Today I ordered the Peach Green Tea with Milk Foam, but I wouldn't recommend it since it tasted a bit sour. All my friends' drinks tasted amazing. My personal favorite is the Tbaar Green Milk Tea because it's floral and creamy. If you like drinks that are more on the milky side rather than super strong tea, Tbaar is definitely for you. I tried their Passion Butterfly with tea and Grass Jelly. My tastebuds were feasting! I could tell that they used fresh ingredients which was confirmed by one of the owners. The Golden Tiger Sugar with Cheese Foam was rich, creamy and smooth. I definitely recommend! My inner childhood came out when I saw the Waffle Corn Dog on the wall. I haven't seen one of those since my late god mother made them for me as a kid. It comes with a cheese sauce. I'm unsure if there are other condiments. I think this would taste great with kewpie mayo or a sweet mustard. I should've taken one to go! They also sell macaroons displayed on a glass case. We were able to sit on one of the counter tables and enjoy a drink and a snack. It felt so comfortable being there. There were a good number of customers that came for bubble teas to go. I wish I could've stayed longer. Before heading out, we ordered a Mango Fruit Tea and Ube Matcha with Cheese Foam and Coffee Jelly for the long drive home. This visit was well worth it! Tip: if headed south on Summit Street, lookout for the plaza sign or you'll miss it and end up in the intersection where it's too busy to make a left. There's an abundance in parking for all the businesses in the plaza.

Gong Cha in Davis Square stands out in the local boba landscape for reasons beyond just the drinks…read more We walked into a space that is notably larger and more comfortable than most bubble tea spots in the area, with plenty of seating and wifi that makes it easy to settle in for a while rather than treating it as a quick pickup counter. The overall vibe is peaceful enough for a work session or a long conversation without feeling like you are occupying a table you should give up. The drinks hold up well across the menu. The passion fruit green tea is the order most people gravitate toward, refreshing and bright with a natural tartness that works particularly well over ice. The taro milk tea is another reliable pick, creamy and subtly sweet in the way a good taro should be, and the passionfruit yogurt slush is worth trying if you want something more textural and fruit forward. The star boba is a fun alternative to standard pearls with a mild fruity flavor that works well in the lighter tea options, and the herbal jelly is worth specifying if you want a less sweet, more earthy addition to the cup. The staff is consistently warm and genuinely helpful in steering you toward something you will enjoy if you are unsure where to start on the menu. The baristas take recommendations seriously rather than defaulting to generic suggestions, and that kind of engagement makes a difference at a spot you might visit regularly. The space is well kept and the overall energy stays relaxed even when the seating area fills up. For a boba shop in Davis Square that delivers on both quality drinks and a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere, Gong Cha is a standout.

We walked into a cozy space with seating by the windows, a clean interior, and music playing in the background, with a few small touches that made it feel more like a place to hang out rather than just a quick drink stop. The café has a comfortable, unpretentious energy that fits the neighborhood well, and the layout makes it easy to settle in for a bit. The main draw is the drink menu, with a variety of milk teas, fruit teas, smoothies, and slush-style drinks. We found the drinks solid for satisfying a bubble tea craving, but they leaned more on the sweeter side and did not stand out as much compared to some of the stronger boba spots nearby. The flavors were enjoyable, but the drinks felt a little lighter and less rich than expected, with the tea notes not coming through as strongly as we would have liked. That said, the customization options for sweetness and toppings helped tailor the drinks to our preferences. Beyond drinks, Tea-Do also offers a selection of snacks and small meals. Items like the onigiri and takoyaki added more variety than a typical bubble tea shop, making it a better option if you want something to eat with your drink. The shrimp tempura onigiri was a nice choice for a quick bite, with the rice holding together well and the filling adding a good contrast of texture and flavor. The food menu helps give the café more personality and makes it feel like a more complete stop rather than just a place to grab a drink. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere made it a comfortable place to stop by, especially when we wanted somewhere casual to relax for a bit. The staff were welcoming and handled the flow of orders without delays. The space is not designed for large groups, but it works well for studying, catching up, or taking a break while exploring Lowell. The seating area stays comfortable even when the café is busy, and the energy remains low-key throughout the visit. Tea-Do is a decent neighborhood boba spot that does the basics well. The drinks can satisfy a bubble tea craving, but there are other places with stronger flavors and more memorable drinks. The café atmosphere and food options are what make it worth checking out, offering a casual, comfortable stop that feels more like a local hangout than a dedicated bubble tea destination.
