A little expensive but hey they did a great job and found a part I could not find great job

Service was horrible took 2 weeks for a simple driveshaft even though he said 2 days ! On top of that it cost the same as a brand new one with all the joints and imput shaft. All he was doing to mine is extending it 2 inches.... Then he quoted a price and when I picked up he wanted 20 dollars more. I will never and I will tell you no one I know will use this place again read more

Great experience with the shop -- and especially with Mike. Brought our 2000 Dodge van in because of steering wheel vibration and loud thumping in rear end. Mike first diagnosed the drive shaft needing work. After a test drive, he thought it could be the differential motor mounts. After it was on the rack, the differential issue was ruled out, the drive shaft's two U-joints were replaced and then balanced. All is well. Critical points: 1. Mike was transparent with his diagnosis. 2. He could have stuck with a differential problem, but he thought it, was honest, and said it was only drive shaft. 3. Stayed in touch, and explained things slowly and carefully for a novice All around a good experience. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! Do not waste your time or money. I spent $1200 dollars to get something replaced that didn't need replacing and the owner wanted to charge me more to replace the other. SCAM. On top of that they drained my battery and now I have to spend 200 more dollars. All the owner had to say is "Maybe this shop isn't for you". Very unfortunate. read more

if I could give a 0 star I would, act fake, they said 1 week turnaround would be the longest, said it'd be ready, then turned into over a month still no update, they inspected my car and messed it up to wear I couldn't drive my car, terrible quality work, left my exhaust hanging freely. I would recommend never to take your cars here. BE WARNED. read more

Very honest and communicative establishment. Mike is very helpful and staff is kind. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to service their driveshaft. read more

I pulled my driveshaft to install my transmission, and my neighbor suggested that I get my driveshaft balanced. After telling me about a shop in Monrovia, I googled and accidently went to the wrong driveshaft spot. After my visit, I'm glad I did. Mike told me about the old Mercedes Benz driveshafts and made me a complete custom one after giving me his professional opinion that would not fix it entirely, they even installed my transmission on my W123 for a reasonable price, but also had the competence to install it, as not many mechanics (even independent Mercedes Benz mechanics) work on my type of car anymore. My car runs and idles smooth! They turned me into a big fan and they run an honest shop. read more

I was referred this driveshaft shop by a friend and follow off-roader. I went in for a simple driveshaft extension due to moving my axle shackles further out on my truck. Dropped off my shaft February 13 of 2018 and was told 2-3 day turn around. Was quoted $224 over the phone and once I dropped it off to Abraham I was contacted over phone price was now $400. 10 days later my driveshaft was not ready and they were unable to balance. Due to my time crunch I had to order a new shaft from another store in Corona for $600 which was built in 2 days. Abraham called me back and said no balance and I can pick up my parts for $250 which was junk and unusable. Once I picked up driveshaft from shop in Corona, Abraham calls me back late February and says they balanced it and it was ready. 2-3 day job turned into over 18 days with a rollercoaster of it cannot be balanced, possibly missing my deadline to my trip to ohh by the way it is ready. This place is terrible, Abraham did not know anything, not even how to measure a shaft for build. Never go here unless u have time for a 30 day build. They never called me and offered a discount on my shaft due to there terrible customer service. read more

Drive Shaft Specialist - Auto Repair Near Me - Monrovia, California

Drive Shaft Specialist - Took care of my drive shaft problems! Awesome work here - Auto Repair Near Me - Monrovia, California

Don't waste your time! Bad experience! I called and asked for a quote over the phone, said the work would take a day and no problem, he would be able to repair my drive shaft. So I drop off my drive shaft on a Thursday, next day I call back to see if it's ready, they tell me they could get the correct u joints so he'd have to keep it over the weekend. So I go to pick it up Monday, and it turns out he could balance the drive shaft because he didn't have the correct adapter for my application. He couldn't balance it, wouldn't give me a warranty on his labor, says I should go to another shop to get it balanced. What a waste of time!!! The other shop was top notch! I can't recommend this shop! He wasted my time! read more

