We picked this place while on the road because it was dog friendly,had live music and bbq. We were not disappointed. It's located in a nice area of east Nashville with lots of little restaurants and shops. Staff and service were fast and friendly. Bailey ordered the chicken from the pup menu. The humans share a bbq combo dinner. Pork and chicken were our favorites. Bailey wolfed down the chicken so we assumed she loved it. read more

Food: Although this is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant their signature St. Louis ribs are to die for. The sweet sauce was perfect. The meat falls off the bone just looking at it. Heck, the bones are even edible they are done so well. For sides we tried the hush puppies, which the spicy sauce was good but the puppy was too hard. Might have been left in the fryer just a little long. The Mac n cheese was good. And this also comes with Cole slaw, also good. The waitress was super accommodating and let us split the half slab of ribs because we were having dinner in four hours. Service is great. Numerous employees helped out and asked how things were. Drinks were filled as needed. Friendly. Parking: found a free spot out on the street as mentioned in numerous reviews. We came at almost 2p so this probably helped. Rude on the phone and said they didn't offer what was printed on the website menu. As a visitor from another state I was looking for the Tennessee hospitality however not here even when the manager got on the phone it got worse. I'm sure there are many other place that have fine bbq. They were so short with me and condescending ( the manager) read more

I'm getting ready to leave Nashville but had to stop and find a hole in the wall rib joint and Drifters was absolutely perfect. The Staff service was great and late afternoon was not a busy time so I was served my food quickly. I ordered a 1/2 rack of their St. Louis ribs with a side of coleslaw and baked beans with their home made barb sauce. Every part of the meal was scrumptious, the rib meat fell right off the bone and had wonderful flavor with their sauce. The home made baked beans and slaw were a perfect combo. My desert was a frozen Brushwacker a combo drink with 151 rum, light rum, chocolate and coffee liquor , cream of coconut and milk. Wow it was tasty on this hot afternoon .... Don't expect the restaurant vibe to be five star dining, but the food is amazing. I loved the bbq we had here but the sides need a little work. The sauces were great with the two I tried. Service was friendly. Beer was cold. The parking lot around back is kinda tight and hidden. read more

We sat outside since it was nice out. The band playing was a nice touch! We both got the brisket sandwich. I do wish the sauce was tossed with the brisket, and there was a bit more than just meat in the burger. However, those are just my personal preferences. The service was great! read more

Food was absolutely delicious. Empty plates all around. My waiter, Sean, was just freaking marvelous. I told him I had my Frenchie with me and without asking, Sean provided my little guy a bowl of ice water. Sean went above and beyond as far as service goes. We are visiting from NYC and Sean made us feel VERY comfortable and at home. I had the 'Cue sampler. Pork, chicken and brisket. Delicious. The wife had the pulled pork salad and my aunt the chicken platter. Everything was delicious and we all finished every. Thank you Sean for helping to make this a terrific experience. BBQ was excellent. Large portions. Special the night we were there was smoked sausage, and it met expectations. Subbed hush puppies for the fries. Very good and crispy. The smoked chicken was very flavorable as ky second meat. Not a great beer selection. Outdoor seating available. Live music, but have to admit, he was just OK. Not crowded. Very hidden. As we were driving through Nashville, during lunchtime, we felt obligated to look for a great barbecue restaurant. We were traveling with our dog and based on the suggestions from Yelp, we gave it a try. It was spectacular. It's hidden down an alleyway, but if we just looked, we would've seen the signage. From the moment we stepped in our server, Chas , could not have been nicer. He took care of us with some water, and even offered a little brisket for our dog. I had the combination platter which consist of pork chicken and brisket. I thought the brisket and pork were absolutely stellar and the chicken was just average. The sides also did not disappoint. The ambience food and service were excellent. Totally worthy of five stars. read more

Listen Yelp. I destroyed their food (in a good way). I was so hungry coming from downtown. Coming to Nashville, it is a must to have a plate of BBQ. Glad i was able to look up this place. We wound up finding parking on the street (for free) but the majority of the parking (lots) around here are pay lots. It's situated back from the main road a bit, behind another building, but there's a sign pointing you in the right direction and it looks like there's a few bars and restaurants right across the parking lot. On Sundays all day they do bogo happy hour on beers... count me in. We both ordered BBQ platters and the bbq itself was so tasty, food came out fast, and I loved that it came with 3 sides (small sides, but I like variety). They have a sauce station to select your own, so we tried the Georgia, sweet & spicy, and New Mexico. All were super tasty with a nice kick, but I liked the sweet and spicy most, like I figured I would. The daily side of Mac and cheese was disappointing -- dry and not too flavorful, but slaw was nice and creamy and beans were tasty. Atmosphere is a cool dive bar vibe, and it looks like they have a little dog friendly patio situation, it just wasn't the right weather for it this weekend. We'll be back! read more

