Don't drive too fast on CA-89 or you'll miss the tiny campground sign. Don't make the mistake that I did and drive into Clio proper. You'll be turning around headed back to the highway to turn left into this place. Now that that's out of the way... Super clean place with excellent, working utilities. We stayed in a riverside spot and it was so relaxing. Then the weekend comes and it fills up with families having fun, so it gets a little hectic. Still, very relaxing with a small river behind us. This is a great little RV park located on the middle fork of the river and it really gives you a sense of being out in the wilderness. The check-in process is painless. A representative will escort you to your site and will assist you into your spot. They have 200 full hook-up sites to choose from with 30 and 50 amp service. They have a dog park, playground, bocce ball, horseshoes and corn hole. They also have restrooms, showers and laundry. Be sure to have an adequate tow vehicle for this trip. SAFETY ALERT! The management DOES NOT enforce the rules. There is a posted 5MPH speed limit in the park. People -mostly kids- were screaming around on ebikes and regular bikes and scooters. The first night there, I was walking my dog with a 75 year-old friend when a girl of about 10 almost knock my friend down. She had to be going 30MPH! On the same walk another kid almost hit me. I complained to the management the next day, nothing was done. I was almost hit twice the next day and on the third day an unsupervised 4 year-old on an ebike hit me and my dog and knocked me to the pavement. The office closes in the evening and all hell breaks lose. People screaming, loud music, motorcycles, etc. racing up and down the streets. The staff made a big deal about getting your trash into the dumpster by a certain time because "We empty it every night to deter bears." Nope! Trash was overflowing the dumpster in the morning so you are in danger of bear encounters. The rule is not enforced that dogs must be kept on a lease. My dog and I were attacked by a pit bull that was just loose in a campsite. Again, I reported it and nothing was done. There were other problems: piles of trash down on the beach which were not cleaned up for days, a damaged picnic table that made one end of it unusable, only ONE toilet stall in the men's room for a park with over 100 spaces. The staff's answer was always, "The owner is not available." read more

We've been coming here for years. Great staff, very clean park, relaxing, and so many things to do in the area. The first responders and military discount is very much appreciated. This last trip the office staff went above and beyond for us. We got home (5 hour drive), only to realize my husband's work phone was missing. The locater showed that it was in our site. The woman in the office went out and searched for it in 100+degree heat and found it in the bushes leading down to the river. She mailed it to us right away and emailed us the tracking info. We are so thankful to her! Highly recommend this place and can't wait to be up there again next year! read more

We arrived late afternoon. We were just driving by and noticed the RV Park. Which was called, Clio's River Edge RV Park. We decided to see if they had room for us and hoped for a river to be close. When we arrived there were 3 ladies that greeted us with a smile. They found the perfect site for us on a Friday afternoon 05/10/24 which was Mother's Day weekend when we didn't have a reservation. They were so accommodating! A gentleman showed us to our campsite, he was so helpful helping us back into the site B18. They have a dog park, playground, bocce ball, horseshoes and corn hole. They also have restrooms, showers and laundry room and a small store. All the staff is very friendly. We were suppose to stay for 3 nights, but only was able to stay one night, because something unexpected happened and had to get home Saturday evening. Was so disappointed not being able to stay for all the nights. Will be back and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice, clean, quiet campground to stay at. I have stayed at Clio's the last couple years. What a beautiful resort on the river in Clio. It is such a beautiful and majestic RV place where dogs are very much welcome. Last year it seemed the staff was more engaging with the clientele. This here I was a little disappointed when almost every interaction with staff was because I didn't follow a rule or do something they wanted. Last year I would go in the office and talk to Meg and I just felt more of a family atmosphere. Anyways a beautiful place you should definitely check out!. read more

