Beautiful venue in Dublin, CA. Carolina, the Event Coordinator, was great to work with. She was patient with all of our requests, changes, and additions. She helped us move tables around to create a larger dance area and was available to us throughout set up and even after our event started. Our guests enjoyed the food that was chosen (see pictures). The only issue our guests had was there was only one bartender for the event. There was a long line for drinks for most of the night.

One of my favorite special places i love to DJ at. Amazing staff and catering. Great food options. Amazing reception room with a large bar nearby. And beautiful views of the hillside. Great for any party small or big. Wedding ceremony view is spectacular. Carolina is an amazing coordinator and very easy to work with. Lots of parking. And a gem on the hillside.

Great course at a great value. I was in town and played this course with a couple friends. Fairways were in good condition and greens were rolling firm. I would play again and highly recommend. 4 stars only because I didn't not get a chance to try the food.

$38 for weekday twilight. Short and hilly course with many elevation changes. A few tight spots and narrow fairways may eat up stray shots. Many holes are lined along the backsides of the master planned community. Views of the valley and the 580 freeway. Nobody was attending the snack shack when I check 3 separate times. I wouldn't want to play here on a busy day as the terrain doesn't really allow for speedy play. Carts are pretty weak.

Hole 1. Enjoy it now, it's the flattest you'll encounter for the next 17 holes. Lol

Not an old course with history/character. Probably born within the development boom of this town within the last 15 years or so, where they're developing into the hills eastward. Also very modern in that a housing community is imbedded into the development. Don't think you can build a golf course in a populated area anymore, without having housing all around it. But since this lies right in the middle of the rolling dry hills of Dublin/Livermore, they designed this to be links style golf, which is very open and exposed, much like what you will see in golf's origin countries of the U.K. So it won't be shady nor tree lined. It is a different brand of golf, that will polarize many golfers, as some love it but some will also hate or not care for it. I don't love it, but I do find it fun and challenging to attempt on occasion. I will admit that I wouldn't want to play this regularly, as it just takes a lot more from you to play. But here are some finds. On a weekend afternoon, it cost us $48 to play. Cart I believe was mandatory. It is a shorter course (par 60) so much more par 3's here. And because it is shorter, it by no means it is an easier out. ++Wide/very fair fairway landings. I hate narrow landings that penalize even if you hit it, but may not stay on. Many of us are never gonna be pros, were just out for a good time. When a course penalizes you more than it rewards you, it kinda takes the fun out of a round. ++Very well kept. Good condition from tee box to greens. Pretty lush grass. ++Many elevated views as you are deep into the hills. Nice contours and flow on most of the holes. The Negs: --Outside of the tee box, not a flat lie for the whole round. Typical links style. --Greens crazy large. Like an 80 foot putt is super common here. Makes even a 3 putt challenging. I struggled in this department on my out. --Crazy windy and exposed. Again typical links style. I was exhausted after a round here. --Poor yardage markers throughout the course. No markers on the sprinklers, basically just your 200/150/100 yard colored poles. For a modern course with a more upscale feel, this kinda baffled me. So I would still want to try this again some time to get a better feel on some of the holes aka redeem myself. It is hard to get a feel from a one time out. But I'm also not itching to come back, that links style is just too much work for me, when I'm supposedly trying to relax and have fun. *shrugs shoulders*

2 Iron on 10. Short par 4

Absolutely love this course. A lot of people I know are reluctant to speak well about it because they see a par 63 and look towards Canyon or Las po-- when they still would shoot 20 over here. They don't know the hidden gem that DR is. I come out from Concord and my uncle comes from San jose and we play here every weekend because we love the condition and challenging parts of the course EVEN if the greens are humongous. We switch it up to the Blues every other round to alternate longer irons in play. The grass on the outside of the greens was a bit long the last two weekends, but made for a challenging second shot if we go left or right on the tee shot. My favorite greens in the east bay area. I wish there was a frequent flyer discount or a way to get our tee time for $45 on the weekends since we're here almost two times a week. The only critique-- Cart girls are a bit late to come around (but i assume maybe this is due to covid and staffing? If so, totally understandable) Nothing bad to say!

