Awesome owners! And they go beyond necessary to help fix your computer problems! Been going to them for probably over 15 years. Fortunately we don't need them often. But always there and professional and friendly!! read more

Tony provided great customer service, showed great knowledge of computers, and technology in general. I would absolutely come here with any technological problems in the future. It was quick and easy, exactly as he described over the phone. He was pleasant to talk to and the services were very fairly priced, even blowing out my desktop from dust for free. I have a custom built desktop that needed a new power supply, which I assumed beforehand, and Tony quickly confirmed. Tony was also able to install a new SSD that I had brought in. I called ahead on the phone to see if they had time for me that day, we scheduled a time, and it was done that day in about an hour or so. He charged me exactly what he paid for the parts, even showing me his order online, then charging $100/hour which is very reasonable, especially when he cleans out the computer and keeps the cords tidy with zip ties for free. read more

These guys are miracle workers! I spilled liquid on laptop. They literally fixed it same day I brought it in when I for sure thought I'd be ordering a new laptop tonight. They also cleaned my fans which were dusty for nothing. Amazing guys read more

I brought my PC in and they fixed my issue over night, and had my pc running faster than ever for a rather low price. Great business and great people definitely the place to go for repairs read more

I unfortunately spilled fresh hot coffee on my laptop one day (UGH!) And later then night I noticed the AC Jack no longer detected my adapter, therefore the computer could not charge. I brought my computer to American Micro to see if he could fix it. He was brutally honest with me, essentially telling me I would have to disassemble the computer, wash the parts with alcohol, and pray for the best. He essentially told me it would not be worth spending the $150 fee to do such a thing. He offered to teach me how to remove the parts on my won - he spent about 20 minutes helping me disassemble the computer to assist me. Long story short, I ended up purchasing a new computer at Best Buy - I was already thinking of buying a new computer since my laptop was 4 years old. What matters is the owner of the shop is not looking to trick any of his customers. I really appreciated his honesty. If I end up having any computer issues, American Micro will be the first shop I call for assistance. read more

This is a family business. If they can't fix your computer they won't charge you. I would say it's much better than Best Buy's repair department read more

These guys are Masters. They know what to do with your PC and phone.... how to fix it, repair it or even a creative solution you hadn't even thought of yet. And, if that's not cool enough, they can remotely work on your PC by logging in from afar. These guys FIX the issue and they are good guys with fair pricing. I've searched years for computer craftsmen like this. #CustomerForLife read more

Really nice and helpful. I knew I had a virus or 2 on my computer. Came back clean and with extra virus software on it so I can pick the one I like! Also helped with a space issue. My computer is running a lot faster than before. They didn't try to sell me a bunch of junk or services I didn't need. I'll be back if I ever have another computer issue! I should also add that in the same building, they (or someone) cleans sporting equipment like hockey gear, yoga mats and baseball gloves read more

My laptop suddenly could not reboot - it kept cycling through Automatic repair, unsuccessfully. I was out of town, and needed that laptop to log into work. Tony helped me right away, installing a new hard drive and transferring my recovered files from the old hard drive. Decades of experience and a calm demeanor really helped me when I was a bit frantic! I would recommend them to anyone needing computer repair! read more

When my laptop refused to boot, I knew that I needed professional help to get it back up and running, but wasn't sure who I should turn to for reliable service. After reading several reviews here on Yelp, I decided that my best option was American Micro, and it definitely was! I contacted them Sunday evening over email, and by Monday afternoon they had already contacted me and told me to stop on by. They are conveniently located on Maple Dr. in Williamsville, right near my work, and I went over later that afternoon. Unfortunately, it was too late to save my hard drive (I only wished I had stopped by sooner instead of trying to fix it myself), but Tony and Eric went right to work on trying to recover my files. The next day, I realized that I didn't have much on there worth saving, and since a new hard drive was already in the cards for me, we decided the best course of action was to stop the data recovery and replace my hard drive with a new SSD. The very next day, today, I stopped by to pick up my laptop, now fully functioning with a new SSD, Windows 10, and antivirus software installed. The pricing for all of this was very reasonable, and the service was excellent. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, I cannot recommend enough that you take your business to Tony and Eric at American Micro. This is one local, family owned business, that does the job well, and does it at the right price. Thank you, American Micro! read more

