Service from the bartender was great. He offered up some suggestions, which I needed because they have a large menu loaded with so many appetizing and amazing looking options. I started with their potstickers... They came out with a hard, fried shell and the dipping sauce went nicely with them. Enough to share, or even enough to enjoy and still have room for an entrée. My main dish was their Chicken & Waffle. This isn't some ordinary chicken and waffle, it's definitely an amped up version, made with unique and interesting ingredients, culminating in great flavors! The chicken was so large and very tender - it was amazing! The bacon and sauce on top went with it nicely, and the chive waffle was great with it! Each bite was definitely amazing! This was a great experience, I can see why they have so many reviews and such high stars, those are well-deserved stars!! Definitely recommend stopping in here!

The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, which made it even more enjoyable. I ordered fried calamari along with single chicken wings tossed in an Asian sweet and spicy sauce--both dishes were flavorful and satisfying. The combination of crispy textures and bold flavors really stood out. What made the experience even better was the service. Our server was amazing--attentive, friendly, and truly great at her job. She made us feel welcome from the start. I always enjoy trying new places, and this visit did not disappoint. If you're looking for an American restaurant near Niagara Falls, this is definitely worth trying. We ended the meal with a delicious dessert, which was the perfect sweet finish to a great experience.

It took forever to get (tables who were seated after us got their food before us) and we didn't order anything complicated or unusual. The breakfast potatoes were the best part of my meal. We were seated after a few minutes at a table in the corner, which had enough room for the four of us. I had settled on the Triple D breakfast, while my husband had settled on the eggs benedict, and my kids the French toast bites and kids egg breakfast. Overall, the food was well-portioned, and cooked well. We could tell that the ingredients were fresh, and that the chef took his/her time to cook the meal, as the eggs were cooked completely through. Considering the prices that we had paid, we were stuffed, and didn't have to eat until later on in the evening. The food did take long though, and we had to wait in-line for a bit to pay for the bill. Service was good, as the waitress came to check on us a few times during our meal. Overall, a great place to start the day!

And given that we were going to arrive in the morning, I assumed I'd be ordering something breakfast-adjacent. However, we were handed full menus when we sat down, so I was basically forced to order the same thing I always get at Bob Evans: the Double Cheese Pot Roast Dip ("Our signature slow-roasted pot roast, caramelized onions, melted American cheese and real provolone cheese on grilled sourdough bread served with homestyle beef gravy for dipping"). It arrived a little while later and was as incredible and delicious as ever. I just love everything about this sandwich, from the plentiful, ultra tender beef to the ooey gooey cheese to the perfectly grilled exterior. And the whole thing is enhanced by the excellent gravy that's included. The fries are great, too. It's an enormous sandwich, so I didn't think I'd order anything else, but I couldn't resist the call of the Cup of Sausage Gravy & Biscuits ("A cup of Bob Evans sausage gravy served with freshly-baked biscuits"). I regret nothing because it was exquisite. It's so heavy but just so, so good. Thank god there isn't a Bob Evans near me because I'd be dead now from ordering that dish way too often. The ambiance was as homey and inviting as I remembered, and the service was super friendly. I love Bob Evans.

After visiting the falls over on the Canadian Border, as a visitor from the U.S., I had to find…read moresomewhere to get my poutine fix. Discovering Niko's Place was the foodie equivalent of witnessing the majestic Niagara Falls. And Niko's more than delivered on both food and service. Located on a street with a small dirt parking lot in a small building, you would have no idea the food treasures you are about to unpack. With just a couple of larger picnic benches and one table with a few seats inside, it's small venue a bit subject to the weather. But even with the heat on this particular day, Niko and his wife were so friendly and kind. From being patient because we didn't have Canadian dollars ready (This place is cash only! But there is an ATM nearby), to friendly chatter and smiles, you can tell they love what they do. As for the food, we went a little crazy and ordered fish and chips, poutine, and even a burger. All worth it. The Poutine (get the mix, which has curds and shredded cheese) was one of the best I've ever had. The bottom started with beautifully plump fries that were lightly crispy on the outside and full of potato goodness on the inside. On the next layer, they had plenty of their mild and full-of-umami cheese curds which was melted just right with some texture from the curds combined with tons of ooey-gooey goodness. And this was all topped off with a generous ladle of a beefy, savory gravy packed with flavor, all without being too salty. Can you tell I love poutine? But wait, there's more! The Fish and chips, which used the same perfect fries for the chips, was an unexpected home run. The Fish was so flaky and tender with just the right bit of crispy breading. And the homemade tartar sauce was creamy, a little sweet and really pulled the whole dish together. And finally, the burger was undeniably delicious and could easily have been a favorite if not for the insane line up. Needless to say, my cravings were satisfied. My stomach is still singing praises days after the visit. The only downside is that I don't know if I can have poutine or even fish and chips elsewhere for a while for the risk that it won't compare to the experience at Niko's. So yes, locals and tourists alike - run there now if you have never been so you can count down the days till your next visit, like me.

The whole place was decorated for Christmas with table decor and a tree. The food we ordered took a little while to prepare although there were only patrons at one other table, there was a steady take out business going on. My dining partner and I both ordered a rib dinner with hot sides: mac n cheese, greens, yams, hush puppies. The ribs had a sweet BBQ sauce, no heat to the taste and they were just warm, the greens were not super well seasoned and they also were not served hot. I had to add salt and hot sauce and asked if they could be heated up. The owner obliged and brought them back piping hot. The mac n cheese was very cheesy, however it lacked the depth of adding several types of, or at least a sharp cheese to it. The yams had a sweet seasoning with hints of ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg... We also ordered the fried chicken skins which came out freshly coated in a crunchy batter and fried crisp, they were served with hot sauce and Bleu cheese dressing. Very crunchalicious! The banana pudding was also very good... it was amped up with several types of cookie chunks, a cookie crust and cheesecake banana pudding...