The owners and the staff, bar none, the best we have experienced so far. Attentive, concerned about their guest and go out of their way to accommodate them. Not enough can be said about all of them and their kindness. That said, this location sits behind the middle fork of the Feather River. It's literally minutes to several 18 hole golf courses and within 18-20 minutes you can fish several lakes in the area or right at the river on site. In addition, there is plenty of hiking trails or horseback riding. The RV park offers 30 and 50 amp hook ups, sewer, water and cable on site. But, make sure you have enough length (at least 25 feet depending on the style and length of your rigs). The service are set to the rear and not really centered with your site. No big deal. You plan for everything or just buy the extra length needed. The roads in the park are paved, smooth, and maintained. All the sites are gravel, which, in an area prone to snow and rain, helps keep the mud and the dust out of your rig. The park sports tall trees and the sites have picnics tables. Space was not an issue for us. We had three slides on our 5th wheel and a fro down patio from the rear of the rig- no issues. The park is dog friendly (leash required). Two dog areas- one fenced and gated, the other partially fenced and open. Both areas have waste collection and poop bags. Not sure where one reviewer claims 20 plus feet away. We found them to be very accessible. After all these items don't walk to you and we always have bags tied to the leash- non issue. Internet was good over all. When your in the mountainous areas you feel lucky to have it if it's available. It met our needs and maybe lost connectivity for a half-hour. Then again, the more users you have the more signal drop you get. It worked for us-no complaints. The park is clean and well maintained. Each site groomed. As we pulled out of our site the staff were on top of it grooming it for other anticipated guests. Be aware, if you are used to Bears as we are, you are in bear country. Get your trash out to the designated dump and don't leave it out. The dump area closes at 9 pm. You have plenty of time to take care of this. No issue for us. The park offers horse shoes, Bocci Ball and ping pong and it has a quiet time between 10 pm and 7 am. No problem. After fishing all day, coming back to BBQ, play my guitar, smoke a cigar and enjoy some Makers...10 pm was just right. After all, that's all we did. Early starts are great. Not enough can be said about this gem. We intend on returning before the summer is over to do more fishing and take advantage of the golf. A side note. Military and Law Enforcement discounts for active and retired. Our rate was about $36 a night plus taxes for spot that had 50 amp service and accommodated 45 foot length- back in. read more

We'd been stalking Clio's River's Edge for a couple of years now. A camping trip into the Graeagle area led us to another campground because the reviews for Clio's were, well...less than flattering. I saw there had been a change of ownership and we decided to give them a try, and booked 1 night just to test the waters. I must have called them 10 times while trying to figure out our plans, and the staff couldn't have been nicer! Glad we did, and we loved it so much we paid the small fee for late checkout! We're already planning to return next year, and stay longer! This is probably one of the prettiest campgrounds we've ever visited! Great amenities like the playground, game area featuring horseshoes, ladder ball, a small putting green and bocce ball, dog park, bear-proof trash and recycling bins, clean restrooms and showers...wow! All for a low per nite fee for full hookups, and the towering trees and river running along the park are included at no extra cost! I'd only wished we had access to the firepit, but that's seasonal. They welcome groups, have events like a kid's bike parade at the 4th of July, and the charming town of Graeagle is nearby for restaurants and entertainment. We can't wait to return to Clio's, and we're bringing friends and family...see you there!~ read more

Great campground! We were here over the weekend with a big group and they really have their system down. They greet you at your car on the way in with great attitudes and all of the information you may need. A map, the wifi information, and a parking slip. They send you off with a guy in a golf cart who offers his help to get you backed into your spot if you need it. The campground is clean with many trash bins, a nice bathroom with showers, and spots that have gravel rather than dirt. Some even have cement platforms. They have nice picnic benches and hook ups were in a good spot. Very shady with the river right next to the first section of spots. So fun to bring bikes and take a stroll around the campground to look at the fun themes that residents have set up (the dinosaurs being our favorite). I would LOVE to come back here another time! read more

We stayed here while attending a family wedding. The sites are clean, have a cement pad under the picnic table and are spaced quite far apart. The setting along the river is beautiful. But, you have to pay for a shower, which seems a little petty. Also, I am not sure the water was safe to drink, it was brown. And finally, the doggie bags were about 25 yards from the dog park! I can understand not wanting to provide bags for everyone but when you are caught without, it lends itself to not wanting to go get the bag and come back. I noticed this because I was inches from "stepping in it". All in all we had a nice stay in a beautiful location. read more

This park is awesome! We booked a site that backs up to the river and we can go fishing without leaving our site. Most of the sites are level with a layer of gravel. All sites have a picnic bench, full hookups and cable TV. Check in was easy and the staff and owners are all great folks. Staff will guide you to your spot and help you get backed in. They have a dog run, an activity area with ping pong, cornhole, ladder ball, horse shoe pits and bocce ball. A good size club house/meeting room is located near the office. They also have a laundry room, showers and a playground area. Several areas along the river are set up with chairs and umbrellas so you can watch nature. There is plenty to do nearby from hiking, biking, fishing, golf and ATV riding. So many quaint little towns with a variety of shops are close by. This is our first stay, but we'll be back. The park itself is so quiet and relaxing. The staff are accommodating and add to the overall enjoyment of our visit. read more

