Drylux Restoration and Enviro-Clean Abatement Services pose as separate companies, but in actuality they share owners and work together to invent and exaggerate damages that they can repair in order to get a payout from their customers' home owners insurance. The scam starts with the plumber who receives a $1000 kickback to refer customers to Drylux for "professional drying" of the water damaged area. Drylux will come to your home to do a free assessment. They will assure you that the repairs will be covered by your home owners insurance and will NOT discuss the price of their services even if you ask directly. They will warn you that you better rush and begin repairs and give you a list of things you could be exposed to such as asbestos, lead, and mold. Enter Enviro-Clean. Drylux sends in specialists, Enviro Clean, (really just another one of their companies) to conduct diagnostic tests on the area. Before you know it the area, in my case the kitchen, will be completely demolished. Once the area is dried and treated for the above stated poisons, Enviro-clean will tell you to call their sister company Hyperbuilt to put the area back together. Putting back what they destroy is not part of their service. If you are lucky and your insurance covers the claim, then everything is great. Drylux and Enviro Clean will get their payout directly from the insurance company and you will never even know what they charged. However, BEWARE home owners insurance only covers very specific types of water damage. If your insurance company denies the claim you will be left with a demolished area and a large bill from Enviro-Clean and Drylux. In my case, Enviro-Clean lied and told me on numerous occasions there was no mold on the water damaged area. This is important because insurance companies will not cover claims that involve mold. The claims adjuster noticed immediately that they had covered up the moldy area with fresh paint and even left mold on the counters that they removed. The owner later admitted to my husband and I that he had known there was mold all along. Not only did I use this false information to file my claim, but I did not insist that Enviro-Clean test the area to confirm the mold was completely removed... because I didn't know there was mold. I have two toddlers who eat, play, and live in the area that had mold, which Enviro Clean left completely exposed. Unacceptable. read more

Very pleased with the service they provided. Assuming everything goes smoothly with the homeowners insurance, as they assured me, I will gladly recommend this company. We discovered a leak from our water pipes and the plumber dispatched to our house suggested DryLux to do the demolition and dryout work. I first made sure they were a preferred contractor with Allstate before having them sent to our house. Within a hour, Austin, a project manager, showed up and assessed the magnitude and extent of water damage. He walked me through the entire process and helped get a claim started with Allstate. Within an hour, a crew was at our house to do the work. The team was exceptionally professional, courteous and friendly. They arrived around 730pm and didn't leave until after 2am. Denny (Dennis) and his crew were so meticulous and careful with my home and our belongings. The guys first placed plastic runners on the floors, put on shoe booties and gently moved our things before demolishing and extracting cabinets and drawers. Denny kept me informed at every step of the process and was so conscious about being in my way as I moved about my home. His crew was so accommodating. At 9pm they had to take a quick trip to Home Depot for something but otherwise I didn't see these guys take a single break, touch their phones or even ask to use our bathroom. I offered them waters and they were so gracious and were apologetic about how long the process was taking. Around midnight they informed me that they had called "backup" to give them a hand. Within 30 minutes, another crew of two showed up. Everyone was dressed in matching uniform and was extremely courteous. At the conclusion of the job they hauled off all the trash, swept the floors, vacuumed intensively and covered any nearby furniture with plastic drop clothes. They also positioned multiple fans and HEPA filters throughout the work area to expedite drying. Thank you so much Denny, Chinto, Chris R. And Trevor! You guys really saved the day. Will update with more as it becomes available! read more

Well when my livingroom flooded and ceiling in my two story home decided to bubble up over night I started calling a couple of different companies to come out. Everyone that came out said it would be weeks before they could even dig into it to take a look or they immediately just claimed nothing was wrong that it was due to kids constantly overflowing the bathroom toilet upstairs above the livingroo. First off my kids are teenagers and I deep clean the bathrooms at least 2xs a week. So I knew something else was wrong and it had to be in the wall some how because there was never water on the bathroom floor upstairs to cause my downstairs to flood. A friend of mine told me how she used Drylux restoration when her kitchen flooded to give them a call. Needless to say I did immediately they came out. They took the time to not only listen to what I had to say but they look downstairs but also upstairs bathroom toilet from what the other companies claimed it was of kids flooding the toilet. The other companies were wrong and when the Drylux was doing their inspection they found it was behind the wall behind the shower. After they opened it up and drying every out it was a pipe from not only that bathroom but the master bath that shared the same wall. Drylux immediately got to work and went over and beyond not only with their thorough checks but also making sure home was still livable and functionable and kept it very clean where they were working. they replaced the piping drywall flooring and whatever else that was damaged both upstairs and downstairs in a timely matte. Drylux was very professional honest dependable trustworthy and took pride in their work. They treated my home with pride and care as if they would treat their own. In all honesty i Wouldn't and trust anyone else to work on my home other then Drylux. Thank you so much for all your guys help and truly appreciate and greatful for y'all's honesty time and pride and dedication into this projetc! Y'all are amazin! Thank you so much again!!! read more

