This is my first time trying their brunch. There was no wait time to be seated but was shocked at the limited options for brunch. Being a restaurant that served a Jamaican cuisine, I was very disappointed. The lobster macaroni and cheese was exactly just that . A macaroni pie and a fried lobster on it . I really thought that was misleading . It should have just been fried lobster with a side of Mac & cheese. I was very disappointed !! The oxtail Benedict was not great. The meal just didn't jive together. And it was so cold . Not even sure why fried plantains were severed with it. Jerk chicken for brunch served with home style fries ?? Another weird combination for brunch . We also ordered the chicken and waffles and it was plain and boring. Overall, it wasn't the worst brunch experience, but definitely not worth returning. read more

Dukunoo This was a very vibey Caribbean restaurant in the heart of wynwood. I came with my friend on a Sunday evening around 9:30 and we had to find street parking. I made reservations beforehand and was glad that they were able to seat us immediately. I will say there was a little "hold up" with the bouncer guy at the door as he wouldn't let me in until my friend came and got me from the door (I dropped her off while I was parking the car). He was also holding up another guy at the door over something he needed to go put back in his car. Needless to say, getting inside was like getting inside of a club where you have to be pat down and searched before entry. There's an inside and an outside patio that is covered. The inside was more of the restaurant chill vibe whereas outside there were people with little sections and hookah so I believe this spot is more like a restaurant/lounge. They were playing Caribbean music from a DJ booth and it was very loud so if you want an intimate dining experience where you can talk and converse, this may not be the spot. I think we came right at the perfect time because it literally started to get PACKED with people right after we were sat. It was very busy and the waiters were understaffed so it took a while to get our orders taken and for the food to come out although I can see that the server was trying his best. On to the food. Personally I felt like there wasn't much of a variety of options to choose from for the appetizer, entrees, and drink menu. Like 4-5 items each. Also, they were a little more pricey compared to other Caribbean restaurants I've been to. I ended up getting the oxtails with rice and peas and the passion fruit infused ginger lemonade. My friend got the Jamaican jerk burger. My drink was good but very strong on the ginger so just an fyi. I enjoyed my food as it was well seasoned, a good portion and came out hot. I probably should've added a side to have a bit more variety. My friend had to send her burger back because it was cold and the Fries weren't very fresh. When it came back out she said it was just okay, nothing spectacular. Overall, it was a nice vibe to end our Sunday night but I'd probably want to try their brunch menu next time. I'd give the total experience a 3.5/5 because it could've been a little better with the service and more options but it was cool. I'll round up to 4 since I actually finished my food lol read more

Dunkunoo.!! This is my 3rd coming here. The food is still delicious!!!!! I gave here 5 stars bc i couldn't give it 4.5 only bc the shots were so small. I didn't get a picture of how small the shot cups were . But the food is the main reason we're here. Food will not disappoint! Service was nice and fast. Food didn't take long to come. We came to dinner at a great time. Dj was also an additional bonus. Great music and food go hand in hand read more

Food: 3.5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 5/5 The vibes were pretty good on a Saturday. There was a dj on the patio where we sat and he was playing great tunes! I will say the ambiance of this place was very nice despite Wynwood being a very small place to deal with. Parking was the typical. Busy & depends on where you park it'll be a walk. Luckily, we came at the right time since there was no wait :) On to the food... I ordered the Rasta pasta with shrimp & it was alright. The pasta could use more sauce and a bit more seasoning but nonetheless it's edible. The festival was fresh & fried nicely. Would I get this again? Probably not. I would try the escovitch and something else. The sorrel was fine! Missing a bit more alcohol but safe to drink! They had a brunch there earlier and when we arrived they were on the brinks of closing it up. We were offered to try the brunch but we declined. The price of the food was not a problem. People have to recognize that authentic Jamaican food does cost $$$ and a lot prep + time. Also, the location of Wynwood is pricey as well, so I don't mind spending a buck or two on authentic food. I will come back & try something else possibly one day! The manager came by and checked on us. Which was pretty nice of her to do. I recommend the non Jamaican servers to know the menu items better. Our server was not Jamaican but he was a bit lost in explaining what certain items were. I, myself, am Jamaican so I had to explain what certain dishes were/ made from so that the non Jamaicans at my table weren't lost. I would've rated service a 3 but the manager did check on us & the server was swift! But knowing your menu is absolutely essential. This has been the best food I've tried in Wynwood so far so I can give Dukunoo 4/5! read more