Honestly, I'm pretty sure these nachos were the reason we ended up to moving to Nashville. We ended up coming again to visit and now that we live here it's just as amazing. The atmosphere you just can't beat, with the lights, live music, and amazing staff. The corn dogs are completely homemade and all the BBQ sauces are to die for. Never had collard greens until drifters and I'm not sure how to go without them now! Even their fries are better than any other fry out there. Truly top tier. read more

In the cluster of bars and restaurant in Five Points of East Nashville is a Texas style BBQ joint that doesn't disappoint. From having BBQ nachos to actually doing pretty well on their brisket game. What's also fun is the selection of BBQ sauces to please the palate of different regions so all can enjoy. They have 2-4-1 happy hour and a small selection of draft beers and the staff is friendly. If you want to get away from the smoky atmosphere bars, this one is a good escape and there's plenty of ample seating on the patio where they also do live music. I'm a fan of their drifter sandwich if you want to try a catch all. They put pulled pork and brisket topped with cole slaw for your sandwich with fries. Can't beat that if you're hungry. Also their salad serving is huge. Also a great option if you're hungry. It's tucked behind Beyond the Edge but it doesn't disappoint. Makes a fellow Texan happy going here. read more

Drifters has great BBQ! And this is a great feat considering this type of food is hit or miss in Nashville. A large birthday party I was attending decided to eat here after realizing we had no reservations on a Friday night. Woops! But Drifters had some open tables and were able to accommodate our big group quickly. We had to try the BBQ brisket nachos, and they were exceptional! They have a variety of BBQ sauces in bottles on your table, and the sweet and spicy was my favorite. I also had the pulled chicken burrito, and I loved it! Decent salsa and good fillings. I sampled the wings, and they were great too, I like that they use a dry rub on them. Their menu is great, and I had a specialty vodka cocktail that was tasty too! All around a great meal, Drifters will be my stop when I need good BBQ! read more

Luckily it was walking distance from one of the trolley stops (Farmers Market). We came in on a Sunday afternoon. It was busy but we were able find a spot. We started with drinks. We then ordered a falafel sandwich with the waffle fries and a queso dip. The fries and the dip were delicious. The falafel sandwich was also good. The service was quick and we picked up a t-shirt on the way out. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

The museum itself took a good 1-1.5 hours to explore. We started at the top floor to see Dolly's exhibit and Taylor Swift's center...then slowly progressed downstairs. It was cool to see the memorabilia of various famous country artists as we looked around. Now we know why Nashville is the country music capital of the world!

It was like taking a bite of the Sahara Desert. It was so horrible he barely ate half of it, and he isn't someone that has an issue finishing a dish. It was also completely flavorless. My pork was cooked to the perfect temperature but there was not a speck of salt to be found (nor any other seasoning). I was eating a juicy, tasteless piece of meat. The mushroom sauce on top was extremely bland. 9:20 we realize the wine for my husband is never coming and we just want to get the heck out of there and ask for the check. We get the check and imagine our surprise...the artichoke dip is still on the check AND the wine we never received. We just payed the dumb check and left because now it had been 2 hours and we were SO done. $170 for the worst experience we've ever had at a restaurant. TLDR; don't go here. My husband and I purchased movie tickets through Fandango to see the new Toy Story here. I saw on their website that they validate parking for up to four hours in the Nashville East garage, and thank goodness that they do! I couldn't imagine spending any more money on parking after purchasing two movie tickets for nearly $60 (including fees). However, you get what you pay for, as their movie theaters are beautiful and brand new, with fun loveseat-like couch seats and full service dining. Concession prices were pretty standard, and I love that the popcorn is bottomless, so you can get a refill halfway through the movie if you want! I do wish that you could just place the order through the QR code rather than just requesting a server ... it seems like it would flow more smoothly for everyone if that were the case. We also got an Oreo shake with our popcorn, which was utterly delicious! Note that there is no regular concession stand - you must order popcorn and snacks (or a full meal) through a theater server. Regular rules do kind of go out the window with these full service dining theaters. The woman a few seats down from us was shining her flashlight at her menu for the first 15 minutes of the movie, and it was so annoying! She did it periodically throughout the movie as well. I'm not sure what Hooky could do to curtail this, as I'm sure they want people to order food throughout the movie, so I'll just say moviewatcher beware! The couch seats were comfortable, albeit a little awkward. I really wish they reclined! The audio and visuals were great - we opted for the SDX theater, and it did not disappoint. We didn't get a chance to check out any of the other games on-site, or the full bar available, but we did note their awesome happy hour deals. I am sure we'll be back soon!