Ben and his team from Drylux were God sent when I was in the middle of a double disaster 2 months ago. Following a water heater leak, and based on the plumber's recommendation, I contacted Drylux. Drylux arrived as scheduled. With most professional, courteous and helpful attitude they fixed the water heater stand, cut away and bagged the damaged drywalls, cleared and cleaned the area and installed the fans and dehumidifiers and got everything ready in time for the plumber to install the new water heater the following day. The team said they will be back in few days to remove the fans and other equipment. In the meantime the water heater was installed and I thought all would be over by the coming weekend. However, when I came home on Friday I discovered that my elderly father following some bizarre incidence had managed to break the toilet tank causing a major flooding with over an inch of water throughout most of the house. I was devastated by the magnitude of the work ahead. I didn't know what to do and where to begin. At this moment the doorbell rang. It was the Drylux team who had come to remove the fans. They saw the emergency and without any hesitation got to work. They vacuumed the water and installed about 17 fans and dehumidifiers throughout the house. They said since this is considered neglectful behavior on our part, we cannot claim this on my home insurance and Drylux is doing this just to help out and as a courtesy and customer service. It took multiple inspection and 6 days of fans and humidifiers for the walls and the floors to dry. The truth is they did not have to help me. They could have used the situation to their financial advantage. Instead they generously offered their expertise, time and equipment for free. Thanks to them and their help my house suffered no water damage from that incident and I will always remember them for their humanity as well as their work skills and recommend them without any hesitation. read more

Let me preface this review with a statement - this company and its people did a super-amazing job - I cannot sing their praises high enough for what they accomplished in our house. We had a leaking hot water heater in our garage, which abutted our living room and the adjoining powder room. We didn't realize just how much water damage had been done prior to us noticing the leak. Our plumber recommended Drylux Restoration, as he had several instances where Drylux came to the rescue, all with excellent results. Within one hour of them being called Austin arrived along with some of his Drylux team. He was very calming, courteous, and pleasant as he told us not to worry - that he and his company would certainly be able to fix everything for us, such that we wouldn't notice a difference after they had completed their work. He was correct. (Austin is worth his weight in gold for the manner in which he handled us in this very stressful situation!) We used his Drylux team (four people) for the packing (and unpacking and reinstalling) of all of our possessions (18 large cardboard boxes of souvenirs which we had collected from our travels, along with the dismantling and reassembling of our china display cabinets, etc). Candee, the lead packer/unpacker was absolutely amazing in her attitude, work ethic, and professional handling of her team players. Drylux's sister company had to rebuild a bathroom vanity, replace plumbing and lighting, and replace many square feet of drywall. Both companies' employees accomplished their work on-time and always with a smile!! In this day and age where mediocre work is somewhat the norm, Drylux and its employees went far beyond what we had expected. Their teamwork was wonderful to witness! Hopefully, we will not have to use them again, however, if the need should arise, we would use them again in a heartbeat! They are absolutely wonderful!! EXCELLENT!!! read more

