool events, with a great crowd, in amazing locations. Even though I didn't know many people in the group at first, everyone was super friendly and made me feel comfortable right away. There's always a great mix of interesting, successful people from a wide variety of backgrounds. I'm still reminiscing fondly about the summer weekends I had with the Grace List crew in Montauk...can't wait to check out their next event! read more

SO MUCH FUN!!! The Telluride House was amazing. 'Not only was the House right on the slopes with great amenities (breakfasts, dinners, hot tub, disco ball, etc), I met a great group of people who I actively keep in touch with. My friends and I enjoyed Telluride so we signed up for some weekends in the Hamptons and again, I was impressed with Hattie and her crew. Hattie chooses amazing houses and thinks of everything. In the end, it is about the people and I can honestly say I've made some amazing friends. read more

What can I say about The~grace~list. It's one of the most unique networking and friendship building tools I've ever come across. I find Hattie Elliot to be extremely passionate about her vision of creating incredible experiences for people to grow and expand their horizons. This may not be for everyone, but nothing ever appeals to all, which is why you see a few negative comments and that's OK. I think there is something for everyone out there and if you're a young, progressive outgoing, free spirited, non-judgmental individual looking for a way to as I like to call it, "Extreme Play" (work and play at the same time), then I would absolutely want to be part of this membership group. I've been on the Grace List's NYE yachting adventure 2 years in a row and it's still my favorite trip I've ever been on (And I've been few places). Along with vacationing in beautiful clear warm waters, Hattie puts on the best parties with some of the finest folks I've ever met. I still keep up with most of them today. The Grace List never disappoints! Weather you are in the mood for low key pumpkin carving and wine tasting, or an adventurous flying lesson with a champagne encore - there is something for everyone! DO NOT RECOMMEND! This "business" is a complete joke. Events are completely unorganized and not as promised. They send out great emails promising fun activities and food, whereas most of the time all you get is a slice of pizza and some chips/pretzels.. pathetic! Many of the events feel like they were thrown together haphazardly. There is also very FEW AVAILABLE MEN to be had in this group. Its great to meet a fun group of girls, but that is not what many of us joined the GL for. The events are attended by 80-90% women, and the men that do show up are "friends of Hattie" who were invited to fill spots and are generally not interested in dating anyone there. Also, "friends of Hattie" DO NOT PAY to attend the events like the rest of the members do, so whats the point of even having a membership fee?? Also, the destination trips, from what i've been told, are not what they're cracked up to be either.. Good looking people invited on the trip for free that were either in a relationship or just looking to hook up with anyone around. Ive talked to a good number of people who are definitely unsatisfied with the GL experience as well. If they want to succeed and keep their members from dropping like flies, they need to get their act together. read more

I have spent the past two summers with Hattie and The Grace List gang in the Hamptons and had an AMAZING time! From the time she picked me up from the train station to the time she dropped me back off, everything was accounted for. The Grace List definitely has unique and fun events. It's a great group to join if you're looking for something different and a way to experience new things and meet friendly people. If you're looking to meet someone and have a romantic connection... pass on the grace list. Hattie is not a matchmaker and does not make any effort to help people connect at her events (other than the basic introduction). I think it's great that Hattie plans social events for people, but if you join the grace list thinking that Hattie will try to get to know you or identify other members that will be a match for you - that is not the case. Hattie, via The Grace List, is the ultimate connector for the young, fabulous, smart and HOT! Everyone I've met through TGL, including the adorable, charming, brilliant Hattie, is someone I'd choose to hang out with if I'd met him/her without Hattie's facilitation. With a schedule as hectic as mine - working coast to coast and traveling in between - chance meetings with folks as cool as those Hattie's hand selected to be a part of TGL just don't happen. I have had great experiences with the Gracelist. The events are always a lot of fun in NYC and are a great way to meet cool people and experience the unique things this great city has to offer. Getting back into the dating world involves so much unknown and the Gracelist is a great avenue to meet new interesting people and network. Because there are couples at the events as well as singles, it creates a great atmosphere to meet people without all the serious pressure that's usually involved in a typical singles mixer. If you are looking to meet some new singles, looking to meet new friends, or just looking to get involved in a cool social club where you can have some amazing cultural experiences, then Grace List is the club for you! read more

The Grace List may be the biggest waste of ur money. U are better suited to use the money u spend at their overpriced events and take a date to a nice place. I will never go back and really do caution anyone NOT to join this ridiculously non-exclusive club. You would do better just going out in the city on a random Tuesday night. Also, be forewarned, this is mainly a group to subsidize Hattie's going-out and vacation opportunities. The amount you pay for events is wildly overpriced for what you get. Again, the clientele is sub-par and you may just want to join a real private social or sport club then suffer through her boring events. I am sure all the money you fork over to her and the really "exclusive" Grace List goes to hr own membership dues to real clubs - haha. Again, please note the sarcasm in the "exclusive."
