The absolutely worst Beauty Supply store in Durham. OVERLY Priced and terrible customer service. If your a stylist they WILL NOT honor your license. The only reason they worth going to is because they're open early and close late. Go to Beauty World or the Beauty Supply on Glenn School rd. They're the best Beauty supply store in Durham. I come here all the time i am a regular ! The people that work here are so sweet and nice they stay up to date with new products and styles ! The manager and his son always help me and help me when i need to find something. They also are open late for rain check days when i need to find something to do ! The younger guy in his 20s even taught me how to say hello in arabic , this by far is one of the friendliest beauty supply stores ive been to and ive been going here since 2016 ! read more

They have everything anyone could need or want in the store as far as hair products. Solid selection of hair and wigs but they could stand to carry more colors of braid hair. Prices are consistent with the market. I have had nothing but positive interactions with the store employees and I'm there often. Minus one star as the store could be a little cleaner/organized - I have tripped over items on display on the floor. read more

Pretty good beauty supply store. They have all your hair needs. Hair products such as dyes, moisturizers, shampoos, oils etc. They have hair accessories for children and adults, headbands, barretts, clips etc. They even had some shoes, hats, and belts. They had a decent variety of synthetic hair options, braided hair, tracks, crotchets, and wigs (human hair as well). I'm most excited about the fact they are open ON SUNDAYS and until 9pm. The prices seem comparable to other stores and the gentleman were very friendly. Apparently they have been in business about 15 years. They do not carry the specific hair I wanted but they had most of what I needed, including vibrant bold colors. I am sure I will be back because I always find myself needing a beauty supply store on Sundays when all the other ones are closed. This is a great find for me! 4 Stars all the way! read more

The owner racially profiles his customers, I shopped in the duke wig beauty supply store. I am a black woman he followed me around the entire store. Another woman comes in from another race he freely let her shop in peace. I make my purchase and left the store. I remember that I had to get a gift for someone so I came back to the store. In the front that had beauty bracelets, I asked the question to cashier much are they. The owner or the owner's Son comes behind me. I turn around and said to him would you like my bag that the items that I have already paid for. He takes it. I turn around and said to him you are making me feel very uncomfortable. He said I am just doing my job. I have shopped in the store before. I respectfully said to him, I work for everything and paid for everything thing that I own, He told me to get out of the store. I told him I would like to return the items, and he told me again to get out of the store and would not let me return the items. So I left. There are laws put into place by the United States in 1964 race, the Rights Act of 1866, and the Right Act of 1964. I went to the supply store today, and I was falsely accused of stealing one of the wigs. It was all because I was black I will never shop here ever again All i was doing was trying one of the wigs on. And the guy accuse me of stealing one of their wigs he then proceeded to give me the wig for free, but I told him to put a receipt in the bag stating that It was free so that way I won't get the police called on me. Because I was willing to pay for the wig simply because I came in there to buy one in the first place He then told me that I can have it for free if I would just get out of The store. Also I should mention that he almost threaten to take me and my friend to court over this false accusation, he claimed that he saw us on the camera stealing one of their wigs. Then he also told me to open my pocketbook so he could look inside, I will not stand for this racial profiling type shit But nobody should shop hear if the people are just going to falsely accuse you of something that you clearly didn't do All because the color of your skin Especially if they don't know you from Adam. Also I should mention that this guy who works at this store clearly saw i was trying on the wig because he came back there to help us he offered to drop the price which was $20 down to $15 I was willing to pay either way but the fact that I was falsely accused over something that I didn't do is a very hurtful thing all because I am black. I even told him to pull up the camera feed showing that I was clearly trying on the wig not stealing it. I will never shop here again. Worst experience ever... Why would you accused a visually impaired person of stealing one of your products? Maybe next time he's going to falsely accuse me being blind. read more

This stores employees/ owner do NOT WEAR MASKS or ANY FACE COVERINGS. I visited this store once before and when I saw the guy standing behind the counter with no mask, I just walked out. The second time I visited I had the same issue when I addressed it with management I was offered excuses. Come on people!! My health is worth more than me risking my life for some beauty products. There should be a sign that says: ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK. So I took my business down the street where they wear masks to keep their employees and customers SAFE!!