I have been coming to Rivers Edge for years. The park is always clean. I have seen many different owners through the years. This trip was no different the park was clean the area beautiful. The main difference this time was a little different Amanda at the office was a breath of fresh sir. So pleasant and a great personality. She was so helpful and kind. Positives: Clean park, friendly staff, they help you get in/out of your spot. (Not that they are small bc we had room for slides on both sides and room to walk around but there are beautiful trees that make some turns harder hence the help. Large park (200 sites) so you'll really enjoy your walks around. Looks like good fishing as a young lady walked by early this afternoon with several rainbow trout. Leveled pea-graveled sites (more or less). Good layout with different sections. Doggie bags and trash bins everywhere! (Loved that). Negatives: Bring your water filters, you'll need them. Picture 200 plus people using (1) 5G Wi-Fi at the same time. Not even 2G for range. So you can watch any show you want while people are packing up to go. But by afternoon when the park fills again, good luck! I have T-Mobile so only 1-2 bars for service, but hey, at least I was able to make calls and check on a local fire. Store has only non-perishable items but luckily Graeagle is right down the road (a quaint little town with ice cream shops, boutiques, along with an antique shop). Thrift stores about 20 minutes away. No pool. Very 'Fine' dust park, so expect to clean often. All in all, I'd come back. There's plenty of great hiking and lakes nearby along with several golf courses and even a quaint little red building town. Beautiful scenery coming and going no matter which direction you come from. read more

Dynamic map allows you to see available camp spots and you can choose * Campgrounds are very clean. Gravel seems to be swept and leveled every now and then. * service is very friendly. They seem very well staffed as well. * The feather River flows right next to the campsites. The Riverside sites of course are right next to the river. But honestly any site in the grounds are a mere 1 to 5 minute stroll away * Full hookups. Something that is really nice that I haven't seen much before is they include two faucets for water at your site. We found this very handy to have so we could hook up an external hose as well * Trailer parking escort service. I'm not sure I really liked this. It's a really nice touch however the person who is giving me instructions wasn't very clear and I already knew how to back up my trailer. He kept motioning his finger in a circle indicating which direction I should spin my steering wheel but it either contradicted or was not clear. * The river really is highlight. The kids loved going in their boats, inner tubes, floats. There was a gentle current and at times gave the boys a little challenge to paddle upstream but nothing too stress worthy :) read more

We have stayed at Clio's several times and the park is always clean as well as beautifully appointed. Large trees and lovely flowers in well kept gardens. When you enter the park you are guided to your spot by staff. The outer spaces seem to be larger and a bit father apart. The rules are strictly adhered to and although dogs are welcome, they must be leashed at all times. Our last visit, the water tasted strange. We asked the staff and they reported that the well we were connected to had passed tests but the water was a yellow color and smelled like sulfur, we used bottled water for cooking and drinking. Overall, the park is a nice place to stay and has wonderful activities for all family members. read more

We have been staying here for years! Some of the negative reviews on here are related to the previous owners. I must admit, they were not the friendliest folks in the world but none of that matters now! They are gone! The setting along the river and in the trees is great. The trees make maneuvering into the lower spaces tricky but staff does an awesome job guiding you in. New owners are very friendly and accommodating and the park is always spotless. Staff is amazing. Especially Taylor! He is one of the friendliest people on the planet. You just can't help but like him and he does a great job addressing any issue you might need help with. We tried to seek some help from him and he out right refused. The camper clearly should've entered on the otherside of his space where there would be plenty of space that wouldnt be intruding on our space. Worst customer service. This is a great RV park that can accommodate RV's of many sizes. It's obvious the staff take pride in maintaining the appearance of the park. Check-in was quick, simple and the staff was very nice. A staff escorted us to our assigned site and assisted in parking our trailer. Although the sites are gravel, they are fairly level. There is plenty to do here for both adults, kids and dogs. There is a recreational area which has ping pong, Jenga, corn hole, and horse shoes. There is a playground with two swing sets for kids. There is a unenclosed and an enclosed dog area. The main garbage area is centrally locates to all sites. There is a small picnic area right by the river and plenty of access to the river for anglers. Now, people always want to hear the negatives. I don't feel this park has anything that would prevent me from making another reservation, so that should tell you something. The only things I would point out is this: The asphalt roads that lead to the sites are narrow which can be challenging if two vehicles with attached trailers are driving towards each other. There is only one men's/women's bathroom in the park which is located at the entrance of the park. Certain times of the day and night loud trains can be heard nearby. This is a great park that I would recommend to friends and family. Clio's River's Edge RV Park will see us again. read more

I love this place! I basically grew up in this area, every summer anyway. And now that I'm older and have my own trailer, I have discovered that Clio River's Edge is the ONLY local place I will stay and recommend. The park is super-clean, the owners and staff are nice and friendly, they allow dogs (and offer a dog run), the kids can play in the creek and ride their bikes, they have on-site propane refills, free wi-fi (near the office), and my favorite amenity....on-site laundry facilities. The location and the campground is gorgeous. Some people have said in their reviews that the campground is too strict and/or the owners are not very nice. I have never experienced that. Gloria and Kevin and their staff are great. They have made MAJOR improvements to this park (trust me, I remember what it used to be like!) and I think the rules are there to keep the park in tip-top shape and safe and pleasant for everyone. I make it a point to stay here every year and will continue to do so as long as I can. P.S. Although it is packed and really busy during holiday weekends, the park does a great job with special events (bike parades, ice cream for the kids, etc) for 4th of July...and possibly other summer holidays. read more

