The epitome of "hole in the wall". Low prices alright, but you get what you pay for. The place is run by a very low person, "Niko" apparently. The place stinks, the workers are unsanitary, and generally reeks of being a dive. The food is all deep fried, so it's hard to screw up, but I still found flecks of black stuff on my food. The owner/operator was uncouth, swearing at his employees right in front of customers, and was extremely rude to every customer I saw inside, including myself. No idea how this place stays operational. I'm guessing because it's dirt cheap, and in a bad area of town. For real, skip this place, and eat at Country Fresh Donuts across the road. read more

The Potato Leek soup was quite tasty, as was the salad with a raspberry(?) vinaigrette. The prime rib, despite the big fat band and gristle going through it, tasted better than I anticipated. It wasn't a great cut of beef but it wasn't bad, cooked medium-rare, how I like it. The cheesecake was okay, not too sweet. The other choices, the salmon or mushroom ravioli, looked pretty good. I didn't hear anybody complaining. Overall, it was a decent meal and our server was very good. Our waiter was excellent, friendly, attentive, and one of the highlights of our experience. If you're seated along the edge of the outdoor terrace, the view of the falls is beautiful. Unfortunately, our party of six was too large to be seated at one of those tables, so our view was more limited. My husband ordered a cocktail and questioned whether there was much alcohol in it because it tasted very weak. The waiter explained that Canadian standard pours are smaller than those in the U.S. He ordered an extra shot, which improved the drink. Overall, the food was average. The Caesar salad with shrimp was delicious and probably the best item we ordered. However, the kids' chicken fingers lacked flavor, and the honey mustard tasted like plain mustard mixed with honey, which my son didn't enjoy. I ordered the burger, which is only cooked to one temperature. I found it dry, and the bacon was undercooked.
