It's been long overdue, but I'm finally giving my review. I did pass my driving test, but learning with these instructors is such a pain. Expect a lot of pit stops for the restroom, no shows, and constant eating in the car. I can understand if they're at the DMV and need a quick lunch break while I'm in the car. When I was at the DMV, the instructor proceeded to review my turn signals, emergency lights, hand signals, horn, etc, I went to reach for the horn and the instructor (different instructor from my driving lessons) just slaps my hand and say "just show don't touch" like are you serious??? Don't touch me... I shouldn't have to tell you that. I honestly just dealt with it because I knew if I passed it would be the last time I'd see him. Didn't want to give them any problems, just wanted to get it over with. Even if I press the horn in the parking lot why the hell are you slapping my hand? I wouldn't recommend this place unless you are really desperate. I'm giving this place a two star because it inevitably help me pass driving exam.

Fun experience driving with George. You get to learn what's necessary for you not only to pass the test but also become a safe driver.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - GRACE DRIVING SCHOOL…read more I am truly grateful for my experience with Grace Driving School. From the moment I learned they were family-owned and had female driving instructors, I already felt confident I was making the right choice. The moment I read all the wonderful reviews--especially about how fantastic they are with younger drivers--I made an immediate decision to go with them. I didn't even bother looking for alternatives, and I'm so glad I didn't. What I loved most is their simplified, non-overwhelming teaching techniques. They know exactly how to meet you where you are. Mariam- the adopted Leo in particular, is incredibly systematic and intuitive. She adjusts the learning style based on what works best for you. I'm a visual learner, and she would literally draw things out so I could clearly understand the concepts. That meant so much to me. And Manuel, The Zen Master -- hands down the most patient man I've ever encountered... and that's with me driving! His calm demeanor, steady guidance, and genuine care make you feel safe, supported, and capable. They set you up for success, step by step. I am truly honored to have been one of their students. The experience was absolutely worth it, and I can't recommend them enough. Humbled to be their student. If you're looking for driving lessons, don't think twice--enroll with Grace Driving School. You will be in the best hands.

I had two of the best driving instructors, Jose and Belica--huge shoutout to both of them! They were incredibly patient, and as someone who was honestly very nervous to drive for the first time, they made me feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel. If you're a first-time driver, I highly recommend taking lessons with Belica. She's amazing and walks you through everything step by step until you feel fully ready to drive on your own. I also passed my driving test thanks to them! And another shoutout to Gabi, the sweetest receptionist, who makes sure every driving lesson and DMV test is scheduled perfectly and stress-free. I truly can't express how appreciative I am of Jose and Belica for their patience, encouragement, and support throughout the entire process. They made such a nerve-wracking experience feel manageable and I'm so grateful for everything they did to help me succeed.

He also wasn't even a good instructor, we would get to a dead end and I'd have to ask him to turn left or right while being fully stopped. He reached over and adjusted my wheel slightly while on a residential street approximately 5 times without saying a word. I got annoyed and I asked him, "am I driving too close to the other cars?" to which he replied "yes." You're supposed to tell me that! I have reason to believe that it was partially to invade my space especially due to the flirty comments. I've never had another instructor behave this way before, tried him out and was disappointed. I asked for a refund for just that lesson after I had switched to another instructor for my remaining 4 hours I had prepaid as part of the package. I did this to not lose any more money to this company, and another instructor was sufficient for the remaining lessons. When I asked for one for ONLY the lesson with Nathaniel (which they should have offered in the first place), they offered me a complimentary lesson with another instructor instead, stating that they "understood my frustration" and would "have a conversation with him." This completely dodges accountability. This service is not what I paid for and I will be having to go out of my way to file a charge dispute with my bank to make things right. I also reported him to the DMV already online. When I posted about the school and reporting the school to the DMV on my Instagram account, one of my old coworkers reached out to me. She's 18. I didn't even mention his name in my post, yet she had asked me "did you get Nathaniel?". I was like "how the heck did you know?" And apparently he had harassed her too. He thought she was underage and still proceeded to make inappropriate comments about her height. Take this review as a warning. This man shouldn't be teaching driving to anybody ESPECIALLY high schoolers because he is abusing his position of power to harass young girls and women. They responded to this review alerting me that they were advised to sue. As a response, I have attached the email, which includes no personal information about anyone whatsoever, in which they acknowledged that his behavior was unacceptable, not "small talk." They also included in their public response to my review that "lessons are 2 hours long and can be stopped at any time if students feel uncomfortable." This sentence honestly really frustrated me because I feel that it inappropriately shifts the responsibility onto me, a new driver who did not know where we even were on the road or how to get back to the school, to tell a man 3 times my size and double my age while alone in the car with him and reliant on his guidance, that I feel uncomfortable and wish to stop the lesson and head back. I consider this victim blaming. The fact that I reached out the day after and did everything I could to inform them of his behavior and state that I was no longer comfortable working with him after the lesson should have been enough for them to absolve me of blame from this situation. Their response speaks for itself. I stand by my review and encourage fellow Yelpers to always share their experiences, good or bad.

