It's been long overdue, but I'm finally giving my review. I did pass my driving test, but learning with these instructors is such a pain. Expect a lot of pit stops for the restroom, no shows, and constant eating in the car. I can understand if they're at the DMV and need a quick lunch break while I'm in the car. When I was at the DMV, the instructor proceeded to review my turn signals, emergency lights, hand signals, horn, etc, I went to reach for the horn and the instructor (different instructor from my driving lessons) just slaps my hand and say "just show don't touch" like are you serious??? Don't touch me... I shouldn't have to tell you that. I honestly just dealt with it because I knew if I passed it would be the last time I'd see him. Didn't want to give them any problems, just wanted to get it over with. Even if I press the horn in the parking lot why the hell are you slapping my hand? I wouldn't recommend this place unless you are really desperate. I'm giving this place a two star because it inevitably help me pass driving exam.

Fun experience driving with George. You get to learn what's necessary for you not only to pass the test but also become a safe driver.

I had always been really nervous about getting behind the wheel but Luis was incredibly patient and supportive and he made the lessons enjoyable. He made sure I felt comfortable at every step, which made a huge difference in building my confidence. The staff at the school, including the secretary, were all super nice as well and really flexible with scheduling my lessons, which I appreciated since I have a pretty busy schedule. The pricing was very reasonable, especially for the quality of instruction I received. I passed my driving test on the first try! If you're someone who's been putting off driving because of fear or nerves, I highly recommend Abel's Driving School. They truly made a difference for me, and I'm so grateful !!!

Their online drivers ed program was strait forward and nicely set them up for their permits. They are also solid administratively, setting up appointments quickly and efficiently, as well as providing good reminders and being responsive when we had questions, or changes were needed. For behind the wheel training, we had Miguel teach both of them, and he was so patient and thoughtful and informative. He handled their different temperaments nicely, and after 5 excellent and encouraging lessons at the end of which he did a great run through of the possible drive test circumstances, my sons passed on their first tries. We all could not be happier with how everything went.

He kept saying little gas, more gas, no gas within the same 5 seconds, giving confusing signals, and blaming me adding gas while my foot was not even on the padel... He never actually looked at what ur doing but just arrogantly thinking he knows you the best. When you asked him what mistake you made and how to fix the problem, he never able to teach u the right way. Instead he'll just say, ' just take more lessons and you'll be better.' YEAH YOU ARE RIGHT BUT I DON'T EXPECT TO LEARN NOTHING AFTER CLASS... and I really hated him kept saying he will bring me to good places around here, I was like 'I don't even care about the tourist spots I just want to learn how to drive. Who cares if the place is rich or no?' Appreciate him took me around but he's gone too over for real. One more thing is when we were on the street, the speed limit was like 35mph but he kept asking me to drive at 20 something... when I speed to around 30+ he'll start judging. But I knew the DMV is gonna fail you if you drive too slow... the fact that when I was having lessons with another driving school, the instructor told me I was driving too slow on a 35 street with just 27-29 speed but this Zoren always say I can't drive fast... I really got pissed by him because he said like he's the only one who knows how to drive in the entire world, really arrogant. The last lesson I told him I am not taking class with him anymore cause I'll change to another teaching school and he just told me I AM NOT GONNA PASS MY TEST CAUSE I DONT DRIVE WELL the fact turned out I passed my test with only three mistakes proves I drive okay even I start from zero. But the credit doesn't go to this driving school at all

I enrolled to a different traffic school that year for months and was frustrated because ive been failing my actual driving test. I failed 3 times So my ex bf who is now my hubby enrolled me to a different traffic school nearby his apartment. He said he's one of the best.. Sooooo I met Zoren who was my driving instructor and only taught me for 2 hours before my actual driving test, he's so nice and funny because he's Armenian and knows how to speak a little bit of Tagalog. Anyway, after my session with him, he went with me and drove to Glendale DMV for my actual test, he's a bit popular there because driving examiners knows him. Lol! And I remember the examiner told me i was lucky that Zoren was my instructor. After my test, finally, i passed Thanks to Chase Driving School