To start, Drylux has surpassed all my expectations! From their response time, to their customer service, to their cleanliness inside my home; I couldn't be more appreciative of their services. When I arrived home from work I noticed that I had water coming out of my garage; I immediately noticed that it was coming from my water heater. I couldn't get my water turned off so I had to run to my neighbors home to help. My neighbor informed me that she had a similar issue and used Drylux, with whom she was really pleased. I got their number online and the owner answered right away. He was very responsive and said that he would have someone there within an hour to take a look at the problem, and to give me a few options on what they could do. Ryker showed up about 45 minutes later to take a look. He used a few tools that indicated where the water was and how wet the walls all were. He walked me through each room and explained in great detail exactly what needed done. Ryker offered me a few options to fix the problem. I decided to go through my insurance company. Before Ryker left he gave me his card, with his personal cell phone, and let me know that I could reach him at anytime. He then had someone out at my home in 1 hour to start the work. The gentleman were very clean cut and professional, and I was very impressed with their demeanor. I got talking with one of them as he was working, asking him how he liked his line of work. I was blown away about how many good things he was saying about the people he worked with and the owners of the company. I could tell that he truly took pride in what he was doing. They were very clean, putting plastic down everywhere and wiping down everything when they left. Drylux was truly the epitome of a great restoration company and they have earned my referral for life. read more

If you have water damage caused by a plumbing leak, and your plumber recommends Drylux, tell him to take that referral and stick it where the sun don't shine. First, they'll want to make sure you have insurance and what the deductible is. Then they force you to sign a form that says all insurance payments must be made out to them. Why, you ask? So they can charge you an obscene amount and will negotiate with your insurance company and not you. They will set up an abundance of dehumidifiers and fans in order to charge you. They will tell you they'll stop by every day to check the moisture levels, and will even go as far as providing a time. But the time comes and goes and you'll end up reaching out to them, only for them to tell you the only time they can stop by will be between 9 pm and 11:30 pm because they're "extremely busy". They know people aren't going to stay up that late, so guess what? They get to charge you another day of the fans, dehumidifiers, etc. They'll do this over and over until a.) you get pissed, or b.) they've met their quota and are done milking the insurance company. When I was provided their invoice, I pushed back on their charges as they did not match up to their rate sheet. I questioned the number of days the fans, etc were there since they were the ones that did not arrive at the times they stated. Their response was that they negotiate with the insurance company since they make you sign their form that says payment goes straight to them. So, if your plumber recommends Drylux, do not use them. In fact, I would stop using that plumber as I'm sure they're getting a kick-back from Drylux. Most of the time, it's all related to a home warranty call. With all that being said, you've been warned, and I would not use them again. read more

This is one of the most reasonable and ethical companies I have ever encountered! I had water damage in my bathroom due to a pipe leak in the attic. I tried my home warranty and the plumber set informed me it wasn't covered. He informed me it likely would be covered by my Home Owners Insurance. The plumber recommended and contacted Drylux to deal with the water damage. They showed up within a half hour. We engaged them to do the work for us and the process started immediately with them leaving equipment to dry the water damage and filter the air in the room. Samples were taken for asbestos content and we were well on our way to having them do the work. That evening my wife and I decided we could repair the damage ourselves and the next day I called Drylux to cancel their services. Drylux had already invested labor, equipment and had sent samples to the lab for asbestos testing. All this totaling well over $1,000. I called the company and explained that we were canceling the insurance clame because we felt we could repair the damage ourselves for much less that the insurance deductible. The employ I talked to was very understanding and agreeable. He contacted the lab doing the asbestos test and was able to cancel the test (at no cost) and he forgave the bill owed to Drylux for the services already rendered. If I ever again have need for damage restoration, I will defiantly call on Drylux! I highly recommend them! read more

Our rental property experienced a plumbing leak in the outside wall, which went undetected for some time and caused a lot of water damage in one of the units. After the plumber found and repaired the leak, we hired hired Drylux to take care of the water damage. They tested the drywall for moisture and found extensive moisture spread. In testing the 1970s vintage drywall, asbestos was found. Because of the asbestos Drylux's sister company Enviro-Clean took over the water damage repair and the asbestos abatement. I can't say enough good about how responsive these guys were, getting on the work within one day, and staying on it working hard until finished. Compared to other stories I've heard about how long water damage and asbestos abatement usually take, we were very pleased with the work Drylux and Enviro-Clean did for us in a short time. Even before the water and asbestos mitigation was finished, their rebuild sister company Hyperbuilt got started. Hyperbuilt tackled the rebuild work (sheet rock, plumbing, kitchen cabinets rebuild, countertops, etc.) quickly and effectively. Having access to this team of connected contractors to take care of the whole job was a huge help to us out-of-area owners. The project managers at Drylux, Enviro-Clean and Hyperbuilt were responsive, knowledgable, and extremely helpful. We recommend the team of Drylux, Enviro-Clean and Hyperbuilt. ~Dan read more

