The balloon lady has some week my events, big or small! There hasn't been an event or holiday they haven't outdid themselves! Erin is the one to answer the phone, she's professional, friendly and efficient. She'll draft my design once I give her my event budget. Having her know the budget is key, bc she'll tell me what I can and can't do for my price range so it really gives me the best opportunity to get what I really want! Every single staff is super friendly, and punctual! When throwing an event, being on time is the most important! I'll forever book the balloon lady for all of my events. read more

Does anyone have a # other than the listed # on Yelp? She's suppose to deliver for my party today, but I can't get a hold of Erin since her phone is disconnected. I'm so frustrated!!!! Update! I Actual I never got a call back from her. Some delivery guy called me an hour before my party that my balloons were ready and still no other contact. LOL. But I will admit the arch she made was beautiful and she even gave couple extra other balloons. I still wish I got that follow up call. I guess everyone deals with their customers different. Still not updated phone #. read more

Can't say enough good things... Erin is amazing! Called yesterday and ordered 100 balloons to be delivered today at 4 pm. She sent me samples of color options, asked what the arrangement should be and how many to a bunch and even asked if the balloons were going on a table or ground to make sure the length of ribbon was just right. Well it's 4:09 as I write this review and they arrived right on time. They are perfect. Exactly what I ordered. Thank you Erin!!! read more

I called Erin (I hope I spelled her name correctly, if not, please forgive me) on Tuesday or weds this week and asked if she was able to deliver balloons that spelled out "Happy Birthday Lily" last night, Saturday 8/19. She gave me suggestions as to what's common, and she told me they would set up which was exactly what I needed. It was a surprise, so this was perfect. Geez! Not only was my BFF lily surprised, I was, too! She did an amazing job! She went above and beyond my expectations, and I can't wait to hire The Balloon Lady again in the future! Thank you for the memorable experience! It was pricey, but it was definitely worth it! read more

I am so disappointed and annoyed! I ordered balloons for a party on Sunday (my dog's 13 birthday, an extraordinarily important event), I arrived to pick them up on Saturday and no one was there apart from a neighbor who let us see our balloons but wouldn't let us take them! The guy who took my order told me they were open until 5.30, I said I'd be there at 5.00, he said they'd be ready at 4.30, we arrived at 4.55... actually, when I looked at the website they close at 5.00, still we were there in time and if I had known a customer was showing up, I'd have waited because that's what good customer service is all about! Voicemail was full, I've had no apology and I have received no answer to my emails. They are closed on Sunday. I've no idea what happened, maybe something awful like illness or a death in the family (in which case I'll remove this review), but if they just failed to be around during their opening hours and gave me the headache of finding balloons on a Sunday then one star is more than they deserve! read more

Thank the Lord for Google Maps on my phone, or else I would have been wandering around searching for this place forever! Their new location is kind of obscure, but once you find them they have a HUGE variety of balloons and decorations to choose from. I shopped around a little bit before choosing who to use for decorating my boyfriend's bar's 3 year anniversary party and I found each place was expensive in some areas, and cheaper in others. For example, The Balloon Lady's delivery charge was cheaper than SF Party and had a lower balloon minimum, however they charged MUCH more for metallic balloons than SF Party. I ended up going with the Balloon Lady because the delivery charge was lower and the people helping me were extremely friendly and laid back. Also, to my surprise, they threw in a metallic balloon (priced at $25) for free after we had gone back and forth negotiating about the price. I thought that was a sweet and special touch. AND, they delivered my order on time. That is something to be appreciated. I will definitely be using them for my future balloon/decorational needs. Just make sure to MapQuest it first! read more

I ordered balloons here because party city wouldn't take my order over the phone. They stayed open late just so that I could pick then up. She also threw in a few extras in case some popped! Service and quality was great. I'm definitely ordering here for future events! read more

I'm not from the city, so when i was planning a baby shower in SF, i took a chance with the Balloon Lady! I am a pinterest-aholic and so when I asked the Balloon Lady if she could help recreate my perfect baby shower backdrop, she said 'no problem!' Not only did she provide the exact color scheme I wanted (pearl-like gold, pink and mint), she also recommended an additional color pearl ivory to help create some contrast. The balloon pricing is comparable to your local party store, plus the flat rate delivery charge ($25) was absolutely reasonable. there was no way I could fit 4 dozen balloons in my car!!! needless to say, delivery was on time, 3 helpers came and help me set up and it was perfection! you will receive so many compliments and a huge time saver for any party planner! read more

