Elite's coaches always create a great workout, and it's been amazing to see how much my fitness has improved over the course of this year. The other gym members are willing to share their knowledge and go slow with you when you're just getting the hang of things, which makes learning feel less intimidating. If you develop a consistent routine at Elite, you're likely to see a lot of the same faces in your classes, which makes it much more approachable and is also a testament to how strong the community is! There are some very dedicated people who work out at Elite, and it's inspiring to see people showing up every day to take care of themselves. Joining Elite is genuinely one of the best things I've done for my physical and mental health. As a facility, it's centrally located in town, which is super convenient. It's always very clean, and there's a huge variety of workout equipment and tools and a boxing ring. Special shoutout to coaches Jarred and Ricky, ass-kicker extrordinaires, and to JB and Oscar, who always make the gym feel like a fun and friendly place to spend some time. In person (both Sparks and Reno), through staff, and directly with my personal trainer. No one gave me a clear way to actually complete the cancellation. So I kept getting charged. Months later, I was still being billed, including for personal training sessions that were never scheduled or used. When I escalated it, I was told there was "no record" of my attempts and that I still owed the money. I was also told the cancellation process was clearly outlined in my agreement. It's not. I went back and reviewed the contract myself, and the process is not presented in any clear, straightforward way like they claimed -- and it definitely wasn't communicated to me during any of my attempts to cancel. By that point, I had already paid around $800 for services I didn't use. The only way I got the charges to stop was by filing a fraud claim and canceling my credit card. Now they're still trying to collect more. As a single dad, this hit hard -- and the way it's been handled is honestly unacceptable. Bottom line: If something goes wrong, don't expect help. Expect to be told you "didn't cancel correctly" while charges continue.

I was greeted EACH time by name and treated like family. This team cares about their members and their goals. The support and help that they offer with their Coaching services is incredible and VERY affordable for anyone who is ready to make a healthy change. You wouldnt do that at the swimming pool, why here? have some respect for your fellow gym members. ive spoken with other gym members directly and asked them to leave and go put on a swim suit, but ultimately, its not my job. put up a sign that's readable - there is one with small print that lists swimsuits as required, but its way down the list. 24 Hour Fitness had one sign on the entrance to the pool/sauna area with one message: "swimsuits required." also, maybe have consequences? one employee told me that all he could do was tell the person to leave. Um, yes, thats EXACTLY what you do, and you tell them that if it happens again their membership will be revoked. women and children use these areas (and me). besides, if it's ok for one person to wear underwear in the sauna, a public area, then everyone can do it, and im not sure thats a line any of us want to cross. toleration has its limits.

The energy they bring to the room and the workouts is amazing; every single workout that I attend is a challenge and I can always slow things down if I'm having an off day. Each instructor has their own element of fun and personality. Another point is that this location is highly involved in the community. They have 90 minute hero classes that honor first responders. They just donated an incredible amount of food these past few weeks and this month they're collecting kids' Jammie's to donate. I highly recommend joining but you better not steal my spot in class!

I showed up and checked in and being a gym rat, he always promised a butt kicking workout. Let me just tell you, it delivered! I'm not big on group training, so I almost said no. (With the exception of my heated pilates and yoga classes.) I've seen amazing results from my friends that are still members here although, I prefer to workout solo or with my coach. I'm so glad I gave them a try. We formed a group of 4 with two other guys and it was a blast as we moved through the stations. I'll most likely drop in again with him in the future. The energy and the coaches were awesome and of course my friend was recognized for his workouts; he's a beast! This place kicked my tail. Thank you for a great workout and making us earn our post-workout meal!

It makes such a difference to want to go to workout, be social, and hang out with your friends. Don't get the wrong idea, it's not all conversations and play time. Alena is one tough trainer. It's so motivating to have her workout with you side by side. Crossfit is so intimidating to start, but this gym will make sure that you acclimate to the lifestyle. They are so good about teaching proper form and never pushing yourself beyond what you can do. But when you are capable, they WILL push you to make sure you are doing your very best.

They are visibly worn, damaged, they don't come clean even after wiping them down with the sanitation wipes. It's disappointing that under new ownership, something as basic as clean equipment hasn't been addressed. I've been to the downtown location and while those mats aren't perfect/new, they are noticeably cleaner and better maintained. I really hope this location can prioritize replacing these mats soon, as cleanliness is extremely important for a gym to prioritize. I can bring my own mat but the gym should still be providing clean ones for members!

These screens are awesome! You can create a profile for future logins. They allow you to watch content or watch a video of a trail or path as you run. There is also a place to wirelessly charge a phone, hold a drink, and even prop up an entire book to read (I've done this a few times and I highly recommend it). Machines That Focus on a Muscle Group: If there's a name for this category of machine, I just don't know it. They have 2 machines each of these kind of machines. Lock Rooms: Locker rooms have lockable lockers (bring a lock), showers, a dry sauna, and bathrooms. I've been very happy with the cleanliness here. I hear there's also a tanning booth but I haven't used them. Water: Water refill stations available. Other: I can see that they have areas for boxing - like punching bags - but I don't know much about it. I also see they have weight lifting machines aplenty but again my knowledge here is fuzzy at best. Overall I'm really pleased with this gym at this price point and it checks all the boxes for what I would like from my personal gym. Take advantage of the family deal! $10 for the memberships of immediate family members.
