Food was solid. Prices are excessive and a basic meal will tap your pockets. Watch out for the 20% service charge on your overall bill, and be mindful of the prices on the dishes in general. Our bill for (3) entrees, side of plantains, side of Mac & Cheese, and beverage came out to $165.00. $30+ of that was service charge and taxes. Food quality was good. Jerk Chicken was good, Ox Tails was good, and rice and peas were good. They could improve the portions, as well as sides included with the meals. A quality restaurant doesn't need to seem like a tourist trap. I really liked the live DJ and overall ambiance, and vibe of the spot. read more

Dirty bathrooms, no tissue switched stalls 3x. Last stall had loose tissue roll you have to put your hands in the roll (unsanitary) Loud workers, no refills on water. Bartender CALI no cs at all asked for specials aftwr seeing someone else have something different. She responded "oh, you can get that after" didn't talk to us about the food. Just paid attention to friends. Very rude we felt unwanted because we weren't a friend. And to see that gratuity was already added is so unfair. Sometimes it's good and bad. The unhappy workers mistreat you knowing they are still going to receive their gratuity. No good representation. This was my 7th visit and probably not going back, unless it's a friend's celebration. My fiancé was very upset, skinny Louie burgers had better customer service just serving burgers!! read more

I started with the salt fish fritters and they were really good!! Crispy and soft on the inside. For my main, I had the oxtails and no complaints. They weren't the best oxtails I've ever had, but they were good. My biggest issue was with the service. We had a waiter, but then he said he was too busy, so then we had another waitress who was very inattentive. It wasn't busy in there. We went so long without silverware. So while the food was good, the service was not. read more

We were a little late for our reservation but they we so accommodating. They even warned that it was a little to warm outside for my daughter so an inside table would be better. Once we sat down we were all super excited. The music was on point when they played the island music. Honestly didn't care much for the American music segments. Pros: the drinks are amazing. They come quick too. The rum punch is strong and good. The rice and peas (with oxtail gray) was delicious. The fried chicken was nice and crispy. The island music was beyond appreciated. The hostesses were so accommodating and approachable. Cons: customer service sucks. We had to wait a really long time after being seated for our waiter to make it to our table. When we ordered food we received one plate at the time. When one person finished eating another persons plate came out. There was also another table that walked out because they weren't receiving service. Overall, I'm glad I was able to go once and experience it. The food is amazing. The island music makes you feel like you're in a fete. Would've have been a prefect experience if the customer service was better. read more

Food: 4/5 Delicious, tender chicken. The only drawback was that the bowl was full of small bones, making it difficult to eat at times. The chick peas had a good flavor, but could've used an additional green or vegetable to kick up the flavor. Portion size: 5/5 Great, shareable size Service: 5/5 Excellent, attentive service Bang for your buck: 3/5 Relatively expensive, to be expected for the area. read more

This place was definitely a miss. Me and my girls had a reservation for night time. Upon arriving there was a line. We went directly to the front door and communicated to the guy at the door that we had a reservation. He proceeded to allow all these people in line to enter the establishment. He was very rude and had us standing outside for at least 20 minutes. Once seated, I noticed the ambiance was not it. The food was overpriced and overall it was not a good experience. I give this place a 2/10 and the only reason it gets a 2 is because the music was half way decent. read more

Dukunoo is a whole vibe! Everything from the DJ to the beautiful outdoor patio, you are guaranteed to have a good time. We ordered the vegan pasta with ackee and callaloo, festival, and cod fish fritters. The vegan pasta was disappointing. The flavor was good, but the consistency was watery and the noodles were over cooked. We enjoyed the festival and the codfish fritters. The drinks were also really good! The vibe and atmosphere definitely makes up for the food. read more

After checking out Wynnwood Walls, we followed our nose and ears, and ended up at Dukunoo. This place took us right back to Jamaica in the best way possible. Food/drinks: The platter was A LOT of food for 2, complete with jerk pork (amazing, brisket-like), ribs (okay), chicken (heard it was good), festival (delicious fried goodness), and fried plantain (nice and sweet). We left with full tummies and brought home plenty of chicken leftovers. Cocktails were sweet, strong, and fit the vibe. Service: Nice server but not super attentive. Had to flag him over when they forgot our plantain, but it was quickly taken care of. Would ask to speak to manager next time to handle allergies, as our server was nice but not that helpful. Ambiance: The DJ alone made the stop worth it; we were ready to dance on a Wed at 6 pm! Interesting mix of folks. We sat outside on the garden patio: recommended. Wish there would have been vaccine checks and mask wearing, but maybe that's not a thing in Miami? I was surprised by the low reviews but did not make reservations and went early eve on a weekday; this might have helped. For us, fun experience and great food! read more

The Vibe is definitely dope, the food is definitely lack luster for the price. The service was very nice! My family and I visited Dukunoo over the weekend. They raved about the food so we were excited to try. Unfortunately I didn't get any pics, but they swore by the ox tails. I decided against the $35 plate and decided to get the rasta pasta & the Fiancé got curry goat. The Rasta Pasta, just pass on it. Unless you like regular Alfredo with skinny strips of onion and a pepper. There was no seasoning at all. My Fiancé said his goat wasn't that great, not seasoned and he also had the largest piece of ginger in his pot as well. The food does not justify the price whatsoever! The fam killed their oxtail plates, so I guess they were a hit, but our food was definitely disappointing. Im sorry to say, but Jamaicans would be very disappointed if they tried this place. Again, service and vibe top notch! The Dj Was fantastic! Food, No thanks! :( read more

