Personally, I recommend doing the at home study because they'll send you home with the book to…read morestudy along with the test packet that provides you with the "practice test answers" ( where each practice question will be categorized by chapter) as well as the actual exam which is 25 questions ( need at least minimum 18 questions to pass ) but to simplify how this will work is basically what i did was I would read each question while reading the book and answer as i read if that makes sense for example on the practice question. I believe 2-3 questions. Will be categorized under each chapter and as i read the chapter I'd match the questions to get my answer because some questions will be tricky questions And so forth with the exam. Instead of reading the entire book first then doing the packet after. It saves time plus it's super easy. I paid 55$

Which was an awesome touch if you are someone like me waiting until the last minute to do everything. You receive emails of receipt from the courses. You can register (with all the ticket information) and you do have to input some personal information just to make sure you are you. And you can start your courses immediately or log out to start or go back when you want. I do suggest to TAKE YOUR TIME. It does notice how quickly you move through the process.

In my case, he wanted me to promptly take off from a stop sign as soon as I can to a stop (assuming it was clear, of course). If you wish for a cheap driving school, this school will do $60 per 2-hr session but you won't learn as much and you will probably get a lot of errors during the driving test. LONG VERSION: The overview of my scenario: I took two 2-hour driving sessions with 'Unical Driving School' and a 1-hour driving session + DMV servicing with another school called 'Viva Driving School'. 4 NOV 2013: Called to schedule my appointment, and the receptionist who I talked to wasn't rude, but didn't explain to me much about their programs either. All she said was "$60 for 2 hours". I made an appointment anyway because it was VERY cheap compared to other schools. 6 NOV 2013: It was the day of my appointment. The instructor was supposed to be here at 1:45pm, but he (Edward Wu) came 10 minutes late. He was very nice, so I decided not to mark him for being late. I told him it was my first time driving, so he drove around for 15 minutes, but he didn't really teach me anything while he was driving. It was my turn to drive, and I did "pretty well for a first time driver" (in the words of Mr. Wu). We drove around Monterey Park, and occasionally, he would tell me to slow down when no cars were around, and then tell me to speed up when cars started to line up behind me. It got pretty annoying. Occasionally, he would go on his phone and not really pay attention to how I was driving. At the end of the lesson, he wanted me to schedule another appointment, and I did it (which I knew I would regret) because I felt like I didn't really learn anything. 7 NOV 2013: This time, he was 20 minutes late... minus one star. He taught me how to change lanes, which was great, but he did the same thing as he did yesterday (telling me to slow down and speed up)... minus another star. That's all he taught me for that day... Same thing as yesterday, he was on his cellphone, plus, he would occasionally yawn. He wanted me to schedule another appointment, and that's when I felt that he was doing that on purpose to make more money. 12 NOV 2013: This was the day I had my DMV driving test. I decided to try 'Viva Driving School' in Pasadena because they had a special package where they do DMV Servicing (they take you to the DMV at the day of your test, and let you use their car to take the test) plus a 1-hr driving session prior to the test. They taught me a lot about what was expected on the test, things that weren't discussed from 'Unical Driving School'... minus TWO stars. I learned WAY more in 1 hour with 'Viva Driving School' than I did in 4 hours with this school.

He basically had her drive around for each session but did not actually try to teach her any skills that would help her become a competent driver and pass the driver's test. He even gave her wrong information and said she should not use hand over hand when turning the steering wheel during a turn. How do we know he didn't teach her anything? We took her out driving after she finished her 6 hours of training. We asked her questions about 'SMOG' (signal, mirror, over the shoulder, go) and other basic things about steering, braking, etc and nothing was reviewed. Very disappointed as we are paying for this service for them to teach my child skills to pass her test.

My ex and I were forced to sit through several other cases before us. The one right before ours was not very pretty. Judge Sauceda handled it well. Such wretched lawyers she had to deal with! The court system for Los Angeles is honestly a bit chaotic at first, but it is mainly because of the populous county. I had more questions after speaking with the judge so I called the hotline since my ex and I are representing ourselves... the guy I finally reached was friendly, but said an attorney would reach out to me no later than 3:30 pm. It is now 7:50 pm. I'm not hopeful for a callback tomorrow either. Parking was free but usually quite a long walk to the courthouse. Not a fan of the clerk's office at all here. I went there several times to file papers within the past five years and they were so rude to me and all other patrons around me each time. Despicable me, despicable me. After filing whatever additional paperwork needed, a year and a half later, they are barely reviewing my initial Petition for Divorce! Are you kidding me...A YEAR AND A HALF!! And again the Self-Help Center are just a bunch of Rude, snobby "Law Clerks" working there! They were no help, so THANK GOD we got a nice woman at the Clerks office that helped us out! If you have to file anything for Family Law, I suggest going to a different courthouse! Whittier needs to close that Courthouse...again...WHITTIER COURTHOUSE IS A JOKE!!!
