In California we lived on a ranch in the middle of no where agricultural country. We never had any need to lock the house or the cars. (This is important later) We had just spent a week towing a trailer from there to here. Finally, got the truck unloaded, started putting the bed together so we could call it a night, when we decided to step outside for a smoke break. Like a normal person, I shut the door behind me. It was 8pm and we enjoyed the cool evening weather while swaying in the rocking chairs on the porch. Husband asks if I shut the door and I reply with a snarky, "of course I did" The look on his face made my heart sink. Yup, you guessed it, ALL the doors and of course windows were solidly locked. While he attempted to find a way in, I cried at what an idiot I was while trying to find a locksmith that would come out so late. My first call was to SSS. He was so kind! He was an hour away, had just settled in for his night off but came back to Danville! He showed up exactly when he said he would and had us in the house in less then 5 minutes. He was friendly, understanding, quick and knowledgeable! I highly recommend this company (I'm sorry I can't remember your name‍ Matt or Mike?) Dispatcher Katelynn said she could have someone come by in about half an hour. She followed up with a call in a short while that someone would be there in about 10 minutes. PJ (the technician) pulled in right as promised in a well-labeled van. I met him and confirmed the work, and he dug right in. Unsuccessful at 'picking' the lock, he resorted to an older method of partially forcing the passenger door open, and reaching in with a long, thick wire to pull the handle. Piece of cake. Done in less than 10 minutes. I thought the price was worth it.

When the technician arrived, he tried to charge me an additional $20 for a window tag. I was under the impression that a security system should already include securing both doors and windows. I decided to give them another chance and called the same representative to reschedule. We set a new installation date for September 9, 2025. I even took the day off work to be available, but no one ever showed up. I contacted CPI and spoke with a manager, who assured me I'd receive a call back from a supervisor and the sales rep--but that never happened. This experience was extremely frustrating. If this is how they treat potential customers, I can only imagine how they treat current ones. I ultimately had to call back just to request a refund for the taxes I had already paid on the equipment. DO NOT go with this company.
