The worst electricians ever. They are slow, unprofessional and have no idea what they are doing. I have a bright new house that they did the electrical on and there are no switches for half of the lights. There are lights on two way relays and they do not work if one specific switch is turned off. All of the outdoor outlets and lights stopped working within less than two years after connected. In other words no weather insulation was used and they all shorted out. Fire hazard considering they are outdoors. The indoor fixtures were placed off center of the rooms and the amount of lighting installed in a single room was inadequate. The switches used were outdated clunky and of a very cheap quality. Never shows up - two appointments - no shows. Why make an appointment then doesn't show up? Never calls to cancel?

I have used Duffy Electrical since 2001. Every time I have electricity problems I call and they show up the same day. The last time I called I needed several little jobs done. A separate line for my air conditioning unit, 2 or 3 outlets fixed, overhead lighting fan removed etc. They came out and did everything the very next day. It's always been that way, too! For over 16 years! I just found these reviews because a friend of mine needs some electrical work done and I needed the phone number to pass on to her. Such an unprofessional and disorganized company - I would give zero stars if it was possible. I recently moved into my house and needed someone to come out and diagnose noises and a gas smell coming from my boiler. This company's sticker was on the boiler, so I called them first. I spoke with the owner who said that he was just finishing up a job and could come out that afternoon - perfect I said! When no one showed up or called I called back and spoke with a woman who was very rude, she said they could come out the next morning - even though a snowstorm was due to hit. When no one showed up or called - again - I called the day after the storm to reschedule and got the woman, who was even more rude - and I had not even mentioned the fact that I had made two appointments already and no one had called or showed up! I made another appointment for the next day. When no one showed up an hour after the appointment time, I called the office to confirm that someone was still coming and the woman told me yes they were still coming - they had gotten hung up at a job that morning - I said okay great. Sadly no one came that day either and no one called to apologize/reschedule. That is when I looked online for reviews of this company. Usually, I will check for reviews first, before calling a company, but since this company's sticker was on the furnace I figured the previous owner had used them so they were reliable. Imagine my surprise when I found a review on yelp that was almost EXACTLY the same experience I had just had! That is when I looked for another company to do this service for me and found one that came out the same day I called and did a fabulous job! I do not like to write negative reviews - but this experience was so ludicrous I had to share so as to hopefully save someone else the trouble and inconvenience of dealing with this organization! Had electrical problems at my home. Called these people because they have been around a while. Figured being in business for an extended period of time they would have their act together. Boy was I wrong. I made an appointment number 1. No show, so I called. Gave an excuse and said he would call in a couple of hours after he gets in touch with his crew to update me. Ok, I said understandingly. Couple of hours goes by and no call. I wait an extra hour and call him. Gave another excuse and again he said he would call back in a couple of hours. Couple of hours rolls by same thing happened, no call. I wait and .... well you get the idea. This happened 4 times the first day. And get this it happened 3 times the next day. Hello? So..... finally after a TON of hassles and excuses and constant follow ups from me he gets to my home. He starts work. Half way through he says he's going to get parts. He gets them. He comes back with the wrong parts. But me being an understanding guy I say ok make these wrong parts work as best you can. He starts work. He finishes. We pay. He leaves. An hour later I notices he wired the parts wrong. They weren't functioning as they should. Call him back and have to go the the chase down episode mentioned above. A couple days later he comes back. Rewires it. FINALLY it works. Was it worth all the hassle? Absolutely not. My advice, steer clear. Their conduct stated above indicates that they are not professional like they were many years ago.