The only real positive was that it's new and they're keeping it clean. So at least a step up from the sticky floors of every other movie house we've visited in the Nashville area. They were having problems with the HVAC and the entire center was uncomfortably hot. The seating is mostly love seats, large enough for two. But the seats don't recline and they've chosen to use cloth instead of leather. The seats are already not particularly comfortable, and it feels like they'll get old and worn out pretty quickly. Wonder why they went with the cheaper approach. They do offer food and drink service to the movie seats. You scan a QR code that goes through a "check out" process that's actually just requesting a wait person visit and take your order. Pretty unusual and underwhelming for an established chain. The "table" attached to each seat is very small, just enough to hold a drink and a small plate. The menu, which is the same menu provided in the bar, is typical bar food and not designed for eating in a dark theater. There are very few items other than the drinks that you'd be tempted to try in the dark. The front door of Hooky is out to a two lane major downtown street with no access for ride shares to pull over and drop you off or pick you up. Huge oversight, they must imagine all their customers are walk ups or parking in nearby garages. We're a bit spoiled by previously living in areas with iPic theaters, and were hoping Hooky might provide an iPic like experience. It's a small step in that direction, but clearly with a lower budget and a less experienced design team. I expect we may give them one more try, after the place has a chance to burn in and get their rhythm, particularly if there's a combination of a good movie and a reservation at an adjacent restaurant like Ocean Prime. But our expectations are going to be fairly low.

Regal Unlimited is about $25 per month. You can watch as many movies as you want in a day, week, or month. I often take a free day and plan on watching 2-3 movies back to back. Tickets are purchased at the concession stand. I usually go there instead of paying the 0.50 charge for online booking convenience. It's easy and quick when the line isn't long. You may want to bring a light jacket or cardigan because the air conditioning can be cold depending on the day. The screens are crisp, the sound is great, and the reclining leather seats are comfy. The theater is kept clean, even in the bathrooms. There are multiple theaters for viewing which makes it easy to catch almost any movie you want to see and keeps the theater from being overly crowded. I've been able to catch movies here where my friends and I felt like we had the whole theater to ourselves and it was nice. Parking is easy in the free garage steps away from the front door, or you can even park in the massive lots of the mall and surrounding stores/restaurants. They also have a bar area, and a tiny arcade area to enjoy while waiting for your movie. The inside is a bit dated but I've yet to have a bad experience here.

Drifters Tennessee Barbecue was a really pleasant surprise and, so far, serves the best Texas-style brisket I've had in Nashville. As someone who's originally from Texas, I'm admittedly pretty particular about brisket, and this one exceeded my expectations. It was tender, flavorful, and had a great balance of lean meat and rendered fat without becoming overly greasy. I also appreciated that they offer several signature barbecue sauces while still serving meat that's strong enough to stand on its own. The sauces complement the barbecue rather than covering it up, which is exactly how great barbecue should be. For sides, I tried the collard greens, mac and cheese, and hush puppies. The collard greens and mac and cheese were both excellent and easily worthy of ordering again. The hush puppies were the only item that fell a little short for me, as they were slightly dry, though the flavor itself was still good. The service was friendly and efficient, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. One of my favorite touches was having the option to sit outside on the patio and enjoy live music or head indoors for a quieter dining experience. It's a nice balance depending on the kind of evening you're looking for. Overall, Drifters Tennessee Barbecue has earned a spot on my list of barbecue restaurants I'd happily return to. This is the best bar that I have ever been to Best food. Best Value. Best service. Best Atmosphere. Best Happy Hour. Just unbelievable. We stopped there on the way to Bowling Green and made and additional stop on the way back to Nashville Airport at the end of our trip just because it was so good. They even gave us some of their small house BBQ sauce to bring back with us. This place makes me want to move to Nashville. Hailey was our server the first time we went and she went above and beyond (we have a food allergy) to accommodate us. During the second trip our server was Leslie and she was equally hospitable and accommodating. I believe the general manager's name was Marsha. An East Nashville treasure... Drifters has a "Cheers" vibe because the staff knows most customers by name and they make newcomers feel at home immediately. The lovely patio is another reason you'll love Drifters. You can often catch a great live music performance while relaxing on the expansive outdoor decks (spring-fall, weather permitting). Rose sign go up, we were absolutely pumped to have one of our favorite spots coming to our end of town! This location anchors a small plaza and is deceivingly large. Upon entry you walk into the large space that holds the host(ess) stand, waiting area to the left with a few games and cocktail tables, then it opens up to the bar and the main dining area...if you walk through this area and take a hard left it opens up into even more seating...then you hit the door and wander into a delightful two-spaced patio! All the spaces have the M.L. vibe, they did not miss a beat there...but what this location does have that others do not is the large-suspended owl in the dining space leading to the patio. A cool piece for sure! We have no absolute favorites at M.L. as we have sampled our way through the menu across the city. A few go-to's are the chicken nachos and Sgt. Pepper burger, both absolute legends and always delish! I do also enjoy the wings, even though the price of $22 for 12 gives a bit of sticker shock. Recently tried the Brussels and they were tasty as well. Of course, the bar is always on point as well. The taps are flowing and the beers on rotations are always solid. Parking here is plentiful on both sides of the building. As long as you are in and out within 2 hours it is complimentary, but the main lot is a pay lot. Service was great from entry to exit. No issues at all. Overall, super pumped to M.L. in the neighborhood - We will quickly become regulars!
