Any visible damage was mostly contained within kitchen area. I looked up local companies on Yelp and decided to get a free quote from Independent Restoration Services. They came out the next day to check out the place, provided a quote within a few hours, and were then able to start the next day after obtaining work authorization. I placed my trust in them based on their reviews across Yelp, Google, and FB. At first I was a bet skeptical due to only one person making it out on the first day, which was due to a combination of scheduling issues , others being called onto different sites/projects, and overall just being a small team. But in the end they still finished on schedule as initially estimated, despite having less manpower than I had expected. They were thorough with the restoration - my place was just as clean as before, and in some places even cleaner. They kept me assured throughout the whole process and answered any questions and concerns I had. There was a misunderstanding on my end where I thought they would also clean the air ducts, but since that is not something they provide, they offered to go 50/50 on subcontracting a duct cleaner. And at the end, they agreed the initial quoted estimated cost seemed a bit too high, so they were willing to adjust the final bill downwards. Overall they provided quality cleaning and restoration services, were flexible to work with, and did not seem like they were out to get my money. I went on…read moreHouzz.com to get some recommendations and AFR was one of two companies I interviewed for the job as I was just moving back to Las Vegas and didn't know who to contact after I went through the usual "I know a guy" and "I have a friend" responses from family and friends. Not only did AFR beat the other company on price, but they gave me a fully broken down estimate that showed me what each part of the project would cost, including overhead, which the other company would not do. I appreciated the transparency they exhibited both before and during the process and could not be happier with the outcome. Beside the finished product, the people that worked on the project were equally outstanding. First, Karen answering the phone is awesome! You have no idea what a great first impression the person answering the phone can make, and Karen is clearly one of the best. I don't know what her title is within the company, but whatever it is, Karen absolutely created the environment that made me want to work with AFR. During my design appointment, J. Johnson (the President and Chief Designer) and Jake (Master Carpenter) came out to look at the space and the materials that I had purchased. They assured me they had everything they needed to get me an accurate estimate and proposal. As I indicated before, the estimate was thorough and answered all my questions and concerns. There were no surprises at the end of the project with no cost overruns. I could not have asked for better. On construction day, Jake, Caleb, and Thai showed up on time and ready to work. I was very impressed with how quickly they got the cabinets installed in a relatively small space, along with all the trim and cabinet pulls. They cleaned up throughout the process and my house looked great afterwards. I worked with Manny (who was awesome) to build them template for the countertops, and to select the counter material sink and faucet. Not long after, Manny showed up with Roberto and Abel to get the countertops installed and the plumbing connected. During this installation, Louie Roman, the General Manager, showed up to check on progress and to make sure I was satisfied with the work. I had Manny come back out to work on the sink as it was manufactured with a sharp edge, and Caleb came out to do some touchup painting on the cabinets once I got paint from the manufacturer. On other projects, I have had people come out to do a touch and they do crappy work because they have already been paid. Not Caleb! He spent the time necessary to insure the job was completed properly. A couple of spots on the walls were repaired and repainted along with any small issues with the cabinets themselves. Truly an outstanding job from start to finish. Bottom line: AFR was outstanding to work with and I cannot thank them enough for the excellent work they did on my laundry room.

After discovering a leak in my kitchen that caused plywood damage and warping, I asked my plumber for a recommendation for water cleanup/remediation. I was referred to Imperial Restoration, and from the beginning Scott Gamble was extremely persistent and pressured me into acting immediately. He repeatedly emphasized the urgency, warned me about mold, placed a blower in the home, and strongly pushed me to open an insurance claim, assuring me the damage should be covered. Because of his persistence, I contacted my insurance company and asked whether they could begin mitigation work while the claim was being reviewed. Based on the information and photos Scott already submitted to insurance, I was told they could proceed. Work started on May 6 and was finished by May 8. Here are my concerns: * No written estimate was provided before work began. * I did not receive clear pricing upfront before authorizing work. * I felt pressured into making quick decisions out of fear of mold and further damage. * Scott repeatedly pushed me to pressure my insurance adjuster for approvals and communication. * The company left my kitchen in disarray, including tarps and debris. * I specifically asked whether they would also restore/replace the damaged cabinets and kitchen components, and was told they had "a contractor" for that instead of handling it directly. Ultimately, my homeowners insurance denied the claim, stating the damage appeared to be long-term and not a sudden covered loss. Now I am personally stuck with an invoice for $3,377.91 due June 1, 2026, for work that I felt rushed and pressured into approving under the belief it would likely be covered by insurance. I was also later informed that concerns had arisen regarding some of the documentation/photos that had been submitted to insurance, which made me even more uncomfortable with the entire situation. Now my elderly father is left without a functioning kitchen sink, garbage disposal, or dishwasher, and this entire experience has created tremendous stress for our family. My advice to anyone dealing with water damage: Please get multiple opinions and multiple estimates before authorizing work. Do not let fear tactics or pressure rush you into making decisions. Ask for everything in writing before any work starts, including estimates, scope of work, billing expectations, and insurance responsibilities. I regret not slowing down and getting second and third opinions first.

He came out right away and even waited for the insurance adjuster to show up before doing any work. Once the Xactimate was agreed upon, he tore out the damaged drywall, checked for mold, and set up the drying equipment. He even swung by on a Sunday to pick it all up. Talk about service. He also connected me with Pro Restoration to handle the repair work, which made the whole process way easier. While we were waiting for the adjuster (who was, of course, late), Daniel and I got to talking about food. I told him I missed Raffi's in Glendale (I was born and raised in Glendale), and he immediately put me onto Shish Kabab House here in Vegas. Solid recommendation... but nobody is better than Raffi's. Here's the thing. I didn't even know there was a big Armenian community in Las Vegas. Daniel told me there are two Armenian churches. I guess it make sense since Jerry Tarkanian, the legendary UNLV coach was Armenian and did you know Andre Agassi who lives with in Summerlin is half Armenian and his full last name was originally Agassian? Bottom line: Daniel and his son were professional, friendly, and just solid people. If my water heater disaster had a silver lining, it was meeting them. What could improve? How about better communication and /or not lying about the service…read more Semper Fi recommended Restoration to me for the water damage at my house on the second floor. Granted they came in the same day, Jonatan came in the same day and assured me that they "will take care of everything" which was a lie. The next day, his crew came and started the demolition, put the floor cover and the fans. I tried contacting Jonatan but no response since i had questions. Looks like they come in fast and start the work so I can't do anything about it if don't want them to continue. The person who took over for Jonathan was nice, came over several times during the process and responded well to my questions. It took them over 3 days to dry the walls and floors don't know why since it was a small area. Once everything was "dry", the rebuild was contracted out to another company, Inspired Construction. That was a nightmare too and another review. Once they were done, they were done and never heard anything from them until they've demanded payment. Don't trust this company and don't trust Jonatan, that's all I am saying.
