As we walked to our table, we noticed the selections of another customer. Our waitress, Laura, filled us in on the other patrons' selections. We started with the 1/2 order Nachos. The large tray is filled with chips covered in lettuce, black beans, melted cheese, chopped onions and tomatoes. There were small containers of sour cream, jalapeños, and salsa for dipping. Unfortunately after we finished our nachos we found out that even as a happy hour special($10.00), we could have added spicy beef or chicken, making the nacho platter a more complete meal. Our second happy hour appetizer was the crunchy chicken bites. We picked the Spicy Thai sauce. The bites were very crunchy and had a nice sweet heat. There is a promotion going on. If one writes a positive Google review and shows it to the waitress, you can get another appetizer. It's a spinach dip with pita chips. We got it to go. This place is awesome. And Bryson is even more awesome. Today is a "deep clean day" so this place is closing at 9pm instead of the usual 11pm. Coming from New Jersey, I felt super safe eating here knowing that they actually deep clean their hoods and overall kitchen. The 2 patty burger and fries on the side was delicious.... super tastey and didn't hurt my tummy. I am definitely coming back when in town. The food was very good! Sat outside... very nice area for outdoor seating. Ordered the salmon - was prepared nicely, and had a nice sauce on the side. It came with very plain white rice as well as very plain broccoli - they could have jazzed that up a bit with a little seasoning, but otherwise a good dish. Also ordered a side of poutine (couldn't resist!) and it was quite good! My dad ordered a burger along with poutine, and his burger was ginormous!!! He said it was very good as well. My husband, two kids, and I arrived a little later in the evening and were seated on the patio. It was a beautiful night to dine outside. I had been wanting to try poutine (American here!) so I ordered that as a side with my Messy Fish Sandwich. The poutine was good, but the fish sandwich was the star of the show. It was honestly the best fish sandwich I've ever had. The idea to use crushed salt & vinegar chips as the breading is genius. I don't even remember what the rest of my family had (obviously the fish sandwich has taken over my brain) but I do know they enjoyed it. Guys do yourself a favour forget about this place for date night. Get yourself a prime cut for like 10, 15 bucks, slap it on the pan for five minutes on each side with some salt and pep. Typical Kelsey's. Friendly Staff. This location is everything you'd expect from a big box restaurant. Decent food, sufficient variety of dishes, and personable servers and bartenders. Pretty standard pub food with a mixture of bizarre mixtures of Mexican...burgers and 70's theme..stuff.. Service is pretty bad as I had to wait in an empty bar for the bartender / server to pour me another drink while I waited for my food, the food usually arrives in 10 minutes but for some reason it took about 20. I don't know how chicken wings and fries can take so long to cook and with a half empty house non the less, bottom line is this place is not your ideal place for a "good night out" but rather a last resort to everything else being closed. The bowling alley down the street makes food better then this Kelsey's location, I recommend coming here for drinks before heading out to a hockey game or something. Amanda and I were out with her mother doing some baby shopping and so we decided that lunch would be a good idea. We were at Toys R Us so we wanted to go somewhere nearby and Amanda recommended Kelsey's. We have been to this Kelsey's several times before and it has always been great. This time was no exception. We came in, were seated quickly and had drinks before we knew it. The service was top notch throughout the entire meal, we never had and empty drink or needed to ask for anything. As for our food it was great as well. I had the Peppercorn Burger with fries, everything was delicious from the pretzel bun to burger itself which was perfectly cooked and really juicy. Amanda had the Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger and loved it as well, although she couldn't finish it (She took half home). Generally I am a fan of Kelsey's and this one is no exception. On a hot summer August afternoon in 1998 I had a spicy chicken sandwich. Good tasting, however, it caused go to dart into an alley because I knew something was wrong. One sneeze left me covered in feces from the waist down. Scared and covered in filth I threw my cargo shorts in a dumpster. Leaving $40 in my pockets my father was left to fish the shorts from the trash. I would like my $40 returned if possible. Kelseys reminded me of the American Applebees or Chili's. The pasta was semi bland but with a little "doctoring" of your own this meal can be very good. The service was decent and I don't have any qualms except wishing I ordered a different meal that required a little more "love" put into it. My husband and I had lunch here this afternoon. He ordered a cheeseburger (he loved it!), and I ordered the Sonoma Salad. A few bites in, I noticed a large piece of plastic in my salad, probably from a bag of salad mix. We alerted the server, who immediately apologized, and brought my salad back to the kitchen. The owner was in as well, and he also came by to apologize. I said I totally understand, things happen!(I also work in a restaurant, and know first hand that mistakes do happen), so I wasn't upset by it! He said they were making a fresh salad for me, and I would have been happy with just that! He brought out my fresh salad(which was delicious), a coupon for a free dessert, and told me they wouldn't charge me for my lunch! He also came by a while later to make sure everything was good, on top of our server also checking in on us. I really appreciated how caring both the owner and our server were, and I feel they went above and beyond to make it right. It's Chili's - but more understaffed. When I was there wait times were very long to get an order taken, long but acceptable on food delivery and long to the point of ridiculous and exasperating on checking out. The bartender has sixteen other jobs to do away from her bar - so .while she is working hard to earn her paycheck - things go into stasis in the dining room. So out with the kids after a game and one wants wings another a burger and I wanted something I could get a Caesar salad in a clean environment without spending a bundle. Service and seating environment were fine, it was busy on a Friday nite. However there food bottom line is terrible. Clearly pre-prepared and assembled by morons with no skills. Salad , was a clean looking Caesar but hey forgot to add dressing. OUr $6.99 bowls of French onion soup were intially served cold, I mean cold like 15 seconds under a microwave with non melted cheese. The second time they were clearly now toasted cheese on top but we found the onions were like raw almost and broth still luck warm. Now waitress did have manager come over immediately and they did get out new soups with apologies quickly but the second round was no better. Add to this that 3 out of 5 of our entree meals were sub par in quality and taste to what you can get at a norm road house restaurant. There wings suck, are goupy which for Niagara is unacceptable. There deluxe sandwiches are dry and oily in the wrong combination in that the meat tastes dry but there is oils added with cheese and fixings that make it oily tasting and feeling. One sandwich had an Au Jus which was brown tasteless warm water at best. You get what you pay for however i can alot more for a dinner for 5 at $80 without alcohol for a roadhouse burger and wings no steak etc meal. Oh by the way to tempt fate, we ordered a chocolate mouse for $2.99. I have chewed and swallowed many medicines that tasted less like chemicals then that horror. Bottom line Kelsey's has made fast overfilled seat service a snap with pre prepared food getting you in and out in record time. Problem is they don't realize there food SUCKS in the quality and taste department and there moronic chefs being paid minimum wages cant read the directions and clearly haven't been trained! Value for money is poor. Lots of other places more deserving of your money in this competitive category. read more

