i just started to collect comics again after 20+ years of not being involved in the comics business. I went into the old store which was right across the street and the lady behind the cashier welcomed me to the store and asked if I had been there before. About ten minutes later a very nice man comes over and asks me if I need any help finding what I am looking for, later I find out that the nice lady behind the cashier was Susan and the nice man who helped me was Ken who are the owners of the store. Now that the store is in the new local right across the street nothing has changed other then the amount of space Ken and Susan have to use. Everytime I walk in Susan says hi and Ken shakes my hand and calls me by my first name as we make conversaton about our love for G.I. Joe from years past, Ken makes it a point to shake every persons hand and remember their first name. I had been to many other comic stores around the valley and always come back to Ken and Susan to get exactally what I am looking for. Not only do they have a vast selection of comics etc. but the discounts are UNREAL! as is the pull selection they offer. Now that I am back collecting I know what I want and now that I have my own box number Ken and Susan pull from my want list as soon as the new issues come in and put them in my box for me to pickup when I can get in there, NEVER missing an issue of anything!! The customer service is 5 star, the selection is 5 star, the knowledge they share and have of all things comics is 5 star and the prices and discounts are unbeatable. Drawn to Comics is a family run store with outstanding service and selection! hands down!! Everything your parents warned you about the local dumpy comic book store, and less. Nothing about my visit made my want to return. The owner (I assume) came sprinting over to introduce himself and shake my hand, which would normally seem pleasant, but it was the most cheesy and insincere greeting that I have ever had..a feeling which was confirmed when he dropped me in mid-sentence to run away to give the same spiel to another customer. The store seemed dingy and unorganized- like it hasn't been cleaned or even swept in years. Imagine my surprise to hear that this was the "new location"! It's called a vacuum cleaner guys... look into it. The selection of comics was average at best, but what really struck me was the high prices! Comics that sell in other shops at cover price or less were marked at least twice as much as the other stores I checked. Then there were the "specialty items".. A sad mish-mash of randomly-sized shirts, old and dusty toys and bobble heads... again, easily several dollars each more than other area shops. I made the mistake of asking the woman behind the counter a question about a Batman book and was treated to a surly "I don't have any idea" as she quickly returned to whatever was more important than me. Overall, an extremely disappointing visit. With so many great comic stores in the valley, do yourself a favor... follow the Silver Surfer in the window's example and head away from Drawn to Comics and never look back! read more

I have personally been going to Drawn to comics for a good 8 or so years now. since the first moment I walked through the door Ken welcomed this social outcast with open arms and gentle kindness. This is one of the best hang-outs a guy like me could hope for when I'm not busting my tail doing Graphics for T.R.I.B.E. Comics or spending time at home with the wife and our step-daughter, I can usually be found here at ken's amazing comic book shop. to me....this is my second home. the reason being is that the service this shop provides me is Bar-None above and beyond some of the best customer service a human being could ever give. Ken has a photographic memory and is an amazing man when it comes to people and attending to all their needs. Even if he doesn't have what your looking for, he's willing to post an order to get more. His store was amazing long before the move across the street. but even now after he got a bigger shop, it's still one of the coolest experiences you could ask for as an Artist and Lover of comic books and Action figures. I highly recommend visiting DRAWN TO COMICS for all your needs. There is always such amazing deals to be had here. and after all these years of shopping here I still will continue to come. Ken and Susan are 2 of the friendliest human Beings you'll ever meet. of course I can't forget about their little girl, who can always be seen talking up a storm to customers and doodling :) read more

Ken and the gang are always helpful and know you by name. It is like Cheers but with comics. They have no problem checking their inventory for something if it is not on the floor, and they try to beat eBay prices. They have a small area for my kids to play with toys while I am looking around. I try and get the bulk of my comics from them because they offer a discount program and a special card that after a while can get you 20% off any $20 or more purchase! If you pay with cash you get a raffle ticket for a monthly drawing that could win you a $50 gift-card. Overall a great place, if you set up a box you could get deals on variant issues and a discount on your comics. Dont forget the student/military discount they offer as well. read more

I tried a few different comic shops when I moved to Phoenix last August; Drawn to Comics has the best customer service and consistency of all the stores I've been to here. The customer service at this place is very exceptional: Ken and company make you feel at home, help you find what you're looking for right away, and are always up to chat geek stuff with you. The selection and layout of the store is very appealing. Lots of key issues are on display and, where many stores nowadays seem to specialize in trades, Pop figures, statues, etc... DtC is first and foremost a comic shop. My pull lists are always Accurate, the discounts and loyalty program are effective in creating repeat customers. Highly recommended. read more

I came to Drawn to comics in hopes of finding great deals on comics and a helpful nice staff and they accelerated my expectations. The staff immediately greeted me and offered me what they called a daily dice roll which had some good deals if you rolled the dice right. Than I went to the back the pricing on the comics was more than fair. They had tons of great comics on the the walls and behind their counter. The quantity of comics was overwhelming. I ended up getting a few comics for a great deal and I left super happy. Will definitely be coming back here for sure. read more

DRAWN TO COMICS IS AWESOME!!! I went in and immediately was greeted by friendly faces i loved how the people would go out of their way to make you satisfied. The prices are great! I bought some awesome first runs and some great issues I needed for Aquaman! The staff was great they knew their comics and everything it's hard to run into a fellow darkhawk fan!!! I was visiting from Texas and I got to tell you I thought I was back home with the hospitality I was shown. What comic shop greets you with a handshake? I was even offered a personal tour and took them up on it. This shop every week stocks over 15 different publishers and keep their inventory fresh.