I know my way around a computer very well, but I had a tricky situation with a machine I put together myself. (wouldn't POST.) I did all the usual troubleshooting, with no results, before I realized I needed help from someone that might have spare parts to swap out, tools to test my power supply, etc. I emailed American Micro on a friend-of-a-friend recommendation. Eric, one of the owners (i think?) got back to me within hours with incredibly thorough recommendations about things to try. I was impressed that they'd spend the time to help out a stranger who just sent an email. But, no luck, and I asked if I could bring the machine in for them to take a look at. In their shop the next day, Tony and Eric and I talked out the problem, and eventually got it resolved. There was a bent pin on my processor. I'd re-seated it at least twice, but never thought to flip it over and look at the pins. A day later, I'm typing this on what seems to be a fully-working computer. American Micro was tremendously helpful, collaborative, and they provided a quick solution to a problem that I wasn't sure had a good answer. You wouldn't believe how little I paid. If anyone I know needs professional computer help in the future, I know exactly who I'll recommend. read more

First initial experience was lovely. Nice people. *TO BE UPDATED * Update 1: It has been 3 weeks since they had my laptop. I have been keeping week by week notes. Will update when I get the laptop back and Hopefully it's by the date I requested about a month ago. Update2: got it back week 5, right before I was suppose to leave, I had to repeatedly call for updates rather than them calling me when they do things (order parts, replace parts or even run it and call saying it's done). (***EDIT: they called only When they were asking about an alternative motherboard) ***Although it's only two people doing the work, a better system is in desperate need. Update3: TBA when laptop is used: Parents loved the gift. They say it works fast and has no problems Update4: they messaged me asking about the problem, it's evident that they care about their service. read more

What's the last thing you want to be doing when out of town on business? Yes, that's right, trying to save your laptop with your entire life on it. On Friday afternoon, in the middle of a major deal. Out of town. With no business assets on the ground to help me out. If it has to happen, plan to have your meltdown in Wliliamsville NY where you can drop in on Eric Vaccaro at American Micro. Because he can save your business life. Laptop in hand I visited the store on late Friday afternoon where my hard drive was in the process of crashing. He helped me locate a backup drive - waited past closing for me to get it - then initiated the backup, ordered me a new hard drive, and had it FedExe'd - On Saturday morning, he called me to follow up, rebuilt my hard drive, and had it ready to go mid-day. If this was the Genius Bar, they'd just be getting me an appointment. Be your own Genius Bar and go see Eric. Outstanding help, great personal service. And extremely affordable. read more

I took my daughters boyfriends computer here. He had a major mess on his hands and very little money. Tony and Eric worked tirelessly to help him out. They were very fair with their price and gave him lots of free advice. I cannot recommend them highly enough. And will not even consider going anywhere else. This company is the epitome of what a small business should be. Friendly, fair and very easy to deal with. read more

American Micro - IT Services & Computer Repair Near Me - Getzville, New York

Eric, THANK YOU. You are a lifesaver. When my son dropped his iPhone 5 and smashed the screen, I thought we were out of luck. You took ownership of resolving the problem--not just fixing the phone but making sure I was always up to date on the status (12 year olds can be very demanding about their electronics!). The repair was done quickly, the price was more than fair, and I'd highly recommend American Micro to anyone who needs a computer fixed and appreciates good service. read more

I was having issues with my computer that I couldn't quite figure out, where my computer would randomly freeze and the audio would buzz. Everything I tried couldn't fix the issue after troubleshooting for a month and a half. The most frustrating part was that I couldn't find the cause of the issue to force it to happen. So I called these guys up and Eric was able to assist and give me advice on what I should do. After examining my machine he recommended that I replace the power supply, which seems to have done the trick. These guys are not only great for major repairs, but also for small questions and recommendations to fix minor, nagging issues as well, such as driver updates and support. I would highly recommend them, as their prices are very solid for the great service. read more

The hinge on my laptop was broken. The guy at the store was polite and honest, told me how much it would cost to fix, and told me how to try something simple myself to avoid having to pay to repair it. Exactly what you want from your repair guy. read more

