Just to follow up as to how great Orangetheory fitness is in South Reno. I've been a member now for…read moreseven years. I have definitely seen the improvement in my overall physical stamina, body mass composition, and just overall fitness. Every one of the instructors there are great and you can ask him any question when it comes to your training and what you can do to improve it. One of the best things I'd like about it. you're not competing with anybody else, you're only competing with yourself. It doesn't matter if the person next year is running all out at 10 miles an hour and you're running at 6, it's about how you feel at the end of the workout and what you did to help your physical fitness.

Love when they challenge us because they (1) believe in us and (2) know we are stronger than we think. We can do hard things and this place is proof of that. Awesome place to learn. Kelly is friendly and professional. Not only does he know what he is…read moretalking about, but he is also extremely good at explaining how different moves work. As a person who isn't very coordinated (I wouldn't consider myself a natural athlete) I really appreciate a teacher who can speak past my limited hand-eye coordination, to get me to slip into the correct positions almost in spite of myself. Kelly is excellent at explaining the physics and motion of the body, and why things work the way that they do. If anybody has trouble understanding a concept, Kelly will come at it from multiple angles, assuring that students with different learning styles are accommodated. The other students really great as well, everybody I have met has a helpful and friendly demeanor. The main vibe of the place is to help build everybody up. Good teachers attract good students. Also, some of the students from the gym have won fights recently, this is a testament to the teacher and classes. The gym is great, the mat has been clean every time I've been in there, (these things should be a given but I have been surprised before) and the equipment is all legit. The pricing is great, with a membership granting access to every class that is taught. If there are any issues that arise with the payment, you can get help via email and the response is quick, friendly and extremely helpful. The schedule seems to be filling up more as well, in the last few weeks I have seen at least one class added to the schedule. The gym is definitely worth more than the cost of admission. First class is always free so there's nothing to lose by checking it out!

Dude might have been just a racist white man since Im Mexican with Tattoos ( I'm also a business owner).. I wasn't bothering anyone I was just trying to get some dinner. I hope he wasn't the owner of Combat fitness because that is definitely not where you want your kids to be. Thanks for Trying to run me over at Legends bud. I appreciated that.

Also, it would be really nice if there were premoistened, disinfecting wipes rather than the paper towel spray bottle situation. I mean, a lot of people pay for their membership and it's not the cheapest gym in town. The $10/month gyms have the disinfecting wipes and tissues available if you need to blow your nose. Anyhoo, love it here, in fact I'm obsessed. Thank you SRAC!

The first time I went there I didn't bring any cash and I expected them to have at least a water fountain available. It really turns me off when gyms try to nickel and dime their customers.

I am still going strong at Kaia, and I wanted to write an update. I am on my 2nd Brik, and it's…read moreamazing the results from Brik that I am already feeling after week 3. Admittedly, I fell off track after I completed the first round. I kept working out, but eating out and social drinking got the best of me. I am back on Brik, and I have cut out almost all processed foods, limited my alcohol intake drastically, and cut back on coffee. But notice, I didn't say 100%. And that's the great thing. Some of the other gyms might recommend a chicken and broccoli only diet-Kaia doesn't do that. It's plant based, really delicious food, and it's not militant. I love that. As cliche as it sounds, they really are a lifestyle-nutrition, exercise, community . . .and I am drinking the (all natural) Kool aid. LOL I know that I will have my ups and downs, but I know that Kaia is consistently there for me to go get a great workout, be around genuinely nice people, laugh every morning at 5 a.m., and grow and learn more about ME-mind, body, soul. I feel like if I stick with it, I will continue to see great results. I would suggest Kaia to anyone looking for a home gym, where they can feel supported.
