The bread (rye) was fresh..... the lettuce (leaf) was crisp.... the tomatoes ripe. The turkey was high quality real turkey breast with just the right amount of a delightful cranberry mayo. Chiavetta's has a take out place near Lockport...chicken and ribs with assorted sides like mac n cheese, baked beans, and a really good potato salad. Pretty unassuming place (they also do catering and will do the BBQ fundraisers for you) right off Transit Road (Route 78). There isn't really much of a reason to go to Lockport unless you are heading up to Lake Ontario, but it's not far from Buffalo/Williamsville/Amherst. Good stuff!

Operating out of the Elk Lodge, the space has the familiar, welcoming vibe of a cozy corner bar with a great dining space--something anyone from the Buffalo area will immediately appreciate. They offer a solid standard menu alongside weekly dinner specials, keeping things fresh and exciting. We started our meal with a couple of appetizers. My wife ordered the soup flight, selecting the Steak in the Grass, Creamy Chicken & Broccoli, and the Butternut Squash Bisque. She enjoyed all of them, but the squash bisque was her absolute favorite. I decided to try their wings, and honestly, they hold up to the absolute best I've had in the area--perfectly crispy with a delicious sauce.
