I don't suggest signing up for these programs if you are a beginner driver. Im not sure why one would need an advanced driving school anyway but I was told that the program is for more advanced drivers. I do not feel like I got my moneys worth whatsoever. They didn't even teach me how to park. My driver was also quite impatient with me. Responding to Zoraya: I use a different name and I am based in Huntington park! My driver was Alex Diaz and I did the training the first week of June. Mr. Diaz told me that I should've had more practice before signing up and because I was such a beginner that he was unable to teach me everything. Maybe you all should retrain your instructors! I paid for 5 hours plus the test and Mr. Diaz called my mother saying i was not ready for the test, which is fine but this was truly a waste of money!! read more

Came to them when I wanted to get my license. My instructor was Alex and let me just say it was the best investment I've ever made!!! He made me way more confident as a driver (I'm a very anxious person) and help me with things I needed help with. Do not come here to rent a car for your test the service and price was so awful. I'm writing this review years later because of how bad my experience was. First of all the price back then was 300$ probably more now. You get, practice for an hour and a car rental and only ONE TRY. And if you can't make it they charge you a 40$ reschedule fee. Second, the service: My INSTRUCTOR was in the bathroom for 20 minutes of the time I was supposed to be practicing. In practicality I only got about 25 minutes of actual practice. Anyways, I parked my car up front in THEIR parking and they told me to move it. (Again during my practice time) We get into the car, and I've never driven a newer Prius so the car controls were new to me and the instructor did NOT do a good job of explaining the controls even after I asked. He had a very thick accent and when I would ask him to repeat himself he would get loud, rude, and angry. The practice itself was rushed, and he was on his phone taking calls and texting half the time. As well as playing music for himself on the car speakers which was distracting. Every time I made a mistake he would explain very angrily and raise his voice. We take the test I pass, he didn't even give me a ride back. TLDR: In conclusion the instructor was mean, loud, and hard to understand. It's was expensive, it didn't prepare me well or respected the time I had to practice, and they didn't even give me a ride back from the dmv. DO NOT COME HERE SAVE YOURSELF THE ANGER AND MONEY! read more

I passed my driver's test (behind-the-wheel) on my first take in Southern California (City of Bell Gardens)! YOHOOOOO! I would like to express my deep gratitude to ALEX DIAZ!!!! I completed a total of 10 hours of behind-the-wheel driving lessons with him. For someone like me who is quite stubborn and has always been apprehensive about driving, I can confidently say that Alex played such a huge role in my success! First, he is an incredibly thorough and skilled (technical and safety skills) instructor. He would really teach you what you need to know in order to be a safe driver. Theoretically (written), I would say I am an A student. However, the behind-the-wheel aspect was quite petrifying and challenging for me. Alex patiently broke down the basics for me and ensured that I really understood what he was teaching me. His goal was for to build a solid foundation each session. He would immediately correct me when he started seeing me do anything wrong or unsafe. In fact, he would ask me to repeat some routes and maneuvers several times until I get them 100%. Repetition was definitely one of his strategies to ensure I did not keep committing the same mistakes. More importantly, he made sure I understood the rationale why something was wrong/unsafe. Alex emphasized several times that every student driver should establish safe driving habits early in their driving journey. Alex would always verbalize: "Scan, scan, scan. Anticipate, anticipate, anticipate. Always be a safe driver." He is 100% correct on that. At the end of the day, the goal of enrolling in a driving school is NOT only to pass the exam BUT to be a safe driver on the road whether that is scanning, checking rear mirror/side mirrors/blind spots, obeying traffic lights, turning left/right, reversing, parking, or looking out for pedestrian. Second, Alex knew that my anxiety towards driving was real and that it was negatively affecting my desire and ability to drive on the road. With that said, he has creatively changed his teaching style to meet me at my level. He would play soft instrumental music to help me stay calm when driving. I learn better and faster when I am calm. Who does not, right? He would also generously give me positive affirmations here and there for things I demonstrated correctly. My confidence level when it came to driving was 0/10 until I met Alex. My confidence level went up and up after each 2-hour driving session with Alex. In fact, I got to the point when I would be excited to drive, even on days Alex and I would not meet. He encouraged me to practice, practice, and practice. Alex showed me that I am capable of humbly admitting my weaknesses as well as proactively turning those weaknesses into strengths. He taught me to trust in myself and in what I know, which helped me tremendously. One remarkable trait of Alex is the fact that he knows how to listen and he fosters a culture of "open communication," which helped the both of us. I was honest when I felt anxious or frustrated, which he saw not as a flaw but as an opportunity for me to learn and alter my mindset/master my emotions. He did not hesitate to ask questions or mention his observations so we can always be both on the same page. I would have not done it without his guidance and encouragement! If you are learning how to drive (regardless of how old you are), look nowhere else! Schedule sessions with ALEX DIAZ! He is amazing, honest, skilled, and passionate about driving! I found Pacific Driving School through Yelp. My son just received his driver's permit in January and we signed up for the 6 hour driving class. The price offered by Pacific Driving School was good for the sessions. I liked that they split the payments into 3 manageable payments and not a lump sum. It was fairly easy to schedule the driving appointments. My son had two sessions so far and he said the instructor was good and gave him good pointers. The only negative is that the parking lot the school is located in gets very crowded on Saturdays. Overall I would recommend. read more

Very, very appreciative! Coming to Pacific Driving School was the best choice. Upon arrival here my best friend and I were greeted by Alex Diaz who is knowledgeable and professional in driving. I was pleased that he was able to work with my schedule. I have very odd work hours and knowing that even though they open and close at a certain time he was able to accommodate my schedule with his.
