Loyalty Plumbing to the rescue! Alex showed up within an hour and delivered the news that the water heater was kaput. We talked about some options and elected to replace it with a tankless heater. Trey and another fellow showed up a little bit after noon and spent many hours installing the tankless heater. Trey returned the next day to plumb the new gas line, and he came back once more to check that the gas line holds pressure. We'll see him again when the city inspector and SW Gas come by to attach the new line to the meter. It would have been much better and cheaper to have gotten Loyalty Plumbing to do an annual check on the original water heater, our bad! However, I'm glad to have a new high-tech toy in the garage. Considering the cost of the new tankless heater and the many hours of labor that went into the installation and gas line plumbing, I feel like it was a fair price when all is said and done. We're now signed up for the yearly maintenance plan by which Loyalty will come out three times a year to check on the plumbing and HVAC. As always, everyone we encountered from Loyalty was super friendly and helpful.
