While holding my son in my arms I spent at least 30 minutes digging through bins to find the perfect, in my opinion, selection of balloons. I love small businesses and the disorganized setting to me was twice the fun. The woman who wound up ringing us up, was on the phone calling someone an a**hole when we first arrived and didn't give us the time of day. A gentleman came from the back and was very friendly and interactive with my son, definitely a bonus. My mother came in and the woman came to the counter and they started chatting about how long they have been in buisness... We explained that we didn't need the Balloon order ready for another two weeks, but should of been a bit more skeptical when she wrote, "our order, " on a miscellaneous scrap of paper. The total came to a heafty $97.00 for the hand picked balloon bouquet with a blue number 1 mylar and a mylar rainbow and mylar sun. I picked out one of every color of the rainbow in latex balloons to accompany those three. I should of wrote down exactly what I picked out and prepaid for. The day of my sons party I go to pick up the balloons and what she handed me was absolutely not what I paid for! It was a total of 10 blue and yellow balloons, the 10th being a half inflated blue 1 mylar. I was in such a rush and didn't have anything stating what I had already paid for. I did comment that this is not what I remember paying for abd the woman responded, "Its an order for a boys birthday right?" I attempted to try and remind her that i had come in about 2weeks ago with my mother and my son and that I had paid for my handpicked selection for my boys birthday bouquet. I said what she handed me was not at all resembling what I had picked and payed for. I was so thrown off at her disregard that I genuinely believed she must be struggling with what I witnessed my grandmother go through in her 80's and didn't have the heart to argue or attempt to correct the mistake any further. After reading the reviews of similar incidents, I at least see its sadly not just my situation. I think its wonderful they have been around as long as they have and I hate that the internet is taking away actual retail establishments. However, this experience made me very grateful that i chose to build a balloon arch and invest in an electric pump so I could have 365 balloons fall from the ceiling on my sons bday the exact way i payed for and envisioned! It only took me a couple hours a night for a few nights, all of those balloons were exactly what I paid and for an 1/8 th of the cost of my ballon bouquet gone wrong. Yes, they have some fun items and its close by but I will never pre-order anything again. P.S. the balloons deflated within a day of picking them up. Its been over a week and my hand made balloon arch is wilted but still on display.

I was informed via email that I could pick up on Thursday or Friday between 9am to 2pm, so I drove about 25 minutes to Novato today (Thursday) and arrived around 9:30am. Upon arrival, I noticed the door states "by appointment only". I'm a little caught off guard because this was never stated to me, but I thought maybe it didn't pertain to me since the email communication I had received the week prior stated that I could pick up today. I called the number on the door, and Kim stated that my order was not ready and that she was not in the office today either. I would have to come back again tomorrow to pick up the items, and that they would be ready anytime between 9am-2pm. Kim seemed irritated on the phone, but I'm the customer who was told I could pick up today. She did say she could deliver tomorrow, but I'm not trying to spend $150.