So here's what's up, before anyone comes for me.... I have had Caribbean food all over the western hemisphere and know what I like as well as what's reasonable. Our server was a bit preoccupied, by what, I'm not sure, but it would easily be 30 minutes in between us seeing him. We ordered drinks and by about the 35 minute mark when we had to flag him down, I simply said, I'll take the check. Knowing we had other spots to hit. He was a little pissed as he was like you ordered drinks and we were like yeah, a whole Simpsons episode ago.... You gotta keep the party going or people lose interest. And we certainly did. The food.... I'm a firm believer of so goes the appetizers, so goes the meal. We ordered the Saltfish Frittaz and the Akee rolls. Both came out not hot, very luke warm and as far as taste- MID! So much so, while waiting on our drinks and eating the ok food, we decided it was time to go. I bet if I was younger and vibing like most were, I would give glowing reviews, but an older more refined BigFella says, step yo game up! Especially for the full bill I paid! I may go back for the vibe, but not the food. I have had better out of a steel drum on the side of the street, literally! read more

Came here to grab a late bite while in the area. There was a line out the door when we arrived around 10:30pm. Music was blasting & you could see from the windows they were packed. The wait wasn't too long but you can definitely pay to skip the line. Security is at the door so be prepared to be searched. We sat inside. Outdoor seating is preferred amongst most patrons but the patio area is certainly a vibe. This entire establishment gives club vibes. Don't expect to hold much conversation as it's extremely loud. The DJ is bomb! Drinks are on point. Hookah is offered. As an appetizer we started with the jerk chicken & pork sliders. The jerk chicken slider was immaculate. Literally perfect. The pork was ok but too spicy for my liking. For my entree I decided on the oxtails ($35). The food didn't take too long to arrive. Everything smelled delicious. For the price of the oxtail dish I was disappointed in portion size. There were only 6 oxtails & two were basically just bones. The larger pieces were mostly fat & the meat wasn't tender enough to fall the bone. Flavor wise, the dish was great just a tad bit too salty for my liking. Rice & peas were delicious. I would love to return for brunch & to try some of the other menu items. read more

Sooooo if you know a little something about Jamaican food this place would be a severe disappointment and overall just pure comedy. $20 for 10 little piece of jerk pork (some burnt), a tablespoon of veg, with a side of overcook festival and no rice is simply just a rip off. Understand you're probably just attending for the music and vibe which is why this place gets not 1, but 2 stars. We had reservations for 9 pm ... they had us wait at the front of the line for 45 minutes for a table that was empty since we initially arrived at 9 pm. The waitress literally asked us what we wanted as we were sitting down. I told her to give us a second. She came back 15 minutes later like "are y'all gonna order or what"?. We literally just had to laugh - she wasn't even Jamaican so it's not even like I could justify it to foreshadow how good the food may be. (IYKYK) Then she told us the wait for food was 1 hour and 30 minutes which we were willing to wait for .. but HERE's THE KICKER: our food came out in literally 10 minutes... tasted like it took 10 minutes too. Do not recommend unless you pregame (drinks are weak) and just looking for a good Caribbean vibe in Wynwood. That's all. Hate to criticize my folks but there is tremendous room for improvement. read more

This is a Jamaican Restaurant was very busy in the outdoor patio area. We sat inside. The music was loud but that's what you get in Wynnwood. The food was really good. I had the passion fruit ginger lemonade non alcoholic was excellent. The Jamaican corn was very good and so was the Saltfish Frittaz. I then had the DJK Ribs which was excellently juicy. We also had the jerk wings and fries were very good. Crest Plantain bites with fish inside were also very good. I also saw a couple that had the whole snapper dish which looked amazing and very big. Great for people watching and listening to music. It would have better if they played more Jamaican Reggae but you can't have it all. read more

Had an okay experience! Heard a lot about this restaurant so I decided to try it out Parking is a bit rough in this area. If you can get street parking , that's great. Otherwise you will have to park in an expensive garage There was no wait for the restaurant when we got there. We were seated outside . The seating was good except when it got dark there was no lighting by our table so we could barely see our food. We asked on lore than one occasion for some kind of lighting and all they bought us was some tea light candles that didn't help . We ended up just using the flash light on our phones. Service was pretty quick . I ordered the shrimp and rice and plantains. It was average . My drink was pretty good and my hookah was great ! Except they charged $60 for a hookah. Definitely over priced for a dining experience. All in all I would come back but definitely be prepared to spend some money and I wouldn't come back for dining, more so for small bites and the late night party experience read more

