    Carbonara
    Brittany W.

There are really limited options in terminal 2, so during a long layover, I found myself picking here because it looked like more of a sit down restaurant with real food. When I walked in, there was no hostess stand, so I started to seat myself, but then someone quickly directed me to sit somewhere else instead. There are tablets on the table that you can order with - they're somewhat intuitive, but when it came time to pay, my card didn't read in their slider. An employee came over and tried to help me and also had to swipe (aggressively) five times before it would even go. I ordered the carbonara, which was fine but not anything special. The pancetta wasn't very good, but I was hungry enough to eat it still. If you're expecting service, think again. They will drop your food off and never come back. This was probably the most expensive "fast" food experience I've ever had. Wouldn't return.

I have a layover of three hours and it's nice to get a restaurant like watery rather than just overpriced wrapped sandwiches. At least on can seat and relax at a table, get a drink and a meal. From appetizers to a full meal of pasta, meats, fish paninis. Full Bar is available. I ordered the Linguini, with Prosciutto & Peas in a Creamy The linguini was not al dente, a bit over. Accompany by a Peroni. I got there as the place was calming down and tables were emptying. One orders online. My server was attentive and nice.

Passing through JFK on our way to Boston. We needed food over our two hour layover. Terminal 2 has limited food options. We were starving and they were still serving breakfast so we popped in. I-Pads were on each table to place your orders. It reminded me of a Wawa in that regard. You paid in advance with credit card swipers at the table. It was expensive but a) it's New York b) it's the Airport c) where else can we go? I had two scrambled eggs, home fries, biscuit, and added a side of bacon. That was nearly $18 dollars. The food was very good. Crystal had French Toast which was also very good. Iced tea (unsweetened, we are in the north) and sodas were $4.40 each.

No waiting to be seated Wine list good Friendly service Good selection of food Easy order pad Self ordering on iPad Can add tip too Since you place your order and the waitress brings it to you. I would consider what your tip amount is There are plenty of charging stations at the bar and at the tables but NONE at the CORNER BOOTH

Half bottle of wine which seems to be a better bargain.

Getting through TSA is an interesting experience. I think they tried to make the terminal appealing, but the dining options are limited. The only low end is a Wendy's and the coffee place. We looked at all of the places and decided on Due Amici. The hostess was nice and offered us a two top, we asked about a booth but it's for three or more. I even joked that we're big guys that could pass for three, and that made her nervously laugh...LOL! Our server was very friendly and explained what we must do. Okay, so how often do they clean these iPads? Yes, it's expensive for airport food. We ordered a half bottle of wine which was surprisingly good. I ordered the rigatoni with bolognese. It was decent, though the ground beef was flavorless compared to the pork. I should accepted more parmesean. Daveed's meatball sandwich was better and came with a small mixed green salad. The server even brought out more dressing for him. Although, his order came out about 10 minutes after mine. Overall, it's decent, though expensive. The only consolation about paying before hand is that you don't have to flag anyone down for a check. Another thing about the wait time, anyone who sits in the lounge areas with the iPads can order from any of the restaurants. So this explains the delay. Again, it is a decent option. My experience seems to have been better than some.

I was surprised by this restaurant. Easy to order , iPad and pay at the bar or table. You also have from attendants if you have any questions. The young lady was very nice and attentive to me. Not overbearing but helpful. I ordered a Black Bean Burger. Yea, I know I was taking a chance. I was pleasantly surprised, the sandwich was very good. Especially, for an airport restaurant. I have to admit, that they were very attentive to my needs. They young lady with long black hair was very pleasant and she smiled a lot. Was interested in serving you . I would give it a five star, but the beer pricing is up there. Oh that is right, I am in NY not Tulum where I came from. I also had the Affogato for desert. It was delicious.

I'm not a fan of Airport food, but honestly, Due Amici was interestingly decent. With limited eating options in Terminal 2, (I felt) Amici pulled it off. Amici goes for the tablet ordering system- which is totally genius and made ordering easy! Tablet stands are permanent- however, some Tablets are removable and stands serve as a pedestal for a Pizza tray. But our corner booth's tablets were permanent and took away from table space. So in that respect, they were really annoying and not comfortable as we kinda had to rotate and pass plates over tablets to share with each other. It was really easy ordering and navigating using icons and language selections. Menu had a bit of everything and think I underestimated their quality. My Misticanza Salad with Shrimp was luscious. Mom and my hubby enjoyed their ham sandwiches and our Parmesan Cheese plate, was very good! Only time we came across an issue was "opening the tab" then trying to pay at the end. Which at that point, we flagged a server and assured hubby since our transaction didn't go through the first time in our Tablet- that she's canceled and would use another empty table's Tablet right next to us. I don't know about any of the other eateries in this Terminal, but Amici's made for instant access ordering- food was good but just gonna go with a 3+1/2.

They also have not given me any or silver I had to ask for utensils after waiting for so long and they gave me plastic to go utensils.

Disappointing. My server's name is micheal. My food was the size of my palm and I didnt get any water and I still don't have water while I am typing this and they gave me plastic utensils to eat with while I'm eating in when everyone else has water and silverware. I am staring at their silverware pile yet I have plastic I hate the waste.

We ordered the captain Lawrence capitain's kolsch... it says "low in bitterness and small amount of the fruitiness", but it's toooooooo bitter and a nice amount of fruitiness. We use the iPad to order and the service was quick.

$27 mushroom ravioli. Embarrassed to say I ordered this.

Thieves. This place isn't about guest experience or food, it's simply a money making scam. You'll order your meal and pay your tab on an immovable iPad positioned on the center of the table before dinner is served. The iPads, placed in portrait mode, prevent any conversation with whoever you're having dinner with since they're placed right in front of your face on the table. You'll feel completely disassociated from a server to ask questions about what you're ordering, portion sizes, or their recommendations. A food runner will bring out entrees one at a time- just in time for you to notice the portions which are sure to disappoint you. The short of it: They serve up $10 McNothing meals with a 300% markup. They won't actually take your order, all they do is bus your table and bring the food- and they expect 18% gratuity. Who wants to pay $30 for 6 small mediocre ravioli? Is this the future of dining? I hope not! Stay away.

Don't be fooled by the fancy self ordering kiosks. Do not go here. This place's food is terrible. Surprised they're still in business.

Horrible service! Even worse food. And super pricey. Save yourself the anguish and eat somewhere else.

For a really cheap price, your custom ordered pasta will be made right in front of you, along with two loaves of garlic bread. Yes, loaves. It was decently flavored, nice garlic kicks in the Alfredo, and the chicken tasted fresh and grilled, rather than pressed. I would go here again!

But apparently not simple enough for these folks. Or maybe he was just mad at me for asking him to make it over because I saw him dump copious amounts of cheese on top (and that ladies and gentlemen is what they rely on to flavor this dish.) Yet again ...I ate it; raw jar garlic, five leaves of spinach and all. I guess I deserved this. Not a single restaurant here has heard of a vegan. I should have bought my own food.
