Oh my gosh I love this place! Always fun and they have great live music. The food is so yummy, and the drinks are made well!

I have been coming to Weeki wachee all my life, but have never tried drunken mullet until tonight. My husband and I took our daughter and niece to dinner and the food was outstanding, we had the nacho appetizer, the girls had spaghetti and meatball, and my husband and I had shrimp Alfredo and captains platter. Our food was great but the service was better, I don't remember our servers name but next time we come in a couple weeks we hope to get the same one. The food was good. Service was just ok. The BAD... I ordered a shot of tequila. A runner brought me one and 10 mins later my waitress brought one too. Long story short I ended up not taking the shots and brought them home instead in a cup.. put them in the freezer and guess what..... It was FROZEN the next day!!!! But wait... Liquor doesn't freeze!!!!! Yup watered down liquor I guess the 2 shots I got equal 1 anyways. The sign says "Warm Beer Lousy Food" well now they can add "Watered Down Drinks" to that. read more

This place came highly recommended but unfortunately, aside from the supersweet waitress who was helpful and quick, we left entirely unimpressed. Portions were unexpectedly flavorless and surprisingly small: the Captain's platter is more of a Captain's plate with a surprisingly small amount of fries, 2 shrimp, 3 small scallops, and a single fish filet, and the order of babyback ribs was maybe a third of a rack with a handful of fries. The Cole slaw, a staple item in Florida, lacked any seasoning or dressing, and the Macho Nachos lacked mucho flavor (unseasoned ground beef) despite looking good and fresh but also came with a side of 5-day old sour cream. I'm a lightweight when it comes to alcohol and I'm pretty certain there wasn't any tequila in my margarita either. It's a fun place for a beer and pizza while watching a game or listening to a local band and the outdoor seating is neat so maybe not all is lost. read more

When asked to turn it down a little he basically said it's my place and can do what he wants. This guy was a rude and pompous a**. We told him we would just pay are check and go watch it someplace else. He said good luck finding a place. When leaving I said we would never be back and he said thank you. We had just arrived and never been there and was not sure where to go to order a drink and we found a chair to sit and get a drink but we were politely waiting for the current person to leave and then all of a sudden skinny Ron Jeremy yelled at us for being in the way. Take the bandana off it's squeezing your head and ability to see what situation is going on AND SERVE YOUR GUESTS. Will not return and make sure none of our friends do either. read more

Witnessed one owner rudely address a staff member in front of customers, while drinking at the bar. The atmosphere is of a free for fall lack of management and concern for patrons. I had the fish platter and the fish was wonderful. My side was the "buttered noodles " -they had pesto on them (it was good, but I would have liked to have known that when I placed my order). My husband ordered the half rack of ribs. Sadly, they were not done well. They were over-cooked and looked sad. He said the more he ate, the worse they got. The waitress was nice, but did not make any notes for the chef when I told her I had a soy allergy. Our service was nice though and she even refilled my water twice before being asked. As you can see from my profile we love to try new small business locally owned establishments so today we stopped into the drunken mullet. We were so thrilled about the ambience in this place it was super cool... It was very clean and you felt welcome right away. Our server Mario did a fantastic job. We started out with the nachos and my gosh we just could not stop eating them they were so good and not like some nachos you know? These nachos had tons of ingredients on every single chips and were sooo good. We also ordered the muffaletta to split which was amazing and we opted for the onion petals as well as the french fries which were really really really good too. We also ordered shrimp and scallop scampi and this is why there's only four stars... The shrimp was good the seasoning on the dish was amazing the pasta it was cooked perfectly however the scallops... Not real sure they were a little rubbery so we probably won't order that again.... it may have been a fluke not sure but as a scallop connoisseur they just did not meet the expectation! I've never knew an owner of a bar John could be so rude to kick us out we have all the proper paperwork on our service dog and he would not accept it was pouring down rain also and made us leave we will never be back to this place again we go to every restaurant in Hernando Beach and he's the only one to have a problem with our service dog it's an out door bar I've never met a more rude owner our dog is our child and has all papers to prove he's a service dog this should be illegal to kick us out no worries we won't be back read more

So my co-worker gets their prime rib special on Wednesday nights and one day (about 2 months ago) brought me one to-go so I could taste the magic for myself. I was impressed at how juicy and buttery it was so we made a date to go in person. We were here two weeks ago on a Wednesday of course, and we were both disappointed in the quality of meat. I had asked for mine as rare as it could possibly be and my co-worker asked for it with the dry rub crusted on it. They came out very chewy and his was not crusted and mine was medium well. We both had two drinks and the bill came to $50 something. Not worth it in my opinion. read more

We were looking for a place to stop and have a snack of cold beer and peel and eat shrimp. So happy we chose the Drunken Mullet!! What a cute place to sit and enjoy the beautiful Florida sun!! We did order exactly what we wanted a bucket of cold beer and peel and eat shrimp. The only disappointment was when we saw we had only one more shrimp in the basket.
