Cut was wrong and was too short for the style I had showed her that I wanted, edges not done, and she wanted me to leave before she had even finished my hair. She acted like she was rushing and like she knew what was best for me and not taking what I wanted into account even though I showed her pictures of previous cuts I've had on what I like. She did not take care of me and now I have to find a new stylist and wait in the meantime for my hair to grow a bit more before i let someone else touch my head. I took pictures throughout the process but I will not return because I know the difference between a good stylist and one that just wants your money. The only reason I'm not giving her a one star review is because I like the color. When stylists mess up your hair I encourage people to always speak out and put it in the review because I went off all these positive reviews thinking she was going to take care of me and that was not the case.

The salon is located inside with other salon suites. The suite was nicely decorated and clean. There was a bit of a wait because there was someone there who was still being serviced. She worked with me in I had the shampooing and conditioning treatments. There was a bit of confusion with the service I booked, which was a shampoo, condition, blow-dry, and two basic cornrows. Betty quickly cleared that up and did exactly what I asked. Betty is very professional and she's experienced in the industry. I appreciated the level of customer service I received here. I'm not 100% sold that this salon is the best fit. The time I spent here was more time than what I expected for the services I booked. The experience was an overall 4-star for the professionalism and courtesy of the salon owner Betty, and the price point is reasonable. Betty gave me some hair growth cream to strengthen the parameters of my hairline and hopefully help with new hair growth. I feel like I've seen some progress there. The products used here are top tier and I'm confident that most will be satisfied with the service.

I found A Special Place online and used their contact page to make an appointment with Jessica. When I arrived, I was escorted to a private fitting room and was greeted by Jessica. She took my measurements, and brought out several wigs based on my preferences. I must have tried on 20 different wigs, and narrowed down to four finalists. Jessica kept switching them for me until I decided on the winner. I plan to visit again soon to purchase the runner-up and to get some styling done on a few wigs. They have a great selection in stock, and are CD friendly. This is indeed a special place. The staff made me feel welcome, and are very professional. And now I have the best fitting and most comfortable wig that I've ever owned. Oh, and the look is dynamite too!

When it was my turn, the consultant put one wig on my head and then looked for others, handed them to me to try on and then looked for more wigs, which I had to put on as well. We were given wigs that were not in the color requested, told to imagine what it would look like and then if we thought we would like it to leave a deposit that could only be used for store credit if we did not like the color when it came in. Since we did not purchase a wig, we were charged $55 per person for consultation. Be aware! Ask questions before you go. For 2 senior citizens to spend $55 each to "play dress-up" as it was put, turned out to be an expensive afternoon. We were told we could come back next month and see what they had gotten in. Sorry. No more expensive "dress-up" for me. I can order a wig online and send it back for a full refund and do not have to drive an hour and a half one-way to check it out.