Let me start off with saying I am beyond impressed with the arrangement Erin created for my daughter's birthday. I thought to myself - WOW! I reached out to the Balloonlady via email which prompted a quick personal response. I asked for a themed arrangement for my daughters tenth birthday; not a party, I just wanted a celebratory bunch of balloons for delivery. I told Erin I'd leave the creativity up to her. Very impressed. Hoping for an on time delivery, the Balloonlady did not disappoint. Communication was prompt and very personalized. I was invoiced through email and the deal was done. I did not expect the arrangement to be as grand and magnificent as it was. Perfect for my little girl. I think she was embarrassed by all the attention of it. Erin and her team have a niche and talent. So delighted she does what she does. With her designs, think the Pixar movie 'Up'. The Balloonlady brings a lot of joy with her creativity and service to the City. Thank you Erin! read more

Tried and tried to get a quote for a corporate event. Sent several emails - no response. Called several times and voice mail was full. Finally spoke to someone - gave all of the specifics of the event - said I'd have a quote the next day. Nothing. Called to follow-up two days later, said that I'd get the quote later that day. Never received a quote. Finally gave up and went somewhere else. What happened to The Balloon Lady?!?! read more

Maybe she was just having an off week but I had an awful experience. I'm throwing a party for my 30th birthday and wanted some balloons for the room. I reached out asking for a recco and she est $175 with tax and delivery and sent me examples. I picked out the colors and examples I liked and asked if we could keep it around $150. She said no problem and would send me a final summary of the order. Then radio silence for a week. I still hadn't heard back from so I emailed her a day before the event and she emailed me an invoice $100+ more than the original invoice and included a giant ballon arch I didn't ask for. I said this was too high and she said it was because of the arch. I told her I never asked for a arch and she said it was her mistake but now I have no balloons for my party. read more

Best balloon experience of my life! Wonderful customer service--Erin talked through our design, showed me samples, blew up a butterfly for my daughter... she could not have been nicer or more knowledgeable. I ordered two bouquets and was excited to see them on party day. But OMG what arrived on party day was truly out of this world amazing... the bouquets belong in a parade! Huge, gorgeous, and fun! Thank you! We are customers for life!! read more

My experience with Erin was seamless and effortless. I had a photoshoot coming up and purchased a giant confetti balloon from Etsy. It had directions to have helium put in it from any party store so I went to Party City to do so. The helium, or what I thought was helium was put into my balloon but it didn't float!!! I was told by the girl working that there was too much confetti inside of my balloon. I was very upset and was ready to give the Etsy seller hell. I made a phone call to "The Balloon Lady" and Erin thankfully fixed my balloon with no problems. She also educated me that about helium and balloons like the one I purchased. My ballon was perfect and beautifully flowing thanks to Erin! read more

I LOVE the Balloon Lady. She made us an amazing bouquet of balloons for my son's first birthday party, tied with colorful ribbons and delivered to the party for next to nothing! Six months later I call and sheepishly ask if I could have a small bouquet to take to a birthday dinner. I assume she'll say there is a minimum amount I'll have to spend or she'll need several days notice. Instead, she tells me to swing by anytime and her staff will blow some up for me. I love this kind of service. read more

If I could give this place more stars I would. They are hands down the nicest, most accommodating service I've ever used. The balloon arrangement was perfect and the delivery guy went out of his way to deliver at a time that was convenient for me. After the balloons were delivered they started inexplicably popping. When I called, they sent the delivery guy back with another huge arrangement at no extra charge, and were extremely nice about it. The morning after our party, the balloons are still floating at the ceiling, while all the other balloons from other places lost their helium and are now on the floor. I highly recommend these guys for the quality of their work and their product as well as excellent customer service. read more

If you're looking for balloons for your event in San Francisco, California, I can't recommend anyone higher than The Balloon Lady. I had a crazy idea for a balloon installation at a hard to work with venue, under hard to work with conditions. I sent her a sketch and her team came up with a great price, figured out how to install it, and showed up at the ridiculous hour of 11pm to install it overnight. The balloons were a HUGE hit. Her 10 foot logo made of balloons in front of the venue was photographed and tweeted a zillion times. The installation inside commented on routinely, and the balloons stayed up throughout the 48 hours, no problem. Her team was easy to work with, hardworking, and most importantly, they got the job done. I'll use them again in a second. read more

