Elite's coaches always create a great workout, and it's been amazing to see how much my fitness has improved over the course of this year. The other gym members are willing to share their knowledge and go slow with you when you're just getting the hang of things, which makes learning feel less intimidating. If you develop a consistent routine at Elite, you're likely to see a lot of the same faces in your classes, which makes it much more approachable and is also a testament to how strong the community is! There are some very dedicated people who work out at Elite, and it's inspiring to see people showing up every day to take care of themselves. Joining Elite is genuinely one of the best things I've done for my physical and mental health. As a facility, it's centrally located in town, which is super convenient. It's always very clean, and there's a huge variety of workout equipment and tools and a boxing ring. Special shoutout to coaches Jarred and Ricky, ass-kicker extrordinaires, and to JB and Oscar, who always make the gym feel like a fun and friendly place to spend some time. CrossFit Sierra Nevada is probably one of the largest CrossFit facilities in Northern Nevada. Willie is super friendly and seems pretty knowledgeable of functional fitness. His facility is very well-equipped with rigs a various heights and varieties to work on different skills. There are plenty of weights, and the facility is pretty clean especially given how big the location is. There is plenty of room to work out and environment is comfortable. Call or drop by for pricing, scheduling a drop in, or to learn more about Crossfit. This is the only CrossFit location on the west side of town. The artificial grass is really nice to workout on when you are used to rubber matting on the floor! There are no mirrors, so it will be difficult to be looking at your muscles while working out to see if you are swoll! This means you have to work hard to see gains!

This is super helpful as they walk around to help with correcting form and providing encouragement! Each class is different. There are resistance focused, cardio focused, and hybrid focused classes. I've never had the same workout twice. The workouts are very clear to follow as there are screens throughout the gym that show an example of the workout and help you know where to go next. It's great to do and not have to think! The workouts fly by and are so fun. I'm glad I found this gym and I'm looking forward to taking more classes!

Seven months in and it's everything I was expecting…read more I tried HOTWORX during the Elite Experience in July and really liked the combination of infrared saunas and variety of work outs available. I actually find myself getting up early on my days off to go to Hotworx for the yoga. During the week I enjoy going right after work. The times are convenient since it all runs on continuous loops 24/7. The infrared saunas warm you deep inside, allowing the muscles to have less strain and more motion. You begin sweating in the first five minutes. Bye bye toxins. There's enough variety to keep you interested and motivated. Besides the 10 saunas there is a small gym area equipped with various weights. Most of the time whether it's just the times I pick, I'm usually the only one in the saunas. The facility is available 24/7. Staffed hours are posted. There are several security items in place for unstaffed times - hall lights dim if no one moves in the hall for 20 minutes, only members can enter with special app on their phone, and there are two panic buttons available to take with you in a sauna. The app allows me to check availability of saunas and times to book two days out. It also records sessions and calories burned. Give it a try.

I've also noticed a big improvement in my VO2 max by consistently using their hot cycle sessions -- they're challenging but incredibly effective. Another thing I love is how much stronger I've become. When I first started the Buns class, I had to do it without the bands because I was so weak in that "department," but over time I steadily built strength and progressed to using more and more resistant bands.
