We did need the system checked after first install, our water was still reading high TDS! Demitri came back out and replaced the faulty membrane! We had to wait a bit but not to his fault. Shawn came out and was very knowledgeable and approachable when working with me. He did his best to try and fix my water softener before the resolution became getting a new one. He also explained to me how really it's the chlorine that does certain damage like to rubber gaskets. About 9 months out of the year there is only one person in residence, so I was suggested an appropriate size tank as opposed to being upsold. For me, the price of the new units made sense.