This place was recommended to me by someone who has traveled to Miami a lot, and said that they really enjoyed their time at the spot. I knew I had to get my Jamaican food fix while in the area, and figured I would get here eventually. After the beach, my friend and I were starving. So tank tops, trunks, and flip-flops equipped, we made our way here and wow! From outside, we could hear a DJ blasting music, there was security, and people were everywhere. This was one of the few times where I didn't do much research beforehand and just decided to go with the flow. I glanced their page, but I did not see anything indicating it was a club. My friend lives in South Miami and this is Wynwood, so I was concerned that we weren't going to get in! Thankfully, there was no dress code. So, we waited a few minutes to get in (YES, it was full) and we asked for a table. There were none! But the bar had just enough seats for us on the end. Our bartender was cool, but oh my goodness was it busy. And when we got the menus, I was shocked by the price of everything! It was more expensive than I expected, and so I started to get nervous. This place seemed like a club, was the food going to be good??? I ordered the vegan ackee rolls (egg rolls filled with ackee & callaloo) and a side of rice and peas and festival. While waiting, I ordered rum punch. Obviously, that came first, and after my first sip I was content. At least they got the wrong punch right, but what about the food??? My friend's food came first, which was oxtail stew in a small pot. He seemed pleased once he tasted it. Then my food arrived, and those rolls... Oh my gosh. First of all, I have never tasted anything like that before. And I don't know what the dipping sauce was, but it was amazing. The rice and peas was delicious, but personally I felt like it needed more peas. My friend was gracious enough to let me pour some of his oxtail stew on my rice and peas, and that really set it off! The festival did its job too, but I didn't need that fried dough ultimately XD. All that being said, this place was worth it... You just gotta know what you're getting into. The DJ had an excellent set list, and folks were happily dancing in the next room over. When I return to Miami, I'm partying there! read more

Delicious Jamaican food! This restaurant is located in Wynwood, parking here is definitely challenging- you will likely have to roam around to find some street parking. They take reservations. Came here with friends for dinner. There is a bouncer at the entrance that checks IDs and bags. Once inside, the hostess was very friendly. We chose to sit inside, but they also have an outdoor seating area. The restaurant is nicely decorated, very trendy and fitting for the area. Nice spot for a casual or dressy dinner. The food was a 10/10 all around. We got the saltfish frittaz and sliders to start. The frittaz were crispy and paired perfectly with the sauce. The sliders were also delicious! The meat was tender and well seasoned, and paired nicely with the slaw. For entrees we ordered oxtail and the jerk chicken. The oxtail was the star of the show. The meat was so tender that it just fell off the bone, and it was perfectly seasoned. The rice & peas were a bit bland, but once you add the oxtail gravy on top- it completely elevates it. The jerk chicken was also very good, but it could use a bit more of a kick. It's not spicy at all, but it was super tender and flavorful. The sweet plantains and festival were a 10/10, both savory and sweet. We also really enjoyed our drinks. I will say that you will spend a pretty penny coming here, but it will be worth it. I would definitely return again, our food was delicious! P.S PLEASE TRY THE OXTAIL! read more

If you want the WORST oxtail in Miami come here. Let me start by saying the service was AWFUL. Didn't get greeted or a water until 15 mins in. Food came out and it was honestly 0/10. In the wynwood area, place was lively and loud. I think the outside patio was having a game night or some sorts. Food was ok. We ordered a side of the Mac and cheese and it was a huge portion, and probably the best thing I ordered. My oxtails were the small bone kind, and the gravy was super thin. It had great flavor but needed a little more meat on the bone and a little thickness to the gravy. My man finished his curry plate with no issues and no complaints. I did have enough oxtails to take home for leftovers. When we were gathering our checks, the waitress accidentally paid for another tables tab with our cards that left us with over a hundred dollars of pending charges for the weekend. It was resolved, but inconvenient. I'd come here again for the vibes and the macaroni, but I'd double check my check before I give them my card. read more

