I decided to stop giving my business to this laundromat/cleaners for a couple of reasons. The…read morefirst time I dropped off some clothing items for dry cleaning (jeans, shorts) I was given a one-week turnaround time. There was no special care required for the jeans other than a request for laundry. It was not during any holiday or shutdown time. How ridiculous!!! Secondly, the laundromat is primarily frequented by minorities which is why I think the owner isn't concerned with repairing so many of the machines that have been unoperable for several months. After frequencing the facility for nearly a year and still seeing the same washers and dryers out of order, I inquired with the manager on duty as to why the machines weren't repaired timely which would speed up the wait time during peak hours? The woman became offensive and lied and stated that one washer cost $50,000 to repair. Now, we all know that is not true and most laundromat facilities rent the machines and there are service agreements in place for repairs. As well, I usually frequent the laundromat at night and the floors and machines are not always clean, despite staff being present but usually in the office with the door closed and on the phone on personal phone calls. The onsite manager was so offended by my timely repair question that she became unruly and unprofessional and then talked about my inquiry to a hispanic employee who decided to pick up the unprofessionalism and challenge me also. At the end of the day, my money matters and I choose to spend it where I receive good customer service and feel valued as a customer.

It wasn't just me. A young student was behind me. The man cut him off as he was explaining his order with a curt "last four digits of your phone number." The man obviously doesn't like the customers. His attitude will drive away business.

The seamstress was a practicing doctor in her own country and has been tailoring since the 10th grade! Fair prices, I got dry cleaning for my jacket and pants with pants alterations for 40$.(for a small company and the attention they provided I think this price is very fair) Please Don't let the outside of the building drive you away from this business. The company used to be called Koretizing cleaners, but the seamstress (who I would stress was a practicing doctor and has been sewing since the 10th grade!) bought the company a few years back and made it her own. Her attention to detail and explanation of her process and how she would alter my suit was beyond any tailor I have been to. One thing I would recommend for the company though is that they get some doors instead of curtains, or curtains that fall to the ground. It would increase the customers sense of privacy.

There is a reason their prices are low...THEY SUCK!!! I took a $200, only-worn-once dress there to…read morebe cleaned, along with my comforter. They told me that the rhinestones on the dress "may pose a problem," but they "mostly thought it would be fine." I said ok, did not sign anything like a waiver, and crossed my fingers. What I did not expect was the fact that they would RUIN MY DRESS! When I went to pick it up, I was shocked to see that no, the rhinestones were not a problem, but the black coloring from the skirt had completely bled onto the cream-colored top of the dress. It looked like it had been dunked in water...like a freaking Easter egg! When I demanded the cost of the dress, as I could never wear it again, the Manager shrugged and said, "All we can do is give you 10 times what you paid to have it cleaned, which was TWO DOLLARS. Grand total I got back: $25. Oh, but let us not forget that when he gave me back my comforter, it still had the same stains on it as before I dropped it off. I asked if they even cleaned it. He smirked and said "Of course." He then tried to CHARGE ME the $19 for NOT cleaning the comforter. So...grand total I got back AFTER he took out the $19 for NOT cleaning the comforter...$5. When I asked where I could send a letter-like to the main offices of Dry Clean City, he said, "There is nothing we can do, and there is no place you can write to...this is it. Besides, it was the clothing manufacturer's fault...write them." When I incredulously asked, "How can it be THEIR fault, YOU cleaned it...??," again he shrugged and said, "It's not our fault, there's nothing we can do about it." This whole scene played out, by the way, with all 5 of the people who worked there staring me down, like it was the Old West, and this was a showdown. So, yeah, I am out $200, my beautiful dress, and my comforter still reeks, but THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS. What is wrong with this picture?? PLEASE do not go there!! They apparently do not know what they are doing, and WHEN they ruin something, they will: A. Be completely unprofessional and unapologetic B. You will have no recourse, because apparently, they have no bosses, and their work ethic sucks. Thanks for listening :0/
