Lightning fast service !! This company is really great. The technician Daniel was nice , reliable and pleasant. He was patient and explained what he was doing. Very fair in price compared to the contractor and 3 other locksmiths that I contacted . I saved time and money with him. Daniel actually recommended the cheaper alternative because it was right for me, but took the time to explain my options. I highly recommend calling them up for your locksmith needs! read more

DS Locksmith & Emergency Services - Great work! - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me

So this morning I was a bit hazy and took Lil Fonzi out for his usual 6am walk! DOOOOOPE, I walked back just to find I had locked myself out! Weeeee!! Great start to a Friday? RIGHT! My husband was in Hollywood and I was..., well ya know..., SCREWED! So a friendly neighbor allowed me the use of her internet and phone. As usual I went to Yelp for immediate assistance and after calling like the first 10 and having no answer, I finally got a hold of Daniel! SO HAPPY HE ANSWERED! It was great, he was quick! He knows what he is doing and is fair. He can't give you the exact price over the phone, come on people every situation and lock is different until he shows up he can't tell you. I really appreciate that he was able to come as quick as he did. I was able to get ready for work and be there on time! Thanks Daniel! Sorry I woke you up!!!!! I will definitely recommend you anytime a locksmith is needed! read more

I was visiting my best friend from graduate school in LA and being from the Bay Area I already have a negative image of LA and the people. HOWEVER, there is one good thing to happen to LA and it's Danny from DS Locksmith. While trotting around LA and being a tourist, I locked myself out my car. My friend and I stepped out of the car on a windy road somewhere between the valley and hollywood to snap a selfie of us with the iconic Hollywood sign, after a few pictures we finally got the perfect shot but upon returning back to my car, we realized we were locked out and the keys were sitting on my drivers seat. Sweating and annoyed I did a quick yelp search and called DS Locksmith. Danny was extremely nice on the phone and upon arrival not only did he make me laugh, he opened my car door with swift and ease. You could tell he was taking precautions to not break the window but still made sure to work quickly and efficiently. DS Locksmith saved my day and allowed me to get back to playing tourist. read more

My husband and I were visiting family in the LA area when we went to dinner and I decided to leave my purse in the locked car, but used the door lock to lock the car....and guess what? I had automatically thrown my keys in my purse! Grrrrrr now my keys were in my locked car!!! Well, our friend heard of Danny at DS so we placed a call...and voila he was there in minutes and carefully opened the car...phew!! He was awesome and sweet as I felt like such a dummy for doing a silly thing like that (was tired from long drive down from SF). Thanks Danny you're a Rockstar!! Let me start by saying the owner of DS Locksmith was very nice and called me back to make sure a locksmith had contacted me. However, that doesn't make up for $65 I was charged over the quote I was given and the hour long wait. I was quoted $85 to unlock my apartment door. When the locksmith got there an hour later he told it would cost $150. All he did was put a key into my lock and hammer it in until it opened. The process took 3 minutes. There was no drilling. There's no way that costs $150. He claimed it starts at $85 and different locks cost more. This was a regular Kwikset door knob lock! That should be the standard! I didn't make a fuss and just accepted the extra charge because I refused to be locked out of my house any longer. I feel duped. I called several other locksmiths and was quoted $95 so I though I was getting a deal. I called the owner after the locksmith left and no one answered. I won't use this service again. read more

My boyfriend locked the office keys in the office. We didn't have a spare. We attempted to open the lock with some hair pins but that didn't work so we called Danny from DS Locksmith and Emergency. I received his contact information from a friend. Danny was very accommodating about the time and said he would come whenever it was convenient for me. Danny opened the door so fast! He was precise and did not need to drill the lock which is what I was afraid of. I would definitely use Danny for my future locksmith needs as well as recommend him to all my friends and family. Super fast, friendly, accommodating, and reasonable pricing !! Thank you Danny! read more

This is the oddest review I've ever written: After buying an Angie's List coupon and having this company come out, I initially gave it the lowest rating both on Angie's List and Yelp, because although the owner, Daniel, was extremely nice on the phone, the guy that actually came out was thoroughly unprofessional, and left most of work undone. When Daniel found out about the reviews, he contacted me immediately. He was extremely apologetic - and upset - about the locksmith who came out, saying that this was the very first time he had used this guy, and unequivocally agreeing that what I experienced was unprofessional. Not only did Daniel refund my money and say he would cease working with that locksmith, I could tell he was personally grieved and would do whatever it took to right the situation. He had a very strong pride of ownership. Apparently, Daniel has gotten so popular due to his professionalism that he had to hire someone else to do some of the work - and what I can say? - I know firsthand that sometimes you just get a bad apple. What counts is that Daniel took full responsibility, and the very best action that any business owner could take towards satisfying a customer. I was very impressed by Daniel's conscientiousness - so impressed that I actually trust his company now more than I did when I initially read his many rave reviews. Hence this revised review and high rating. read more