He kept saying little gas, more gas, no gas within the same 5 seconds, giving confusing signals, and blaming me adding gas while my foot was not even on the padel... He never actually looked at what ur doing but just arrogantly thinking he knows you the best. When you asked him what mistake you made and how to fix the problem, he never able to teach u the right way. Instead he'll just say, ' just take more lessons and you'll be better.' YEAH YOU ARE RIGHT BUT I DON'T EXPECT TO LEARN NOTHING AFTER CLASS... and I really hated him kept saying he will bring me to good places around here, I was like 'I don't even care about the tourist spots I just want to learn how to drive. Who cares if the place is rich or no?' Appreciate him took me around but he's gone too over for real. One more thing is when we were on the street, the speed limit was like 35mph but he kept asking me to drive at 20 something... when I speed to around 30+ he'll start judging. But I knew the DMV is gonna fail you if you drive too slow... the fact that when I was having lessons with another driving school, the instructor told me I was driving too slow on a 35 street with just 27-29 speed but this Zoren always say I can't drive fast... I really got pissed by him because he said like he's the only one who knows how to drive in the entire world, really arrogant. The last lesson I told him I am not taking class with him anymore cause I'll change to another teaching school and he just told me I AM NOT GONNA PASS MY TEST CAUSE I DONT DRIVE WELL the fact turned out I passed my test with only three mistakes proves I drive okay even I start from zero. Unprofessional, Disorganized, and Completely Unaccountable…read more This company is an absolute disaster. I had a very important DMV appointment, and their office somehow failed to log it altogether -- even though they had no problem taking my payment right away. When I called to confirm the appointment, I was told there was no record of it. Instead of owning up to their mistake, Kenya gave me attitude and offered nothing useful except to "reschedule." The issue was entirely on their end, yet she acted like she was doing me a favor. I asked to speak to Edward, the so-called manager, and of course, he couldn't be bothered to talk to me. He had his secretary handle it instead -- who clearly had no authority and offered a bunch of useless, unacceptable suggestions that didn't help at all. I eventually had to resolve the situation myself -- something they should have handled from the start. Luckily, there happened to be another driver at the DMV at the time, or I would've been completely out of luck. This entire operation is unprofessional from top to bottom. They lack communication, accountability, and basic customer service skills. Kenya was rude, Edward hid behind his staff, and nobody took responsibility for their own mistake. If your appointment actually matters, do NOT trust this business. They will take your money, mess up your schedule, and then blame you for their incompetence. I honestly have no idea how they're still in business. If I could put zero stars I would.

I'm glad for this as that is how I signed up for a free 2-hour introductory class to coding. The class covered HTML and CSS and was designed to just a quick intro to see if you would be interested in taking a full class. Still I was surprised how much I learned in just a free intro course. Our instructor Allie covered a ton of theory so we understood the big picture and how the different developer languages (HTML, CSS and Javascript) played different roles. Much of the class was her guiding us through actually creating a mock webpage by immediately applying the coding principles and info she taught. I highly recommend bringing your computer for the hands-on portion. Also, Allie listed additional resources for us to explore on our own time, and we were promised the slide deck after. Being totally new to coding, I was able to take what I learned from the intro class and actually fix an issue THE NEXT DAY on the website that I manage for work! I rely on website templates but don't understand the HTML and CSS behind it so I was able to override the template that doesn't even allow me to change font attributes on hyperlinked text. Once you sign up for a class they send you promo emails with discounts, so I will probably look into taking a more full class. TIP: this is located right in the heart of Little Tokyo so there is plenty of sushi, ramen and snack options available before or after going to class here.

If you're one who can't stick to learning on your own online, face-to-face instruction is the way to go. 2. I also like that they offer a wide variety of topics from web development and digital marketing to project management, sales pitching, and communication skills. 3. The instructors I've had so far have been knowledgeable and nice. 4. They have many free talks in the evenings, sometimes even with free nibbles. I attended one on the art of sales pitching. I think it was called something like "How to Sell Anything to Anyone." The speaker was excellent, and he gave really good tips. 5. The DTLA location has convenient parking ($5 evenings and wknds) at Joe's Garage a few doors down. I also like that you can enjoy the many Little Tokyo restaurants before or after class :) Cons: 1. Cost. If you want to take their multi-day courses, expect to pay $$$. That's what you gotta expect for in-person classes from a private school. I'd love to take more classes, but I can't be spending more thousands of dollars. Yes, they have a payment plan, but you still gotta pay them back. 2. If you're looking to start a new career, don't expect to be "career ready" after you've spent all that money. The classes don't go into much depth. They're more of an overview, just enough to get you started. Then comes the hard part - studying on your own by following all the blogs and video content out there. THAT takes discipline, and nobody can help you there. I wish knowledge could just be implanted in my brain without my having to exert effort. Just being honest. 3. They never answer the phone. The only way to get a response is via email. If you're on your way to an evening or weekend class and need to reach someone, you won't get a response if it's outside normal business hours. Conclusion: If you're disciplined and highly motivated, save your money and take advantage of the overwhelming number of free resources online. But if you're a lazy a-hole like me and you're willing to spend some serious money, take a GA course to at least get you started and pointed in the right direction.
