I got in the shower one day before work and notice some small black mold and flies above my shower…read more I work graves/weekends so I was scared I wasn't going to be able to get any help any time soon, but shortly after I called I got a response back. Daniel came over the next morning and gave me peace of mind and tips on how to fix what he noticed and the concerns I brought up to him. Everything has been better since! Thank you!!!

I'd like to think my dad taught me to be a pretty handy and independent woman, but let's be real, some stuff I will never understand. So, when my water heater decided to Spring a leak & unravel into a larger issue needing restoration services, I started off with a company referred by my home warranty plumber, and when I looked them up on YELP, I was like "No thank you". I found the amazing reviews for IRS and Daniel (My superhero w/o a cape) and his team came to the rescue. He became my new best friend during this process. His extensive knowledge, support, constant communication (always a phone call or text away), for which I will never be able to say enough about Daniel or the team for their help & guidance. That unravel part, mainly on the shoulders of plumber, home warranty, home insurance, a whole dang sh*t show...but with Daniels help and guidance, I managed to get through it without going crazy and breaking down. I am and will be forever thankful for IRS, Daniel & their team! If I could leave 10 Stars, I would!

I initially called another company and received a quote, but a friend of mine recommended AFR, so I decided to give them a call as well. I'll be honest -- I'm pretty skeptical these days because customer service in general has become pretty lackluster. That said, I can confidently say the customer service from AFR was excellent from start to finish. One thing I appreciated immediately was their willingness to work with me after finding out my USAA homeowners insurance would not be covering the damages. Since I was paying out of pocket, that mattered a lot to me, and they treated me fairly throughout the process. That was the first sign to me that this was probably going to be a good company to work with. Once the quotes came in, what really made AFR stand out compared to the competitor was the thoroughness and detail in their estimate and scope of work. I'm admittedly pretty OCD and detail-oriented, so I appreciated how clearly everything was broken down and explained. After speaking with Karen, we moved forward and scheduled the work. Anthony, who I would consider the lead on the project, was excellent throughout the entire process. His communication skills and responsiveness to texts and questions were outstanding. He showed up every day without fail and always maintained a professional attitude. When the crew arrived, Xavier and Sergei handled the demolition and mitigation work. The first thing I noticed was how well they prepped and protected the area before starting. Honestly, it was above and beyond what I expected. Any concerns or considerations I had were immediately addressed without complaint, although the reality is I barely had to say anything because their preparation and professionalism spoke for themselves. Since I had concerns about mold and mitigation, I paid very close attention to the process, and I was genuinely impressed with the level of care and diligence they showed. They documented everything thoroughly with photos and videos, kept the area extremely clean, and were meticulous with the work being performed. Anthony also consistently checked in throughout the project to make sure everything was progressing properly. Toward the end of the process, Jose handled the reconstruction work, including drywall, fiberglass, mudding, and texturing. He also did an excellent job, and the finished product came out great. Overall, I'm extremely impressed with AFR from top to bottom. Good customer service is hard to find nowadays, and this company exceeded my expectations. Hopefully I never need to call them again because that would mean I have another leak -- but if I ever do, I would not hesitate for a second to use AFR again. Thank you AFR, Anthony, Xavier, Sergei and Jose for a job well done.

They were very thorough investigating what caused the damage, cleaning, and stripping the damaged area. Imperial Restoration will be the first and last company I would need for any similar event.

I would strongly caution anyone considering using Imperial Restoration for water remediation…read moreservices, specifically my experience dealing with Scott Gamble. After discovering a leak in my kitchen that caused plywood damage and warping, I asked my plumber for a recommendation for water cleanup/remediation. I was referred to Imperial Restoration, and from the beginning Scott Gamble was extremely persistent and pressured me into acting immediately. He repeatedly emphasized the urgency, warned me about mold, placed a blower in the home, and strongly pushed me to open an insurance claim, assuring me the damage should be covered. Because of his persistence, I contacted my insurance company and asked whether they could begin mitigation work while the claim was being reviewed. Based on the information and photos Scott already submitted to insurance, I was told they could proceed. Work started on May 6 and was finished by May 8. Here are my concerns: * No written estimate was provided before work began. * I did not receive clear pricing upfront before authorizing work. * I felt pressured into making quick decisions out of fear of mold and further damage. * Scott repeatedly pushed me to pressure my insurance adjuster for approvals and communication. * The company left my kitchen in disarray, including tarps and debris. * I specifically asked whether they would also restore/replace the damaged cabinets and kitchen components, and was told they had "a contractor" for that instead of handling it directly. Ultimately, my homeowners insurance denied the claim, stating the damage appeared to be long-term and not a sudden covered loss. Now I am personally stuck with an invoice for $3,377.91 due June 1, 2026, for work that I felt rushed and pressured into approving under the belief it would likely be covered by insurance. I was also later informed that concerns had arisen regarding some of the documentation/photos that had been submitted to insurance, which made me even more uncomfortable with the entire situation. Now my elderly father is left without a functioning kitchen sink, garbage disposal, or dishwasher, and this entire experience has created tremendous stress for our family. My advice to anyone dealing with water damage: Please get multiple opinions and multiple estimates before authorizing work. Do not let fear tactics or pressure rush you into making decisions. Ask for everything in writing before any work starts, including estimates, scope of work, billing expectations, and insurance responsibilities. I regret not slowing down and getting second and third opinions first.