This place is awesome! It has the perfect combination of amenities and nature. The tall trees and considerate spacing makes you feel more like you are in nature than your average RV park's "sardines in a can" vibe, but the place has everything you could possibly need. The location is fantastic too, right on the banks of the river and a short drive to some of the best hiking in California. Heads up if your RV does not have a full bathroom, there is only one here which is near the entrance. So if you are like us and prefer to camp at the far end of a park for privacy, yet need occasional access to restroom facilities, then be prepared for a short walk, or bring a bike. Spent 3 nights here this past week and very happy with the RV Park... I prefer camping in State Parks and National Parks, due to the more secluded nature of them, and generally more space between sites! But they are usually also primitive or limited to electric and for some trips it's nice to camp in an RV Park with full hook-ups! But, so many RV parks are parking lots with a couple trees and sites lined up, row after tow, with just inches between each RV. You feel like your parking in downtown LA! While not as secluded as a National Park might be, the sites here where well spaced out, CLEAN, fairly level and wide enough for RV and tow vehicle to sit side by side and still have space for the picnic table, grill and dogs to play. Speaking of dogs, they have a nice sized CLEAN dog run, and several other dog walk areas in the park, with plenty of poop bags! We had our 3 standard poodles with us and they enjoyed the space to run and play! One of the nice features of the park is that all spots are covered in pea-sized gravel that is kept clean and level! But that gravel also likes to get stuck in the tread of shoes and boots, so be prepared to track some into your unit... Never had any interaction with the management except for 60 seconds to sign a paper the day after a late arrival so cannot speak to that. I would gladly stay here again if looking for a place for a relaxing weekend. There isn't much to do in the immediate area, outside a small town and some hiking, but perfect for a quiet weekend relaxing at camp. read more

I finally got a chance to stay here after several friends have referred this place to me. The staff were all very friendly and even escorted us to our camp site. The site was super clean. The park is located on the Feather river and is really family oriented. My kids and our dog enjoyed the river side and watching the frogs jump into the water. Make sure you bring your bikes with. The reservation process was super easy and I received a quick response to emails. I had to cancel our first reservation in August due to last minute truck issues and was appreciative of their understanding and of their cancellation policies. We immediately re-booked for Labor Day weekend and plan to return soon and with friends.. This will definitely be our new annual place to visit. Great place, great location, awesome hiking and lakes in the area to visit. read more

The cleanest RV Park I've ever been to! They take care of the grounds so well. They give firefighter discounts too! They are right on the river(so you can take a float day), they have a dog run, playground, bocceball, horseshoe pit, and other activists too. They also have a meeting room and gathering area for a large group. The only thing I wish was allowed was tents.....sometimes the nieces and nephews like to sleep in a tent...while the adults sleep inside. But again, this place is so clean I was extremely impressed. This is a great place if you have an RV or trailer, paved roads, sites are in gravel, river access, a little gift shop. Thats about it, oh and at 10pm its quiet time. Better shut off music, put out your fire, if youve brought a portable fireplace, the elderly need their sleep. So that means you need to go to bed too cause matlock and murder she wrote are over and even though old man winter next door will be up at 4am to go.....hell i dont know, cruise his hover round through the campground complaining his wife snores too loud while coughing up a lung and hanging a cigarette off his lips at the same time. A fantastic park with friendly staff members. It was a warm weekend so we spent time at lake Davis and bucks lake which are a welcomed get-a-way spot. The grounds were clean and sites are easily accessible. Dog friendly areas and a central activities area are a nice touch. Easy walk to the river from campsites. Negatives (or things to note)-gravel filled spots instead of the grass highlighted in their website. Showers were fine but a little touchy with regulating hot and cold water They could improve their store for campers to purchase coffee, water, beer etc. Garbage can areas are far away from many camp spots (but a staff member happily took out garbage on their golf cart). read more

I've stayed here -- didn't like the atmosphere. Lots of gravel - spaces on top of each other, too little shade. Didn't feel like camping, felt like we stayed in a parking lot. My brother, a retired fire chief, was just here last week. Had more than a week reservation - an emergency came up in the family and he had to leave after a few days. He told them he was checking out early and why. They refused to refund the unused nights. They told him when he made the reservation it wasn't a deposit, it was the full fee for the entire stay. That doesn't make a difference - he was charged for more nights than he actually stayed. This may be a private campground and they have their rules and policies but gouging someone like this is totally unacceptable. We have a large camping family who frequents many campsites ~ this one is definitely off our list and will not be recommended. read more
