    One happy camper!
    Will H.

I was skeptical about staying in an "RV Park" for my week off with my kids but upon arrival Mike greeted my with a smile and an attitude that put all my fears to rest. This is not your parents RV Park! It's a campground, it's a resort, it's a breath of fresh air! After hearing Mike's story (and testing his fiber based WiFi speed ) I was soon fantasizing about selling everything back home and moving up here! My 17 year old daughter and 20 year old son had a blast in their RV "Navajo" and asked when we could come back. I was happy as a clam in my room and met some cool neighbors. Do yourself a favor and spend a few days here - it will rekindle your hope and stoke you're dreams!

    Large fire pit area.

They are one of the last" if not " the last family-owned recreational vehicle dealer in my area. I am sure this may hold true for most areas in our country. Owning a recreational vehicle is an investment. While enjoying that investment is a must, "arriving alive" is the top priority! Just when you think you are getting the hang of it you are sharply reminded how much you still do not know & how much still there is to learn. That is why having Jason and a dealer like Western Sky's a true good luck charm. We brought our tailer in to have my furnace serviced. While I was there it was brought to my attention my solar batteries were not installed correctly, as well as a short that was discovered causing the inverter charging system to shut off while charging. (Safety mechanism) To top this all of when my husband was hitching up Jason, because of his wealth of knowledge, and expert eyes noticed parts of our hitch had loosened (how did he notice?) by noticing our weight distribution bars showed signed of wear. Had Jason not caught this what could have happened on any future journey could have been catastrophic, and possibly the end to our travel trailer adventures! I am incredibly thankful to Western Sky's, and to Jason for showing us how to check our hitches integrity frequently & adding this to our safety check list. No adventure is worth having unless you arrive safely and ALIVE! Thank you again Western Sky's for having Jason there for all of us. Sincerely, Brick and Cindy Anderson P.S. I had my solar upgrade installed by another business. Maybe not such a good idea?

Also done basic maintenance repairs that are so helpful being that we leave our trailer at Collins Lake in storage. This past weekend we had a pipe break. He came within the hour and was able to fix it, saved our trip! We have also had numerous friends rent from him and have had a wonderful time! We definitely recommend renting from him if you do not have a rig but want to go camping! If you have a trailer or motorhome and have an issue while you're camping at Collins Lake, definitely give him a buzz! He is our go-to for sure!

Good people making life easy for those who don't have an RV but want to enjoy the RV experience without the HASSLE of setting up. GO HERE. You'll love the ease of not having to setup your own RV (including getting rid of the grey/black tank .. yuck). Good deal too if you look elsewhere to include the gas and daily, it's a great deal. Also the flat cost is for 3 nights so the more nights the better the deal. Love camping, but only if it has air conditioning LOL. We rented the large 27.5 Dutchmen Bunkhouse (we had 4 adults and 5 kids), lol it was a tight fit, but it worked out (1 adult 2 kids on queen, 2 adults on dinnettte bed, 1 teen on the sofa bed, 2 kids on the double bed, 1 adult (lol 5 ft me) on the bunkbed. Our friend rented the Coachmen Cascade which was great for them too (really nice and spacious for a single family). Making the reservation, please be patient, they are good about contacting you hours or the next day. Eric was great to work with and both RVs were perfectly setup in our sites (awning, water, electric, gas). He walked me through the basic setup. We had a minor issue where the gas tank wasn't switched up properly, but Eric was great in coming by the next day to fix it. Please note for Collinslake you will probably have to go to the General Store to get ANY signal. Other minor issue we had was with the oven, lol ask Eric how to use it because we were clueless. They don't include pets in the RV, but you can easily do what my cousins did which is bring your own pet tent (too cute). RockinRV provides on their website their basic policy and what to bring (e.g. bedsheets, rv toilet paper, basic kitchen stuff here) http://rockinrvrentals.com/faqs We got our deposit back the same day we check out.

I looked at the vans available for the dates I wanted and the Zion was just what I was looking for. It was the smaller of the standard sizes of Mercedes vans. That was great because I was slightly apprehensive about driving a larger van. (After driving the Zion, I feel I would be OK with the larger 170 inch wheel base vans.) The rental price was very reasonable considering that the van was essentially my home for three days. The van was well equipped and very comfortable. I enjoyed my three days and showing the van to my friends.

We were able to attend one of their open houses and it became obvious that they do exceptional work. The owners, as well as builders, were all available to speak with and answered a ton of questions. They gave us information on things we didn't even know to ask. We were able to look at and sit in most of the floor plans they offer, really helping us to understand the different options of "furniture" placement. We left the open house feeling confident that we would be making the best choice by going with Scenic Vans. A week later I was able to do a consultation with two of the owners, mocking up different options for van builds. I left that appointment having complete understanding of what we will be paying when we do our build. They are in the process of helping us get the best deal on the van we will do the build in. A conversion van purchase isn't a small purchase. We are in a season of life change, waiting for our retirement date, but can't wait to have new adventures in a van Scenic will build for us. I have no doubt they will do a great job making the perfect van for us. This company has won us over based on craftsmanship and customer service!

Sara and family greeted…read moreus at check-in, gave us the park guidelines and a map to our spot, and we were on our way to fun! We read reviews of other campgrounds, and unwelcoming hosts...we're happy we chose Feather River RV Park! The pride of new ownership really shows, these folks are happy you're a guest, and make you feel welcome! This campground offers TONS of family friendly amenities, like a playground, heated pool, onsite laundry room, showers, small general store, game room, and standards like volleyball, horseshoes and tether ball. We camp in a trailer, and sites offered full RV hookups for a very comparable rate. They offer tent sites and rent charming little cabins too! Together with the amenities, this represents a lot of value for families camping with kids! We played games, swam, rode bikes, explored Graeagle and nearby Lake Davis, toasted marshies...yep, privately owned campground still allows campfires! The only -1 star is for the very close proximity to other campsites, and while we didn't know upon booking that a large number of sites are occupied by year-round campsite tenants...we got a less-than-friendly "greeting" from a neighbor that obviously didn't appreciate new campers with kids or music, or another vehicle, even though we were abiding by park rules on vehicle parking and low music volume. The resident campers seemed cliquey, but we didn't let Grumpy Gus ruin our time, and neither should you! We've decided that when it comes to kids & camping, there's direct correlation between how much fun they're having, and how dirty they get. We call it the "Dirty/Fun Matrix" Well, my kids were covered in dirt (did I mention showers onsite?), never once asked for TV or tablets, there were lots of kids in the campground to play with, and we all had a blast! Come and enjoy this family-owned campground & RV park, let the kids get dirty, and make some memories!

We were in Cabin #2. They told us that the cabins were exactly the same. The first thing that was weird is they took the key to the padlock that was on the door that didn't close snug. We asked for the key, but they said nothing has ever been stolen since they've worked their. We didn't want to take any chances, so we bought our own padlock and locked it when we were away. At first glance the cabin looked clean, but after we un-packed we saw dust bunnies and cobwebs all over. In fact, one was over the bed ready to land on my head. The weather was a little cold at night and there was no heater in our cabin, however, when we were packing up, I went to look in the other cabin #1, and there was a heater and the door closed snug. In addition, the bathroom had cobwebs and dust bunnies as well, but I was happy that it was open 24/7. All and all, we would rate it a 4 out of 10. I suggest that you have your staff clean the facilities on a regular basis, especially before someone stays in the cabins. Thanks!
