She made me feel grotesque and foolish before even asking about my history or what my gender journey has been like - instead she just "couldn't believe I had been walking around looking like that". I've felt never felt so disrespected by someone who was supposed to be administering me care. I contemplated just leaving right then and there, but I thought she would've insulted me further by charging me a cancelation fee on top of the humiliation. Instead of apologizing, she continued to double and triple down on what she had said throughout the session, especially once she learned that my occupation is as a visual merchandiser in a clothing store. I was recently diagnosed with Dermatographic Urticaria - which is a condition that is also known as skin drawing - which makes shaving a very difficult and painful process. I have a lower pain tolerance and used a numbing cream a few hours before hand on the right side of my face - as I have had previous electrolysis treatments on that side. I told Stacey this, but she insisted that she work on both sides of my face, even after I told her I would prefer not to because of my pain tolerance. I shared a video with her showing a cat-eye French tip design I wanted. As she started working, I felt the nails looked too dark, but I tried to trust the process. She finished one nail and asked for my opinion. I asked if it was the final product, but due to a language barrier, she called over a man I believe is the owner. He explained that the nail wasn't finished and there were more layers to add, so I said okay. When everything was done, she executed the design perfectly, but it was much darker than I wanted. I had hoped for a pink design but left with a dark pink and greenish-looking nail. I tried to love it but couldn't, so I returned the next day to request a color change. Initially, the owner implied I would need to pay for the redesign, but when I explained that I had expressed my dissatisfaction the day before, he agreed to fix it at no charge. Because of this good customer service, I decided to give them another chance, but I opted for a different nail tech this time and requested Michael. During my fill, I had to point out areas where the nails weren't shaped correctly. Even during polishing, I had to ask him to go over spots he missed. I asked for blue chrome nails with glitter, and he initially said it was possible. However, after prepping my nails, he called over a coworker, showed him the picture, and then told me he couldn't execute the design. As a result, I left with plain nail polish. Michael was apologetic and said they'd have the chrome powder next time, but by then, the experience left me disappointed. The staff is nice, and I appreciate that they allow both appointments and walk-ins. However, there's something about the vibe of the salon that feels off, so I won't be returning. That said, if you're in a pinch and need something affordable, they might be worth a try.

There are other places that charge less but don't have as much availability as European Wax Center. They take cash or card for tips. They will try to get you scheduled for the next appointment but this is not a requirement just say no thanks and they back off. Same with the wax passes. Overall good experience and I do recommend.