I had a very important DMV appointment, and their office somehow failed to log it altogether -- even though they had no problem taking my payment right away. When I called to confirm the appointment, I was told there was no record of it. Instead of owning up to their mistake, Kenya gave me attitude and offered nothing useful except to "reschedule." The issue was entirely on their end, yet she acted like she was doing me a favor. I asked to speak to Edward, the so-called manager, and of course, he couldn't be bothered to talk to me. He had his secretary handle it instead -- who clearly had no authority and offered a bunch of useless, unacceptable suggestions that didn't help at all. I eventually had to resolve the situation myself -- something they should have handled from the start. Luckily, there happened to be another driver at the DMV at the time, or I would've been completely out of luck. This entire operation is unprofessional from top to bottom. They lack communication, accountability, and basic customer service skills. Kenya was rude, Edward hid behind his staff, and nobody took responsibility for their own mistake. If your appointment actually matters, do NOT trust this business. They will take your money, mess up your schedule, and then blame you for their incompetence. I honestly have no idea how they're still in business. If I could put zero stars I would.

I'm glad for this as that is how I signed up for a free 2-hour introductory class to coding. The class covered HTML and CSS and was designed to just a quick intro to see if you would be interested in taking a full class. Still I was surprised how much I learned in just a free intro course. Our instructor Allie covered a ton of theory so we understood the big picture and how the different developer languages (HTML, CSS and Javascript) played different roles. Much of the class was her guiding us through actually creating a mock webpage by immediately applying the coding principles and info she taught. I highly recommend bringing your computer for the hands-on portion. Also, Allie listed additional resources for us to explore on our own time, and we were promised the slide deck after. Being totally new to coding, I was able to take what I learned from the intro class and actually fix an issue THE NEXT DAY on the website that I manage for work! I rely on website templates but don't understand the HTML and CSS behind it so I was able to override the template that doesn't even allow me to change font attributes on hyperlinked text. Once you sign up for a class they send you promo emails with discounts, so I will probably look into taking a more full class. TIP: this is located right in the heart of Little Tokyo so there is plenty of sushi, ramen and snack options available before or after going to class here.

I have mixed feelings about GA…read more Pros: 1. This is one of the few places left where you can get actual, in-person instruction. If you're one who can't stick to learning on your own online, face-to-face instruction is the way to go. 2. I also like that they offer a wide variety of topics from web development and digital marketing to project management, sales pitching, and communication skills. 3. The instructors I've had so far have been knowledgeable and nice. 4. They have many free talks in the evenings, sometimes even with free nibbles. I attended one on the art of sales pitching. I think it was called something like "How to Sell Anything to Anyone." The speaker was excellent, and he gave really good tips. 5. The DTLA location has convenient parking ($5 evenings and wknds) at Joe's Garage a few doors down. I also like that you can enjoy the many Little Tokyo restaurants before or after class :) Cons: 1. Cost. If you want to take their multi-day courses, expect to pay $$$. That's what you gotta expect for in-person classes from a private school. I'd love to take more classes, but I can't be spending more thousands of dollars. Yes, they have a payment plan, but you still gotta pay them back. 2. If you're looking to start a new career, don't expect to be "career ready" after you've spent all that money. The classes don't go into much depth. They're more of an overview, just enough to get you started. Then comes the hard part - studying on your own by following all the blogs and video content out there. THAT takes discipline, and nobody can help you there. I wish knowledge could just be implanted in my brain without my having to exert effort. Just being honest. 3. They never answer the phone. The only way to get a response is via email. If you're on your way to an evening or weekend class and need to reach someone, you won't get a response if it's outside normal business hours. Conclusion: If you're disciplined and highly motivated, save your money and take advantage of the overwhelming number of free resources online. But if you're a lazy a-hole like me and you're willing to spend some serious money, take a GA course to at least get you started and pointed in the right direction.
