We were initially going with a different planner - recommendation from another friend, but had a bad experience where the planner was unresponsive - no response for 7 days, and gave no notice that they would be on vacation and unable to respond in that time. Luckily, we had that experience before we signed the contract. We were a little bit gun-shy, but reached out to Kellyne on the recommendation of a friend who is a professional wedding photographer and who had worked with Kellyne in a past wedding. Kellyne is super responsive! We went with full planning, and she was with us for all venue visits, talked to us every month with a pre-scheduled monthly meeting, sent us useful checklists, reminders at the exact right cadence. We knew what we had to do at each moment leading up to the wedding, and our stress was minimized especially while we were both working very stressful and hectic jobs. Kellyne's design sense is so good! We asked for a tropical-themed wedding. She sent us a Pinterest board, and really listened to what we had to say: we ended up with more peachy colors, leafy accents, and lots of fruit, and the result was just amazing at the wedding! I loved watching the venue slowly get decorated and built up. From cushions that Kellyne brought to the venue that fit the theme to different decor and accent pieces, and with all the work she did coordinating with our vendors, everything looked incredible. Kellyne also works with an amazing set of vendors! We went with her recommendations for basically every vendor. I realized during the wedding that the vendors are used to working with Kellyne - it felt like everything had already been perfectly planned and the day just executed seamlessly. Lots of folks asked us how we felt the week coming up to the wedding and the day of, but we were left to just feel excitement, all the happy, joyful emotions, and we were able to just enjoy the day stress-free, because we knew Kellyne was handling everything! Hire Kellyne! You won't regret it!

The events moved smoothly throughout the evening, and she and her team were very attentive to our needs throughout the day. Our small and detail-oriented requests were all noted, remembered, and seamlessly executed! A guest had the misfortune of dropping their phone into an outdoor fountain, and Laura's team was instrumental in finding a happy solution without disrupting the flow of the day - we didn't even find out about the whole conundrum until hours later. Laura's Day Dreamer package is a great option if you are looking to have all the details fully handled on the day-of, plus some additional guidance as you take the lead with the planning process during your planning year, rather than hiring a full planner. We felt the most valuable part of the service was her full handling of detailed vendor communication in the two weeks leading up to the wedding - a priceless benefit in that home stretch!

It was a nice, smooth transition as well starting with monthly phone check-ins 6 months before our wedding day leading to fully taking over about a month ahead while still keeping me in the loop with vendor communications, etc. This time up front allowed me to feel comfortable letting go because I knew we were in such good hands (she is very organized and detail oriented) and I was able to just completely relax and enjoy our whole wedding weekend. I cannot recommend working with Mandy highly enough. She is thorough, flexible, organized,…read moredetail-oriented, responsive, and straight forward. She's also fun to work with and she was so genuinely excited about our wedding. Simply wonderful. We hired her right as we started to plan our wedding and spent around 16 months working on it, with a few month-long breaks in the middle when we got really busy with our jobs/travel/other things. Several things stand out to me about her work for us: * My husband and I were long distance at the time, so it made everything planning just a little harder. Mandy handled this with ease. * We wanted to work a little bit of both my cultural and family background (Chinese) and my husband's (Indian and Greek) into the wedding, and Mandy helped us to find creative ways to do so and find vendors who could fulfill these ideas and creative ways. We were especially pleased with our food vendor who Mandy recommended. * I like that she will tell you what she thinks, but also give you space to make decisions. She is open to many ideas and aesthetics, and really helps you to reach the decision that will make not just a beautiful wedding, but *your* beautiful wedding. * Mandy keeps your budget in mind - we came in $3k under our overall budget exactly, and she will let you know. Generally she gives options in a 'low', 'medium', and 'high' range so you get an actual range of choice. * Her network is extensive. It's quite nice because it means that anything you are considering she already has lots of experience working with the possible vendors, and you can piggy back off her good relations. * She plans work in stages and never lets it get overwhelming. This means you get to trust that she's handling the details (and there are details you would never think about on your own, like the catering flow through the venue) and just work on the homework she's assigned. * She is flexible and rolls with the new ideas/changes in plan, bringing enthusiasm and professionalism to these changes in plan. Weddings are a sensitive business. There's so many dreams, aspirations, family obligations, financial constraints tied together. Working with Mandy made handling that so, so much easier. I think about my wedding way too often - and always with joy. (p.c. curtis myers)

Mandy did an excellent job of connecting me to vendors that made my wedding gorgeous. It was aesthetically quite beautiful. But the Day Of coordination was bad. It was somehow my job (?) to keep bridal prep running on schedule. This took me out of the moment. But worse, when the bridal party got behind, she was an absolute tyrant. She was rude to me, my friends and my family. You never yell at a bride on her wedding day! Not to mention-- I didn't hire Day Of coordination to be burdened with duties and chores. On top of that, she didn't allow me time to touch up makeup between photos so I hate my weddding pics. Then, there was "no time" to bundle my dress so there are some stains I can't get out. She was unbelievably unprofessional and shockingly disrespectful. Overall, everyone had a nice time except the people who had to deal with her directly. Including me. I've been hoping to get over it but yes, it's still a year later and she made me feel horrible on my wedding day, like somehow I was unworthy of MY own day. I can not recommend this woman's services.

At first everything was going well, questions answered and made adjustments as needed. Due to being an outdoor wedding on top of a hill in Lake Matthews we booked 6 umbrellas for 10 tables. I was very excited since communication was well. While we were having our meal we noticed only 2 umbrellas were provided. Reached out to Leydy and she responded with a picture of the 4 umbrellas saying they were at a designated spot. However, that was NOT our venue house. She lied and tried to blame someone else. She personally went to the venue house to decorate but couldn't stay because the "delivery vendor" was taking "too long." She's the vendor, she should have stayed and made sure our BOOKED and PAID event was being taken care of. It is YOUR responsibility. A different vendor stepped in a gave us 2 that he had. It's sad instead of enjoying our wedding we were worried of where the umbrellas were. Our guests had to stand further out in a shade area instead of being with us. Many of our guests were sunburned and it's sad we prepared for this MONTHS in advanced counting on her to provide this and this was the outcome. If you choose to go through this vendor, I would make sure someone is on top of making sure everything is being provided before paying.