I had the best jerk chicken from this place. The food here is so flavorful. The chicken was mild spicy and has a smoky delicious flavor. The jerk sauce wasn't bad either. I also had the oxtail served with rice and peas. The food was great. Now the portion size of the oxtail was small. They give you 4 pieces of oxtail in gravy and a small bowl of rice for $30. This was a bit much but hey, it's oxtail I guess. I also tried the jerk ribs. It was really good. Overall the food was delicious. This is a restaurant /mini club. They had a Dj and all. Great vibe. For some time, Miami has had a small inventory of restaurants where you can dress cute, sit down, enjoy the ambiance and eat good Caribbean food. Dukunoo has potential to be this special something for our community, that isn't just take out or a drive thru. While I am thrilled to see so many patrons flocking to support this black owned business in Wynwood, I do think that their staff and management are extremely overwhelmed with the amount of people trying to come in their doors, thus the not so positive reviews about their customer service or lack there of. We know that there is a stigma of Caribbean restaurants and customer service, but that definitely needs to change. I won't bash anyone or knock them down because I want to see this business thrive. I came here with a party of 9, and while we had reservations, we did have to wait in a line as if we were going into a club to check id and bags. I've only been for dinner but I wouldn't say this is a family friendly place. We sat outside under a tent, and ended up having to ask for our table to be rearranged because you could barely pass to sit. It took almost half hour for a waiter to even touch our table and even just offer a water, and this only happened because we brought it to the hostess' attention. We didn't make a fuss and enjoyed the vibes the DJ was playing but again, it was packed and you can see the staff was overwhelmed. For drinks, I started with the rum punch which was strong, but delish. I ended up with two rounds because that's one of my fave drinks. We ordered several plates of fried chicken and fries because of we were all so hungry and dancing up an appetite that we just wanted to focus on keeping the vibes for my friend's 40th. The chicken was well seasoned but some pieces were over fried on each plate we received. For myself, I ordered a side of the jerk corn on the cob which was fire and I could eat that by itself lol. I would like to come back during brunch to give them another try. My advice to this establishment is that SoFlo has nuff Caribbean fetes to go around. While good vibes and dancing are certainly a part of a great dining experience, focus on what people are saying about your customer service, food presentation and deliverance, and you will go a long way. read more

Was on vacation in Miami and we were determined to find some delicious oxtails. According to the reviews, their food is so good... Sadly, we were disappointed. We went around 9 that night where it turns into more of a lounge type vibe. The oxtails were sooo flavorful but they didn't cook them long enough . The jerk chicken was flavorful as well but too dry. We did stay a while and had some drinks and just vibed. The music was cool. From my experience... you usually have to go to these restaurants during the day because I feel like they focus more on the food...not when they turn into a lounge/club at night. Service was good too read more

The Rastaman Pasta was sooooo good. Love that there are a number of no meat or spice options. The service was without concern. The music and outside setting provided a nice ambiance. I would definitely return again. Upon leaving is see the crowd picks up a bit in the evening and a DJ is narrating with the music so I would probably return early evening to dine without a crowd. But if a party vibe is what you are going for I would definitely recommend 8:30ish and on. I notice they have a service charge and not gratuity. Most times, (I am told) this goes to the restaurant and not the wait staff so please remember to tip on top of the service fee. The service is worth it. Our waitress was well aware of the menu and provided great recommendations. read more

This was a fun experience and paired with great food! You can't beat that! Me and my home girl went here for dinner and it was so much fun. The meat was perfect and their sauce was so good and kept putting it on my rice to not waste it. 3 minutes ago New If I can give this place 100 0 stars I would ! I came here with reservations and my money ready to spend. I sat on a line for an hour while the security guard got aggressive with me after asking for an estimated time on when I will be seated. He let in at least 50 people while I was waiting on line with a reservation he let in friends and people he knew. This is a horrible establishment very unprofessional the way they treat people. I even told him that I'll pay whatever I need and buy how many ever bottles to get seated it's not an issue. I'm a woman and was scared by the way he approached and spoke to me this evening, please be mindful I will also take a picture of him if I see him again so everyone is aware of this mad man. Made a reservation to celebrate my wife's birthday. Brought the whole family, 19 of us altogether. Although i don't have a photo of our drinks, they were the only highlight of our experience. The food to me was not really Jamaican but tasted more like it's "inspired" by Jamaican cuisine. And i would say it was overpriced, even for Wynwood. The music outside was an eclectic mix from the dj and, again, not what I would expect from a Jamican spot. I would also say that the staff is on point, especially security. Thank God since it does seem to be overrun by young 20 somethings. If it wasn't for the drinks, our overall experience would probably drop to a 2 star review. read more

The pasta wasn't my favorite, I would totally skip that. It was just plain pasta truthfully, nothing special. Service was okay. When I tipped I didn't know they charge you a 20% service charge. If I could give it zero stars I would. Arrived at 805pm Got seated at 815pm. Did not get our first drinks to 908pm. During that time we asked several Times to Order and get service. The new manager who had no lt been there for two weeks apologized saying a chef walked out and he would take care of us. Unfortunately he brought us out our food and then we sent back all of the rice and peas. They were uncooked and nasty. We sent them back and waited an additional hour and never received anything. We asked many times for the mana fee and he never came to the table. I would never come back to this place. Horrible service; limited menu and not able to Manage several tables.
