i had an amazing experience with this driving school. my instructor AJ, was very nice and always punctual picking up. he mentioned working for the dmv in the past and had a lot of knowledge about the behind the wheel test requirements. he was patient and always had his attention on my driving!! after our lesson i felt very comfortable and confident driving. AJ also handled booking my appointment once the lessons were completed. I also wanted to mention David (wasnt my instructor but another team member who was extremely nice) very friendly and was eager to help!! AJ was incredible! Super kind and relaxed demeanor. Very patient and insightful with tips and tricks. I was shown various routes that did come in handy at the time of the test. I passed my drivers test with an almost perfect score! Both my kids have taken the 6 hours driver training here. My daughter passed her test on the first try last summer. My son just passed his test this past week. He highly recommends this place. Alexander was great. He was patient and attentive, giving good tips to properly navigate the roads. He knew the Compton area well and helped my son navigate the streets well. My daughter went to the DMV at Torrance and was also impressed with the training. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to practice for the DMV test. It is with the investment. I rented a car from this school for an hour my behind the wheel test. The school sent me unfriendly driver instructor who name was Julia ( slim , tall ,curly hair). Within minutes of driving with him, she knew it wasn't ready. From this time until my test , she kept saying negative words. While driving with her, she used her phone 2 times . She thought it's an emergency called but it was her one of the students. For the second phone call she asked if she could pick up the phone, she didn't ask me the first time I paid 170 to the school to rent a car .When everything is finished, when we check our paper or things . We found one of hers paper in my bag suddenly she said ina surprised voice "O MY GOD" like I stole her paper. As a driver instructor she has to let me know about driving test during the hour I paid for school even I'm not ready for the test,or not her student. She has lot of experience for I'm not .She can teach me some important tips during she was with me but she didn't even I'm not ask her. But I got some tip from her that's I asked her. My son took 2 lessons for a total of 6 hours. He has improved a little. The instructor has a heavy accent (Spanish) and my son found her hard to understand. Also they don't pickup...try another school most of them pick you up and will go on the freeway...this school did not. read more

I appreciate my instructor, what she taught me and how she gave me the opportunity to take the test without an appointment. However, I ended up failing and feel like paying to rent the car for the lesson was a rip off. I spent a total of $520 for 12 hours and another $130 to use the car for the test. I feel they should offer a discount if you pay so much for lessons. There are some schools that give you a package : pay a certain amount and you can use the car for only like $75 or even free! So sad that I wasted $130 and didn't even end up passing. The lessons are worth it just so upset about my wasting of money just to rent the car. read more

The day of my appointment she acted very clueless and told me that the appointment was not for that day and it was my fault that I did not pay attention. I took 2 lessons with Julie. First day was okay. Was a little bothered that she was texting while giving a lesson. The second time however wasn't so pleasant. She was on her phone for about half the time. She was frustrated with me. I mean yes I understand that I'm not an experienced driver. She was acting as if I knew and getting frustrated when I didn't do something correctly. I'm a patient person but by the end of the lesson my patience was starting to wear off. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone in my experience with her. read more

He taught me step by step for key points on how to become a safe and happy driver. i passed my test easy, with only 5 mistakes all thanks to Pino (my siblings also got similar results). I left a review on Gonzalez driving school claiming that it was the worst driving school ever, but here's where I will say things differently. Olympic Driving School is the BEST driving school ever!! Thanks to this school I managed to get my license. Words can not describe how thankful I am for this school. When I made the mistake of hiring an instructor from Gonzalez driving school, I have been a nervous driver since. And I was not a good driver. I was horrible, pathetic. I would tense up and panic every time I would get in the car. My permit was just a month away from expiring, & I really needed my license. So I called this school. They sent Julie, and thanks to her I became a better driver. She taught me things no one has taught me. She pointed out my mistakes, but she never yelled. In 3 day lessons I became a good driver. The bad news is I failed my road test on the first try due to a mistake of mine (road test nerves can really affect you), but the good news is I passed the following week! Both times Julie took me to the dmv. Even though it was expensive, it was worth getting my license. Call this school guys and book your lessons!! Fuck Gonzalez, Olympic is the way to go! read more
