Thank you David for your visit to my home...you were helpful in your recommendations. Called mid day and he was there by late afternoon. In and out with quality work left in his path. A+++ David came out the same day at a scheduled appointment time. None of this 3 hour window bullshit. What person with a job can just go hang out at home for three hours?! Anyway, he showed up early and knocked out the job super quick. I was back to the office in no time. Highly recommended for your lock and key needs read more

I used David to re-key the locks at my house and he was great. Friendly man and helped me think the situation thru before just changing all the locks in the house. Fair pricing and he was done with the job in good time. I will be using him again if I need a locksmith again. read more

OK, you can stop looking. This is your guy. Seriously, I rarely write reviews ,but David and D locks are so good, the word must be spread. I was so impressed the first time I used them, I actually put their number in my contacts. I never do that. I think about it... but that's as far as I get. I wasn't taking chances this time. So, when I was feeling handy patching cracks with wood filler, I tried to fill the little hole in my back door knob that wouldn't hold a screw. Long story short, not only didn't it work.....I was now locked in. I checked my contacts, called David, told him it wasn't an emergency and made an appointment for 9:30am the following day. He arrived on time, we had a little chat, and he was finished by 9:40am. So... I had him look at my front door, with the fancy hardware. It was never installed correctly and has driven me crazy for two years. He fixed that by 9:45am. Yup, look no further, this is your guy. read more

I called David for a quote and he was very responsive. All I had to do was send him a picture of the locks I wanted to change, and he was able to quote me based on those requests. David was flexible in timing, and was able to come as early as 7 am so that I could get to work on time. He spent about 75 minutes to change four locks, so he was very efficient. A very positive experience working with David. read more

"D Locks" was the second locksmith I called to fix three incorrectly installed door handles in my house. The first locksmith told me over the phone after I sent pictures of one of the broken door handles, "Oh, it's a Baldwin. You're going to have to get new door handles." I didn't accept this because these brass door handles were very expensive and relatively new. I then called D Locks, David came out within the hour, and he fixed all three door handles perfectly, and charged me $89.00. I'm writing this yelp review because I am so grateful and impressed with him and his work. If I could give a bonus 6th star for exceptional work, I'd do that too. David is totally trustworthy, professional and highly skilled! read more

We used David from D Locks today and he was awesome. He was at my house within 2 hours of calling with an emergency. My 5 year old is walking out our front door when the rest of the house is still asleep - as in the dark hours of morning. He had a great solution, a slide lock with a key! That will keep our escape artist safely in the house. She'd just slide a chair up and unlock a traditional slide. He was friendly, capable, responsive, and his price was extremely fair. Wow, what a service. Finding a trustworthy locksmith is really important. You are placing your trust of your home security to a complete stranger. But David was the best. He came to my home on a Sunday at no extra cost. He was on-time and was extremely helpful. He tried to replace entry door knob/lock and realized the one I purchased at Home Depot was not working properly. He asked me to purchase a new one (he provided explicit instructions on the type of knob to get) and he would return and install at no additional cost. Unlike other service contractors who would have charged me for this visit and the next, David was exceptional. His focus wasn't about getting paid nor trying to nickel & dime your clients. He was all about customer service. He left and it's what happened after that amazed me. I texted him w/ an inquiry on my deadbolt (different lock) and in a day, he researched further w/ vendors and ideas on how I could resolve my problem...cost effectively. The research he did was no joke. He probably saved me hours of research on my own and calling around for answers. Who does that? I can't even get my own employees to do this type of research and I pay them. He is detail oriented, organized and thorough. He came back in a day, finished the job in less than 10 mins. He is committed and very thorough w/ his work. He even made extra keys for me at no additional cost. He is all about customer service. He's easy to talk to and super friendly. I would recommend him to anyone who's looking for good service and job done right. His specialty is commercial, but does residential on the side. I am definitely going to spread the word about this guy! read more

Was very efficient, great price and excellent service. David went out of his way to order the exact lock that I wanted and didn't leave till it was working they way I wanted it to work. Would definitely use him again and suggest him to my friends! read more

David came out right away at the time he said he would come. Our front door lock (which is old and complicated with three different locks) was not working properly for a long time and we thought we needed a completely new lock. David took apart the lock and fixed it so it works like a new lock. Thank you David! His price was reasonable and I highly recommend him. read more

I called David and he arrived an hour later at my Mother's new house. He re-keyed the locks, installed two deadbolts and made keys for our garage. He also showed me how to open the garage door when the power is out. I will call him again if needed. He is excellent at his job and he's a fun person. He was great!! I highly recommend D Locks!! read more

Have used David (D Locks) twice. Outstanding service. Great value. Strongly recommend.

Just great! I had another locksmith come out who made keys that were so rough I got a bruise on my fingers from trying to open the doors, and who also were rude and frankly seemed as if they were trying to work a scam to change all my locks (Leonard's Lock and Key in Burbank). So I called D locks from Angies List to try to fix the problem. He came out and immediately know what the problem was. He fixed it very fast, was professional and courteous, and his price was VERY reasonable. (Also didn't have to change the locks! ) I will definitely use him again if I ever need locksmith or security services. read more

I called 3 Locksmiths today. and just preferred David's demeanor over the phone. It's a personal thing. David of D Locks was extremely polite and accommodating. He informed me that he could only come at the end of the day and that suited me just fine. He was efficient and got the job done in an excellent manner. He even went above and beyond by fixing my gate striker and applying some oil to it, when he wasn't even called to do anything but change a lock. He was professional and very knowledgeable. I would definitely refer him to all my colleagues and use him every time I am in need of a Locksmith. He will earn my client's business as well because I am a Realtor. Linda O read more