Randy sold the business. Stay away. New owner doesn't care about customers. I am Jimmy Jue from Jue Motors. A "AAA" approved shop in Covina. They don't care about anything. Keep giving excuses. Zero on communication, zero on service, zero on promises, zero on answering phones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This place should just stay closed. First they say they're 1 day behind on Tuesday, now here is Friday and still no driveshaft. Claudia now tells me they had a hard time with the driveshaft and took it to Whittier. I didn't authorized them to take it to someone else. They should have let me know. I'm totally dis-satisfied with everything. Wouldn't trust you guys with a potato gun!!!! read more

Our business started taking driveshafts here in 1984 (early 80's) and we have taken many here and had the same quality results. THIS MAN DOES EXCELLENT HONEST WORK for half the price you would pay anywhere else. The bad reviews on this business are from IDIOTS who shouldn't have been working on cars in the first place. I just dropped off a drivehshaft yesterday and told him to take his time and he called me today to pick it up. NOBODY works harder and provides you with quality. read more

Went to Randy with my boyfriend because his shaft to his '98 Toyota Tacoma needed a replacement part. Randy then told us the drive shaft altogether needed repair and that he could fix it. However, he gave us advice that was much appreciate. He told us to go to the junk yards, and find it there and he'll put in the part it needed. We ended up following his advice which saved us money and he gave an analogy to realizing it was more cost effective in the long run. He only charged $35 to put it in the piece and balance it out. If anyone needs any drive shaft repair, we'll definitely recommend Randy. read more

Never review anyone cause frankly yelp is a place for a bunch of whiners that can't man up and hash stuff out in person, but I gotta say Drive Shaft Specialist know their stuff. I am a bit of a drive a way but Randy let me ship him my driveshaft with my contact info inside and he rebuilt the entire shaft and even replaced my double cardan cause it was worn out for a better one for FREE. Who does that? I made the trek a few days later Saturday morning to Azuza to pick it up and boom all new dana spicer joints and the free cardan piece all rebuilt and rebalanced for $75 out the door! Been in my off road truck now for years with zero issues, Thanks Randy! read more

Drive Shaft Specialist - Welds look like machine welds! Great craftsman this man is. - Auto Repair Near Me - Monrovia, California

Terrible service quoted me 85 dollars to cut 1inch off my driveshaft . 1 week later I call they told me they had lost my info it would be ready in a couple of days, another week later it was finally ready . He told me it would cost $200 and change . I told him he quoted $85 dollars his response was "I tell everyone on the phone that and that balancing and welding was extra" I asked why I wasn't told this in the 1st place. I was so angry that this guy was ripping me off. When I got there the owner told me just pay me the original $85, I tried to pay him the $200 telling him if he is so desperate he needs to rip people off take it, but now he didn't want it. They replaced my brand new u-joints with different u-joints and wrong size on rear, I even think the rear shaft yoke is different because it's not the 1350 size I had on it. The driveshaft was not balanced and welded half-assed/crooked. He had nerve to asked if I wanted receipt! The only place this driveshaft is going is into the trash. Basically, don't waste your time and money here. read more

I don't like writing bad reviews and don't think I've ever written one this bad before, but this guy deserves it. It seams some people have had good results, but my experience is not the same. I had provided u-joints to be replaced for a classic German car. Standard type u-joints, just replace them the way you take them out and rebalance the shaft. Well, apparently they didn't look at what they took out and did not replace one of the u-joints the same way taken out. The car has a sealed undercarriage, so when the zerk fitting is on the wrong side, you can't get access it to grease it. I didn't realize originally, but did pull the rear end out later so I could have it fixed. I took the shaft back this last weekend and received nothing but excuses about correcting their error. In as much as even the zerk fitting they put in came out, because he didn't have an zerk fitting in his little plastic tray, the best I got from him (should have got his name) "what do you want me to do, I don't have a fitting that works". I said I wanted him to fix what he did in error, is that too much to ask? His reply was "the u-joints don't have to be greased that often, just pull the shaft out in 75 thousand miles and grease it then". Obviously they didn't want to fix their mistake. He did say that if he did it, the shaft would have to be rebalanced and he couldn't do anything he couldn't charge for. REALLY? Charge me for your mistake? Very rude person....kind of gave me the look of deer in headlights. I've never witnessed a person with more lack of interest to help a customer or do the right thing. It was Saturday, maybe he started his holiday a little early. read more