I had fun at this course. Kind of disappointed that they had 11 par 3's for the course, but any sunny day on a golf course is a good day.

But in my first 5-7 years on taking up the game (95'-02'ish), we played here often, as this is a great course to learn on for several reasons. 1) It is only 9 holes, so you don't have to commit to a long 5-hour round on a big course. And when one is a beginner, 18 holes can be grueling. 2) The course is wide open, lots of room to err, without much penalty areas. Now there are areas you have to watch out for, but still much more generous than most other courses. 3) Lots of other not-so-good golfers here. So even if you suck, you won't really be holding up snooty better golfers, who will often press your pace. So be prepared for a slower round here, can't be in hurry here. 4) Cheaper green fees. Currently in 2026 it was $20 to walk on a weekday morning. Not sure what it is on weekends. It doesn't get any cheaper to play, especially out here in the Bay Area. Now for better players, this is still not a bad place to practice and hone your short game. I took my regular Monday crew here, as 1 of them had never been, and the other golf mate hadn't been in a long time, just like me. And we had a great time. For a 9 holer, there are 3 short par 4s. The rest are par 3s and they are really not that easy. Some of them are longer like 170+ yards, and almost all the greens are bowled/raised so it looks like a turtles hump. So a little tougher on getting your ball to stick to your target. You'll be doing a lot of chipping and pitching, which is all great practice for your short game. This course is in the middle of horse racetrack, at the Alameda Co. Fairgrounds. Great way to make use of otherwise dead space. Now when the fair is going on during the summer, I'm sure this course will close down. But the rest of the year, it is open. There is also a driving range/practice facility. But haven't used those yet. Locals seem to use it. And since it is inside the racetrack, in order to get inside, you'll have to drive under a one way tunnel. Which used to be scary back in the day, as you had to honk to warn the other direction that you were going through. Now there is a traffic light that directs traffic, which eliminates guessing and having to back up inside a tunnel. A nice course that has stood the test of time and is still serving a very specific purpose...to teach and prep newer golfers by providing a relaxed and beginner friendly environment. To that I gotta give props.

Apparently every hole at this course has a birdie waiting to happen…read more Just put down the ball. Pick a club. Hit the shot precisely. Put club back in your bag. Have your playing partners get excited thinking you aced it. Pose for photo. Post on Yelp and fb. Send pick to your family

But don't think they are affliliated as the signages seems pretty separate. Balls dispensed through a machine that can take cards. Slightly better value than in my area, where I can get about 10 extra balls for the same price of $11 for a medium bucket. My area gives me 50 balls, here I got 60. They have both grass and mats here, which caught me by surprise as I haven't seen a grass range in over 10 years. They are just much more maintenance for a place to have, and my area for sure no longer have them. So I applaud them for having them here. But on an early weekend morning, that grass area was completely full, with people in line even for the stalls. There were only 10-12 stalls, so I'm pretty sure that the demand exceeds the space. The matted area was another 30-40 yards away. You're hitting into an open field facing the freeway. There are many palm trees out there so I did find targets to go for. Except there's no yardage postings, so I was going by feel. The whole point in going to a driving range is so you can work on your yardages, so I dock and reward ranges that may or may not give you this benefit. There's a small chipping area that also gets occupied readily. I may have to check this place out on a weekday mid-day sometime. The putting green was just okay, decent to work out some basics, but nothing like a course you'd play on. I had a decent practice session here, except in the summer morning I went, the matted area was very wet, probably they hose it down to clean it, which is fine. But my matt was pretty saturated so not sure on how it affected my contacts. Also when I left and got home, and because I was wearing shorts, I had several insect bites around my ankles and calf areas, on both legs. I'm assuming mosquitos because everything was so moist and wet, but left me itching and scratching for several days to follow. I hardly ever get bites even during camping, so to get them from a driving range, makes me weary on returning.