Drylux was recommended to me by my home warranty tech from Pruitts Plumbing...they must get some kind of kick back I have seen many reviewers saying the same thing. I should have stuck with my gut and called a company that we used 2 years ago when we had flooding. Arizona's Restoration Experts!! I however went for the quick fix as the pruitts tech called and talked to Drylux right then for me and scheduled them to come out in the next hour and a half. The deluxe employees were all kind and efficient enough, when I was shown the original walk thru they told me I would not pay more than $1500 out of pocket...we decided to not go through insurance. I just received my invoice and shockingly it is $1500 on the dot...lol this was with the $1000 deduction because I am not going through insurance. . I went through the bill with one of the ladies and had hundreds of dollars that were discrepancies and one of the charges being $229 on its own. I said so now my bill will be in the $1200 range and she informed me that no they will take the discrepancies out of the $1000 they "saved" me by paying cash. I find that very sketchy I like business to be up front and honest.. I personally feel that this company overcharges areas and hopes that you do not notice. Not the company for me! Really wish I had not used them. Hope this review saves someone else a headache. read more

When our refrigerator supply line busted and flooded our kitchen, Drylux came out right away and started extracting the water. If they didn't come out so promptly, we could of had way more damage from the flood! We had never experienced water damage before, at first it was stressful not knowing what to expect, but the Drylux team was helpful and patiently explained the process. They got everything started and processed with the insurance company too. When they came out to start the dryout the tech, Riley, was very professional and friendly. They had to remove the water from the kitchen (on the second floor) and the lower level bedroom. After they removed the water they set up fans for a couple days to get everything dry. The last step in getting our home back to normal was the restoration. We were super nervous when we saw them removing drywall and ripping out some of the flooring because I didn't know how long it would take to replace stuff like that. We really liked that we didn't have to go out and search for someone to do it because Drylux has a sister company that does restoration so they saved us time by doing the work back to back. All in all, we were happy that we didn't have to do much but call Drylux and they took care of everything from start to finish. We are very pleased that we used them and would recommend them to our friends and family. read more

DryLux is a fantastic company. My mother is 89 years old and we had a slab leak and the plumber recommended calling DryLux for mitigation. The employees of this company were the most polite considerate gentleman I have ever experienced in the service industry. My mother was very upset about the situation and these gentlemen were so kind, compassionate, understanding and gentle dealing with her. They were able to calm her down and they did the job in a professional manner. They Were extremely conscientious about not making a mess. They taped and laid plastic down everywhere to make sure nothing else would be damaged while they did their job. We asked them to do the job as efficiently and quickly as possible and they did it And kept my mother calm through the whole process. The men that work for this company made a bad experience actually a very pleasant situation with the way they handled everything. The owner Ben has a great company and great employees. All my calls were answered or returned quickly with all my questions answered through the whole process. Five stars is not enough for the service and empathy that these gentlemen Express. Thank you DryLux for taking care of my mother. I highly recommend this company read more

I usually do not leave reviews about companies or take surveys as I am very busy. However I felt like I needed to leave my input about Drylux and its employees. I am a repeat customer as I had the misfortune of experiencing a water leak last November and then once again last Saturday. Having a good experience the first time with Drylux I called them right away after discovering the second leak. Fortunately I was able to catch it and it did not cause as much damage as my first leak. Riley with Drylux was out within an hour and was able to put my fears to rest as he informed me the water had not spread very far and was an easy fix. He then even offered to leave a fan for free! Yes free, as he recognized me from the first leak and said it would be no trouble to leave one and pick it up in a few days as the damages were minor. I just thought that was something you do not see in companies values anymore. A company that is concerned for their customer more than trying to nickel and dime them. Riley did as he offered and was at my house this evening to check that everything was dry and remove his fan. He was a true gentleman and I could not be more impressed with him and Drylux! read more

I had a leak under the floor in the master bath. My warranty. Company guy told me about Drylux, I called them to get someone out for am estimate. It took 3 days for Ben to come out, after two phone calls. Ben came out and told me it was an easy fix, they needed to put some dryers and fans under the home to dry it out. He asked me for the insurgence claim number, I hesitated as something seamed fishy, I told Ben I wanted an estimate first. I noticed Ben had not looked under the home but he was going to write an estimate for the damage repair and the drying of the underneath of the home. I waivered and Ben then told me he would build up the drying bill so I could get some money back from the ins co. I asked Ben to send me the estimate so I could make the decision on who to use. 5 days later still no estimate, so I got some one else who gave me an estimate for the drying on the spot. No problems, I have informed my insurance co of his business practice. When I contacted this company to find out what happened to this Tech, I was informed he is the owner!!!!! I informed them I went with someone else, some one HONEST ! Ben is the owner, what a company. read more