We will definitely be using them again!! I work for Stanford University and we needed to have a large amount of balloons delivered for an event. I was extremely pleased with this service for several reasons. 1. I found them to be very responsive via email and phone 2. Delivery's on Stanford's campus can be very confusing and difficult but they got our balloons there right on time with zero issues! 3. Great color selection. 4. Decent prices 5. VERY friendly and helpful costumer service- Erin was her name I believe. THANK YOU BALLOON LADY! read more

I could not have had a better experience with The Balloon Lady in SF! In a desperate attempt to complete a child's costume just days before Halloween, I contacted the Balloon Lady via email with a special inquiry. They were very responsive and helpful. I came in before 8:00am on a weekday and the gracious staff adorned the headpiece with balloons masterfully -- free of charge! I will make sure to use them for all my child's future parties/events. I left feeling airy, elated & carefree -- couldn't hope for more when exiting a house of balloons! read more

Very pleased. I wanted 30 simple balloons, in shades of blue, with a ribbon. Since this is for an adult party I didn't want much baby blue. They gave us a perfect assortment of blues with just a few pale blues included for balance - it's really pretty. The delivery person was on time and when she came in she tied the balloons to the arm of a chair - perfect, I wanted some time to figure out where they were going. The person who took my order is not the owner so I can't comment on the Lady herself, but her helper was great, I told her what I wanted and she totally understood and gave it to me. read more

Erin is immaculate and will make your dreams come true. The beautiful array of all balloons was delivered terrifically to my home base and I cannot tell you enough how my heart jumped at the sight. It was such an increase in heart beat, to stay calm at the abundance of creativity and love each ballon stood for ...what a beautiful and organized and awesome loving set for my second year old (whose birthday is exactly today.). It was very easy to order and Erin knows her stuff!!! she knew exactly what Was needed for for this special occasion. Of course much better than a lullaby, not your typical average ballon set, but an extravagance of high end balloons....but what a beautiful sight it was (and still is) and will take your breath away..... read more

I was planning an awards ceremony to honor extraordinary Nurses and contacted the balloon lady company to supply decorations and it was a nightmare. I submitted an invoice and called to confirm delivery and set-up. The woman on the phone assured me that they would show up...she had to assure me because her communication was so bad I was already uneasy. The day of the ceremony (a Friday) I wanted to check in to make sure they would deliver but nobody answered the phone. I called 30 times (i checked my call history) from 9am to 1 pm and had to run to a flower shop and beg them to make arrangements so that my hospital's extraordinary Nurses had a nice ceremony. A company that can't serve the nursing community is lacking compassion. What a stressful ordeal. If you read the other reviews, this company didn't deliver on a wedding, a graduation, and a ceremony for Nurses. read more

I am so thoroughly disappointed by my experience! I recommend going elsewhere - totally unreliable. I had ordered a large quantity of balloons for my son's graduation. I waited at the reception hall where they were going to be delivered for over two hours with no call to say they were late or actually coming. Voicemail was full and no one answered the phone - this was during business hours. I emailed and faxed with no reply. When they did arrive over 2 hours late there was no apology, no explanation, and no receipt - I don't know what the total was and have no record. I've left emails and faxes since with no word back. I had to miss over half of the graduation ceremony and was moments away from running out to get balloons elsewhere. read more

I had a great experience with The Balloon Lady! I wanted some large 36" round balloons to use as props for engagement photos, but didn't really know where to get them in San Francisco! I was skeptical at first after reading the Yelp reviews, but my wedding planner recommended her and I trust my wedding planner wholeheartedly! Thus, I ordered three large 36" round balloons to be delivered to the Presidio. I communicated with Erin who made the entire process simple and stress free! I would say the only downside is that Erin doesn't respond to emails right away, but that's okay! The day of the engagement shoot, the balloons arrived on time, and exactly as I wanted them. I would recommend her, thanks so much Erin! read more

A dear friend recently suffered a mild stroke and was sent to the hospital. I sent a bouquet of balloons to the hospital. I didn't know that certain hospitals do not accept latex balloons. The lady I spoke with on the phone was so friendly that she called Kaiser on my behalf to inquire. It turns out that since my friend was not in the ICU or critical type area, both were accepted. Very good experience and I definitely recommend them. I'll be ordering again! read more

This lady has balloon bouquets that are enormous. I mean floor to ceiling enormous. There are several varieties and you can include cookies with your delivery. They are also very accommodating on delivery and will go out of their way to delivery your goods. One of the bouquets even flies around I believe. What better way to embarrass your honey at work, embarrass in a nice way not singing telegram style. Prices are a bit high, around a hundred dollars I think, but the gift is so unique and better than flowers. read more