Castro Valley hosts this mini golf spot that's an affiliate of the Golfland family and features its two 18-hole ranges perfect for beginners and experts alike. After a few rounds on the green, consider venturing into their arcades to play some good old fashioned video games (Time Crisis and other dual player shooters, Mario Kart and other racing games, and fighting games) and skill games (like skee ball, table air hockey, and claw machines). Be wary, however, for those who have game cards from other Golflands, they're location specific so they won't work here unless you have one from this spot. Starting from the giant parking lot which is just off of a busy street, you'll make your way through the gates and stroll up the long walkway to the front desk where you'll register to get your clubs and balls (you'll get your choice from among a few colors). From there, you'll have your pick of the two courses, one for novices and one for the more adventurous. Make your way through the obstacles and mark your scorecard to determine the winner of bragging rights! We came for a birthday party and logistically, they have the main room amongst the beginner course which is well lit from all the open windows but I believe they have another space near the arcade for those looking for a more enclosed, private gathering. Once the guests arrived, they hosted an orientation and got the members all equipped and ready to go. The youngsters had a lot of fun and can't wait to return! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. You'll interact with them more at the arcades especially if you'll be redeeming prizes with your hard-earned digital tickets. The ticket values on the top tier prizes were pretty large but for frequent visitors or lucky winners, you can get some pretty neat stuff here. The mini prizes definitely reminded me of my times at the arcades when I was a kid, very nostalgic! Overall, Golden Tee Golfland is a well-maintained, family friendly environment conducive to an awesome time outdoors as well as an exhilarating experience soaking up the old school arcade vibe. We accumulated a ton of steps during our visit here and the kids could not stop hitting the greens to get their fluorescently colored balls into the holes. The obstacles are fun - there are water effects and moving doors and bridges. While most of them functioned as expected, there were a few hiccups with some like balls getting stuck or certain doors just not functioning as expected. For wetter seasons, the holes for the balls do end up pooling which makes picking the balls out a bit of an unpleasant endeavor. For being exposed to the outdoors, the place was in pretty good shape, however. It's a bummer that the Golflands don't have a unified system for the game cards as it just incentivizes families to just pick one and stick with it instead of venturing out and exploring the other amazing locations like this one. If you're a local, this is a great place to take a date or the family - it'll tee you up for a good time!

This was my second set of lessons with Marcus. Unfortunately, after only one lesson of the ten I just purchased, I got a call from the Regional Manager telling me Marcus no longer worked for the company. I could only guess he got fired because I just had a lesson with Marcus that very morning and he never said anything. I also had other lessons booked with him in the future. I asked the Regional Manager about a refund and he said that I could get a refund since it was within the 30 day window of purchasing the 10 lesson package. When I was told what my refund would be, in was far less than I expected, since I only took 1 lesson. They said the way they worked their refunds was based on time, not number of lessons. Which is absurd to me. So, if after 29 days, I had not taken any lessons, I would not be refunded all of my initial payment. On the flipside, if I had taken 9 lessons in those 29 days, I would have been refunded the same amount as if I had taken zero lessons. I brought this scenario up to both the manager at the Pleasanton store (who was not friendly or helpful at all) and the Regional Manager (who was more friendly and more helpful) and they both agreed this would be the case. They also told me that there would be no way someone could take that many lessons in that short of time because of the way their scheduling works. I also explained that my first lesson was cancelled by Marcus and therefore I was shorted one lesson in that 29 day period. So, I should be compensated for that. They did not agree and went back the fact that there refund policy is based on time, and not lessons. This is a horrible policy that only benefits the company. So, while the lessons may be beneficial, beware of the company policies. There are tons of great golf instructors out there that will treat you fairly and won't mislead you. Also, please note that the lessons are based on 30 minute lessons, not 60 minutes. It's hard to get anything accomplished in 3o minutes so you end up using two lesson credits if you want an hour lesson. So my 10 30-minute lessons was really 5 60-minute lessons. This makes the cost of the package not worth it, in my opinion.