Great Jamaican spot in wynwood. I came here on a suggestion from a friend who lived in Kingston and said this was his favorite spot for Jamaican food. And I would agree it was great! We sat outside and def had the vibes of a Jamaican spot. They were playing some classic Jamaican tunes and eventually brought in a live dJ as we were leaving. I will say the music can get load so be prepared for that. Now onto the food....I ordered the DJK rib combo. The ribs were big and the bbq sauce was perfect. The food does come a la carte so you'll probably want to add some additional sides. The one thing I wish they had were spicy Jamaican Pattie's but the ribs were perfectly cooked. Ribs also came with festival and some slaw. Both of these were very delicious as well. It is a little bit pricey but I would expect this since it is a higher end Jamaican restaurant. I would highly suggest coming here and will be back again read more

Let's start off by saying the bathroom was disgusting the entitre experience really, even after I alerted the manager. The big stall didn't lock, the low amount of toilet paper provided was on the other side of the bathroom probably because there was no paper towels, napkins, or hand dryer. I went to the outside sink to wash my hands and the paper towel roll they provided to dry our hands :/ was covered in dirt, hair and god knows what else (pic below). The manager came to the table and we voiced our concerns but after going to the bathroom 30 mins later, nothing was changed. Same dirty toilet paper roll and nothing to dry or wash our hands. We stayed for the food because we already ordered it. Jerk chicken was lukewarm and dry. Dryyyy. At this point the experience is underwhelming. Ordered the brown stew snapper and it was good. $65 MP at the time. Unfortunately I will not be back. Had this restaurant saved for two years, and it was disappointing overall. read more

Me and my husband arrived at dukunoo on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm. They just a buffet brunch with a dj playing a variety of music and lots of throwback. Indoors was a little too loud but outside was just right! You also have the opportunity to choose item for the menu. I went with the chicken curry. The rice and peas were very soft and fresh. And the chicken curry was mildly spicy with a kick to it the flavors are very beautifully created together. The chicken fall off the bone! The Mac and cheese was very good soft as well the noodles were perfect. The cabbage is spicy so be careful! My husband enjoyed the lamb chops as well he said they were flavorful and cooked well with a dipping sauce of your choice. read more

Then I added Rice and peas on side Festival 3 pieces 2 drinks Received only 2 drinks and plantain Called 4 times! Kept hanging up on me never spoke to a human. Door dash had to refund. Don't order from them they don't care there. If they did they wouldn't be sending out half orders not even half orders. They basically sent us no meal!!!! Anyone who knows me, knows my love for Jamaican food! I am very particular with ordering Jamaican food because it has to be done right. Expectations were exceeded. I typically order oxtails, so I decided to give theirs a try. These were the most tender oxtails I've ever eaten. You get a decent portion as well. It only comes with rice and peas. If you want an additional side, you'd have to purchase one separately. We made reservations our first night in Miami and enjoyed it so much we took an impromptu trip back the next night around 10pm. :) they stay open pretty late and serve nothing but vibes! There's indoor and outside dining options and there is a DJ outside. The second time we dined inside and if I'm not mistaken, there was a DJ inside as well. At the very least, there's a nice playlist with different music in both dining areas. read more

Customer service is abysmal. As a business money is important but keeping customers is what truly matters. They have a 2 hour table policy but instead of keeping to that we were told to get up and they did not give an alternative that allowed us to keep the product (hookah, which was overly priced). They talk down to you and then wonder why you get upset. Horrible experience. Learn to actually care for your customers read more

Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen in Wynwood is an absolute culinary treasure, and my recent experience indulging in their Lik Yuh Fingas Oxtail left me utterly impressed. As a self-proclaimed oxtail enthusiast, I can confidently say that Dukunoo delivers some of the best I've ever had. The Lik Yuh Fingas Oxtail was rich, hearty flavors that danced on my taste buds with each tender bite. I'm not sure how this restaurant gets away with calling themselves a Jamaican restaurant. The jerk corn was regular roasted corn. The Rasta pasta had no rasta. I had to ask for jerk sauce on the side and that was watered down. I've had better jerk sauce from a grocery store. The cabbage was salty and the shredded cheese on the $12 Mac and cheese was not needed. We spent $155 and it was truly not worth it. Would not recommend. The music also was not good. Im from NJ. I wanted a place that had a good Caribbean vibe, food and music. And since it was Miami Carnival weekend, Google recommended the place. Reading the Yelp reviews I knew service wasn't going to be good, but I took a chance any. Street parking was hard to find, so I parked 2 blocks over in a parking lot. ($20 for 3hrs). Upon walking in, we were searched by security, then just walked in and sat outside. May celebrities and socialite's were there but it wasn't crowded. We had to flag down a server because it disnt seem like anyone was assigned to tables. It was like a "free for all" with no structure. A lovely lady took our order and we got the rum punch, amaretto sour, and the whole jerk chicken that cane with festival and plaintain. The drinks took about 20 min to get to us and the food took well over an hour. The music was very good so vibing passed by time. Now let me tellllll you. The food was super UNDERWHELMING & COLD! For it to take over an hour, the chicken tasted like it was sitting in a pan for hours. It looked like we got chicken scrapes. It was no way we got a whole chicken like we ordered. It came with 3 crunch azz festivals, and cole slaw that taste horrible, straight vinegar. The jerk and bbq sauce was trash and not spicy. I was soooo disappointed, but asking to take back the food, we probably would have waited another hour, so me and my partner did our best to eat what we could. When asking for the check, that even took 30 min. The 2 stars is for the music because the DJ was on point and the ok drinks. Not worth $130 for 3 drinks an cold old jerk chicken. read more

First things first, everything was delicious! We ordered the plantain bites as the appetizer and had the jerk pork and curry chicken for our entrees. The plantain bites had fried snapper with the escovitch veggies on top which I loved, but it could have benefited from a sauce as it was just fried plantain with fried fish (two dry ingredients). The jerk pork tasted like it came fresh off the grill with that charcoal taste and it wasn't dry at all. While it was delicious my only meh was the price. $28 for the cheapest cut of meat and no sides just doesn't sit right with me! Well, it did come with festival but to me that's not a full meal. Our server was very warm and gave great recommendations. Loved the music and the vibes, I can see it being a fun spot to grab a drink at in the late hours. read more

Tricks are for kids and both run amuck at this establishment. When a small business is black-owned I make a chartered effort to speak with the management/owners about the experience before posting. When the "something like that" owner in charge of the kitchen came to speak to me upon request and revealed to me that staffing issues make consistency in the kitchen difficult I can empathize with that and give it another go, but when they, in turn, say that the food prices drive so much revenue it overrides poor quality, that's an integrity issue. With that said... Carl the manager and Philippe the server have great customer service and people skills which garnered this review the extra star. The rastaman pasta with perfectly cooked shrimp was the best dish we were served (albeit too al dente on some bites) but the other dishes we had were executed and served in poor taste. Saltfish fritters are literally unseasoned doughy dumplings with sparse bits of saltfish that are poorly prepared and came to us cold, the jerk chicken was delayed to the table over 30 mins with literally no update that it would take longer than the other dishes. The seasoning was off and it was dry. The festival was ok, but no. The rice was literally coagulated and poorly cooked at that, the oxtail gravy on the top left very little to be desired as well but gave it something more, at least. The jerk bbq sauce is poorly balanced in flavor and cannot compensate for the dry jerk chicken. We never should have been charged for the chicken as it took so long to come, even if its arrival was accompanied by an apology. This is a glorified lounge/bar passing off as a restaurant and the quality being served is deceptive to those who are coming to enjoy the "fine Jamaican dining" experience they boast, especially at the inflated HollyWynwood prices they are being sold at. I am both Jamaican and have a discerning palette, Dukunoo missed the mark on the food largely. The drinks are also not at all worth the prices in terms of execution, but the location awards them the benefit here. Glad to see them winning in spite, I always want to see my people win, but it's not cool to allow patrons to waste their hard-earned coin on something you know is not worthy. Convert it to a lounge to justify the dry "doorman/security", to magnify the good vibes and sell small well-prepared bites. Will not be back here. read more

Food was solid. Prices are excessive and a basic meal will tap your pockets. Watch out for the 20% service charge on your overall bill, and be mindful of the prices on the dishes in general. Our bill for (3) entrees, side of plantains, side of Mac & Cheese, and beverage came out to $165.00. $30+ of that was service charge and taxes. Food quality was good. Jerk Chicken was good, Ox Tails was good, and rice and peas were good. They could improve the portions, as well as sides included with the meals. A quality restaurant doesn't need to seem like a tourist trap. I really liked the live DJ and overall ambiance, and vibe of the spot. read more