This is my favourite 2 star restaurant. I'll give it 4 stars. Which is more than many 4 star restaurants get. I always sit in the bar area as the staff at the bar are the coolest and very friendly. The food is great. I can't say it enough. This location has better food and a better menu than some of the Toronto locations. The music being played is always horrible. Always, unless the stereo isn't working, which is often, and I hope for it to be off. I wish they would just play the audio for whatever game is on. The place bring every type of person in Niagara so be prepared to be annoyed. And the bathrooms are always cold. If it wasn't for the food and staff at the bar id never go. I can't wait to eat good food again during the super bowl with audio cutting in and out! read more

I had to go to St. Catharine's to exchange my out-of-province license for an Ontario license. Fortunately, a couple of old friends offered to drive me up there, hung around while I did battle with the bureaucracy, and then took me out to lunch to recover afterwards. I was looking longingly at the Perkins across the street, but hey, they were paying the piper, so they got to call the tune. Our server was good. She had a sense of humour (or at least enough sense to laugh at our silliness), and was helpful in making our choices. She also accepted it with good grace when I told her that I'm diabetic, and thus would not be buying any of their overpriced drinks, and would she please bring me a glass of water. (It was gratifyingly large, too.) I can't complain about the food. I had the clubhouse wrap with a side Sonoma salad. The wrap was good, if not outstanding. The salad was quite inspired. I sure didn't expect such an original recipe from a chain. I'd happily eat here on someone else's nickel any time. But I'm taking a point off for the prices. Maybe I've been spoiled by eating at the Eighties for so long, but with prices like these guys charge, I would expect to be licking the plate and sucking on the napkin for every last molecule of ambrosia. Striving for the bottom has succeeded. My Seafood Pasta had a whole 3 medium sized shrimp and a couple flakes of salmon for $19! Done in an unremarkable Alfredo sauce, only the side of grated Parmesan provided flavour. My dinner guest had the Chicken Parmagiana on fettucini. The breading was hard and crunchy, but at least moreso than the chicken. There are so many other places that will at least give you decent value. read more

Just went here a little while ago with my Mom, and honestly I wasn't overly impressed. The food itself was quite good, however I had recently went to the Kelsey's by the Pen Centre, and this location pales in comparison. My Mom and I ordered one of the Mozzarella Breads each, and we shared the Asian Sesame Chicken Salad. Overall they were very delicious, but the portions were considerably smaller compared to the Pen Centre location - especially the Mozzarella Bread. Also, our waitress seemed extremely stretched. There was another waitress working, however it seemed ours was waiting tables both inside at our section and on the entire patio. Obviously the service suffered, but she honestly seemed so frazzled, but she still had a smile on her face. Kudos Jodi! In a nutshell: hire more staff, and don't be so cheap with the portions. Well Charleen and Shaun are spot on. But it is Kelseys so don't expect fine dining. We stayed at the Holiday Inn across the street. Along unfortunately with the entire soccer and lacrosse leagues from Whitby. And they enede up at the restaurant the same time as us. An older gent with our small group actually took off his hearing aid it was so loud. The fact that neither the management or staff didn't do anything about the noise leadse to believe they are used to it so stay away if you're looking for a romantic dinner. The food was ok but not wow. My son had a stacked pastrami sandwich with melted mozzarella. He loved it. read more

One time it took us 30 minutes to get seated (no big deal it was a busy night) just to be ignored for another 20 once we sat down. Needless to say we left. It's a shame you can't assign a negative number of stars. The service was incredibly slow and the prices are way too high for the quality of the food. We made the mistake of ordering appetizers and were told they'd be out quickly. The only things that came out quickly were the plates. Ditto for the main course. Our waitress' transparently faux cheeriness at the outset vanished in rapid stages every time we had to remind her to bring us requested refills, missing cutlery, and....what was it again?
