Just like other reviewers said, they will rip you off. Don't believe their initial quote. At the end, they will double the charge for you. They will add many hours of additional labors and parts cost you never know if it is truly broken. Their boss is rude too. Nobody else is doing business like this. They came within 20 minutes. Over the phone Borak told me it would be $30 to come out and then $50 minimum. I had one lock on my apartment to unlock. The locksmith arrived and charged me $150. I called Borak as this seemed a little steep. Borak immediately remedied the situation. I got $70 back and ultimately only paid $80, which is a fair price for the quick turnaround. We called R&B locksmith to fix two locks in our building. The locksmith came out fairly fast around 12 pm. We tried to get an estimate before the repair and was told he will need to bring the one of the locks back to his shop and will provide us an estimates. for the other locks, he said we need to replace the cylinder and that will be about $500 as it is a high security lock. Before he took the locks back to his shop, he gave us a rough estimates about $1000 + labor. We receive no phone call and when we tried to reach out to R&B locksmith and was told the locksmith is on his way. That was around 6 pm. The locksmith finally showed up around 6:30 pm and started install the locks. We were told the total cost was $2300. The previous reviewer is correct. R&B locksmith never disclosed the true costs. we were told the to replace the cylinder is about $500 then we were charged $300 to rekey plus other hidden costs that they never disclosed. The locksmith is also very rude and crass. They are ripping people off and they have no standard fees schedule. read more

The guy over the phone said the base fee was $55 plus $29.99 just for showing up. He said he'd call me back with a set price and a locksmith eta, which he never did. The locksmith showed up almost an hour later and said his boss said it would cost me $170!!!!! Not sure how they came up with that rate since they didn't ask me for any information about my car at all over the phone. I drive a mid-level older car, there is no reason it should've been $170. I was able to negotiate it down to $120 but I still left the situation feeling very taken advantage of. To top it off, they charge a 7% fee if you want to pay using your credit or debit card.
