It said to replace my printer cartridge, because it was leaking. After I did this, my printer didn't work. Office Max couldn't help me at all. I went to Best Buy - and they do not fix printers, but told me that mine was toast and tried to sell me a new printer. My printer is a color laser printer that is barely 2 years old. I looked online and found BA Printer Service, and the owner, Bob, knew right away what the problem was. Hp does automatic updates and when I changed my blue ink, it updated the machine and kicked out my 3rd party ink cartridges that I had in there. All I needed were new hp brand printer cartridges and I'd be ready to go! Best Buy's Geek Squad WERE USELESS! But, Bob knew immediately! I bought new hp brand printer cartridges, and my machine is like new! Also, Bob is the nicest guy you could ever meet. I wish him continued success in his business and glad he's there for our community. He did!'t even charge me for his brilliant diagnostics! If I were him, I'd change the name of the business to Bob's Printer Service, it's catchier and says it all. Not sure what BA means, maybe his initials. "Bob's" is better.

In deed it took a few weeks- J explained every step of the way and indeed when it was finally done it cost what they had told me, not a penny more. Despite quite a bit of difficulty in getting my disk to respond to their software. Highly recommend. Seems they love a challenge at IRepair - and recoveries are often just that.

They also went over the repair agreement thoroughly, including the $75 diagnostic fee, which goes toward the cost of any repair. At first, I got a call saying the motherboard was completely damaged and likely beyond repair, which was disappointing. Then the next day, they called back and said they had spent more time looking into it and were actually able to fix it. The repair ended up costing an additional $150, but it was absolutely worth it. My kids' PS5 had stopped accepting discs, and now it's working again. They also advised against relying on random YouTube repair tutorials (oops), since DIY fixes can sometimes make the problem much worse (especially if you're clueless like me). Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely come back here again, although hopefully I won't need to anytime soon!

I called ahead on the phone to see if they had time for me that day, we scheduled a time, and it was done that day in about an hour or so. He charged me exactly what he paid for the parts, even showing me his order online, then charging $100/hour which is very reasonable, especially when he cleans out the computer and keeps the cords tidy with zip ties for free.