My wife had issues with her computer, so like most people I did my research as to where to take it. I ended up deciding on American Micro, so glad I did! Tony was very helpful and extremely courteous. Things worked out so well that I ended up bringing my own PC in for a clean up. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend this company. read more

A few weeks ago, I was complaining to a friend of mine on how slowly my old laptop was running. He told me about American Micro. I brought it in and it was fixed within a couple of days at a very reasonable price. A few weeks later, my laptop's screen died and I decided it was time to buy a new laptop. I didn't want the hassle of going to get one at Best Buy though. I was able to buy a new laptop through American Micro's recommendation from Amazon and have it shipped directly there. I was extremely thankful that they were able to transfer everything from my hard drive on my old laptop to my brand new one within a day of receiving it from Amazon. Tony and Eric were great to work with both times I went in there. I would highly recommend them to anyone who's looking for IT professionals who are honest, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I will definitely be a loyal customer down the road. I was extremely grateful that my friend had made the recommendation for me to go to American Micro in the first place. read more

I brought my notebook in to have it looked at, as I have been having issues with it for quite some time. Tony took the time to listen to my concerns and got right to work assessing the problem. I assumed I would have to leave it with him to pick up another day, but he loaded up the drivers I needed right away while I waited, and I was able to take my notebook home the same day! I would highly recommend American Micro, and will definitely use their services again if the need arises. Many thanks! read more

Something had my computer suddenly running very slowly, or locking up entirely. I brought it in on a Saturday afternoon, after all of my usual fixes didn't work. Tony was extremely helpful, plugging it right in and running diagnostics. Much to his surprise and mine, it turned out to have a failing hard drive - hard to believe as the computer was only 15 months old. He not only replaced the drive and reinstalled the OS, but attempted to retrieve any data from the old drive, and recommended a different antivirus trial program for me to use. He didn't try to "up-sell" or recommend a lot of unnecessary services, was very personable and their prices are more than reasonable. I had my computer back & running by Tuesday. So happy I found American Micro for any future computer issues! read more

My old PC was moved to basement storage when I purchased a new iMac system to replace it. The PC has the Microsoft Flight Simulator software package but is old and has outlived it's warranty and extended warranty. I recently tried to turn it on after several months of inactivity, It was just too cold down in the basement. It seemed to turn on but the monitor showed the "no signal" message. I tried all the basics checking for loose cords and such. I stopped at the Big Box Store and was given a listing of costs of diagnosis and blanket coverage, kind of another extended warranty. For a system with very limited usage it seemed excessive and I walked away. My wife saw my disappointment when I arrived home and said "why not try the guys across the street?" Yes I live across the street from American Micro. I called and Tony said to bring it in. I expected to have to leave it for a few days and then get an estimate. But no, this business understands what Customer Service really means and has exceeded all my expectations. Tony explained their pricing up front and began testing the PC. It took more investigation than expected and both Tony and Eric dived into it. I could tell that not only do they know what they're doing but actually enjoy troubleshooting and solving problems. Bottom line, I have a working backup system that was repaired for less than just the diagnosis fee at the Big Box Store and it was fixed on the spot. It was a pleasure to watch Tony and Eric work the problem, this is obviously not just a job to them. They are true Craftsmen. A++++ read more

I've gone to American Micro for all of my computer repairs. Eric clearly knows what he's talking about. And I had a computer emergency once where Eric actually spent over an hour AFTER the store had already closed to help me out (I think he could sense my general state of panic). It just doesn't get better. I won't take my computer anywhere else. read more

Eric you saved me on this one! My laptop had fallen and of course the hard drive broke. Being a student, I basically live off my computer so I was devastated! I brought it into Eric and he said he would take a look for me. Sadly my hard drive was unreadable but that didn't stop him from trying. He ran multiple programs trying to get data off for multiple days and in the end ordered me a new hard drive. He installed it for me and set me up with some nice antivirus. His prices were great too! I thought I wasn't going to break bank on this one but including the price of the new hard drive it didn't even reach 200! I am extremely grateful for this guy! read more