My water softener basically imploded. While I was on vacation. Out of country. For two weeks. "The worst timing" My friend I had checking on the house informed me of the bad news. A close friend recommended Drylux. I must preface this by stating I have security concerns because I grow herbs of a medicinal nature in my residence. The professionals at Drylux put me at ease. They were great about telling me exactly who would be at my house and when. They were able to complete the dry out quickly and efficiently so I didn't have to deal with as many mold issues. They were great about understanding that I try to maintain a specific climate and humidity in the house and were able to work within the parameters requested. They would send me pictures of the work and progress while maintaining discretion. I have security cameras outside my house when I reviewed them, I watched as the professionals were sure to resecure the doors and gates after themselves even for short trips to thier vehicle.I would absolutely recommend drylux to anyone! read more

The crew did a great job of drying out our water leak, and worked us into their busy schedule. Great guys, great job. Their sister company is Hyperbuilt. The reason for my two stars is their foreman/project manager Scott Sezate (not sure if the last name is correct) kept trying to scam me out of money. He oversees both company crews I believe. If I were more naive I would have paid. After I had already paid what was owed to the company (that my insurance paid for), he would call me and pull out his calculator and start crunching numbers in a weird, intentionally confusing way, and come up with $1200-$1400 that he wanted me to pay. No official bill, just a phone call. I kept telling him to talk to the insurance company if they weren't settled. My insurance company basically said no, whatever he was trying to charge me for, was something they had to cover themselves and why they're supposed to have their own insurance (extra damage or something). I wonder how many people this has worked on. read more

Last night, my Sister and brother in-law felt a date night was overdue and Decided it was about time they had an evening to themselves. Normally in a situation like this, my mother is the go-to babysitter. Conveniently enough for her and my father, they had just gotten on a 7 hour flight to Hawaii, subsequently leaving me to fend for myself against my 4 year old monster child nephew and new born niece. Long story short, by the time I figured out how to change the diaper of a hysterically crying infant, Thing 1 had managed to clog the toilet up. I nearly passed out when I saw toilet water overflowing up to my nephews knees. I called 3 different places but drylux had the best customer service by far! I called them and Yessica, answered immediately. She was very professional and had a team come down within just 10 minutes. The crew was very fast and respectful. They fixed the toilet and cleaned up the disaster I don't know for sure how long it was but it's was stupid fast! Definitely the best read more

DryLux Came out to my house to take care of some water damage, I had my water heater rupture and unfortunately it got 3 areas of my home wet within 1 hr DryLux was out. They helped me understand how insurance worked and within 2 hours there team had arrived to do all the demo work. Chris and Justin were the team that came out and they did an amazing job on my house they were quick and efficient. And got all the wet damage out. The only thing that bothered me at first was the fans they leave but when they came to pick them up 3 days later. It was hilarious because it was so quiet that I ended up buying a fan to sustain the white noise the machines made The other thing I was worried about is when I saw the reviews on DryLux I was a little hesitant, just with mentions of overcharging etc. but come to find there pricing is industry standard. And they accept what insurance pays. So they can't overcharge the insurance. So that put me at ease. Overall I definitely give DryLux 5 stars. read more

I had a water leak in my garage, I called the plumber who I have used in the past and he found that my soft water system had a cracked hose and during the night it leaked and cause water damage, He called Drylux for me and they came out within the hour. Project manager Austin evaluated the situation, checking the water damage and called his team who arrived about an hour later and quickly went to work. Kyle as well evaluated how much water damage there was, took photos and went to work on demo. Kyle did an excellent job removing a 3 drawer bench and cutting out drywall and moving laundry sink, softer water system and was respectful of property. With Rody's help they had the water damaged area cleaned of damaged material and treated for mold. Two more workers brought in fans and such to dry the damage and I think it is called a hydroxyl/ozone generator. So I was very pleased with Kyle's work. They did an excellent job covering and protecting my garage area while they worked. A+ read more
