The Topeka Toy Store (Lawrence too) is large and open with a second floor full of toys, books, and activities. I do an opinion writing project with my 5th grade class every year about entomophagy (eating insects) and I rely on the Toy Store for the boxes of flavored crickets and larvae I offer to the brave kids who choose to try them. We've been coming here for a long time and my 16 year old and 2.5 year old still find fun things they want at every visit. We love the Toy Store! If you're looking to support local business and don't mind spending a bit more to do so, you have to check this place out. There's something for everyone.

I have now had four large art prints framed and matted by Josh, Anna (I think), and the framing team at Michael's, and I truly cannot express enough how happy I am with their work. They are experts at making my vision of the frame-up come alive. On both occasions I took prints in, Josh and Anna lent me their eyes and creativity to find the absolute perfect mat combinations for my prints. I took my own frames in, and they had no problem accommodating me by carefully measuring each frame and print, entering the data into their software, and then showing me different mat combinations until we find one that has all of us going "ooooooooooo". Once everything has been selected, they can show you what it will look like on the computer. It's pretty neat. On both occasions they finished the frame-ups before my scheduled pick up day, which is the best thing ever when waiting to see your art feels like waiting for Christmas morning as a kid. Each time they reveal the framed art from the brown kraft paper, my jaw drops and my excitement levels rise! And they look so, so, so good on the wall. These are pieces I will cherish forever. They hold sentimental value to me, and I'm very appreciative of the expertise provided by the Michael's Custom Framing team who made it all happen.

Once upon a time I was the owner of a PlayStation one and over the years It got misplaced. I've been telling myself for a while to try to find a way to get another one but with new games and consoles being introduced all the time, I feared that I would never be able to find an original classic. When I googled play station one in search of trying to find places that sold them I was led to this place. I looked at the reviews and they seem to be a spot that a lot of people approved so I decided I'd give them a call. When I called them and told them that I was looking for an original PlayStation one, I was immediately surprised that they had it. Not only did they have it, the price that they were selling it for was extremely affordable especially in these days and times. But before I could commit to buying it I had one more question for them. The number one game that I love to play on the PlayStation one was Tekken 3, and when I asked them if they had that, they stated that they did. At that point I was sold and I came in the next day and purchased my PlayStation one and my game Tekken three. After receiving the game. I immediately came home and hooked it up and I noticed a problem right away when it took me five attempts to get the game to come on before it would. When I seen that it came on I was willing to forgive the five tries, until I turned off the game and went about my business and came back hours later to play again only to find that the Console would not come on at all. I decided that I was going to take the console back and demand either a replacement or a refund. When I arrived they were so friendly and helpful. They immediately discovered that the problem was the power cord to the game. They quickly issued me a new power cord and assured me that if there were any more problems they would be more than happy to fix it at no extra charge. I brought the cord home hooked it up and I have been in tekken land ever since. Now that I've talked about my experience I will talk about the layout of the store. They do have a lot of retro games. They do have Nintendo, the wii and all of the other games, but what I saw that I haven't ever seen before was they have a gaming room. Set up with gaming chairs, different sizes of TVs and they said they virtually have any game that you were interested in playing. You can pay a price to play for an hour, or half a day or all day. You can pay for snacks while you play games. Unfortunately they won't let you in the room unless you're going to play games in there but I did get a sneak peek as a kid came out to switch out games. This has become a popular hang out in the Topeka area and now I know why. I literally saw parents bringing their kids to this place and coming back to pick them up later. Maybe one day just out of curiosity I may go and play a game for an hour just to see what it's like. They also state that you can throw gaming parties. So if you are into classic games like me or you are a bona fide gamer this is definitely a place you want to check out

He explained a few things to me and he did not patronize my ignorance about the lack of knowledge. We had delightful little small talk. He seemed incredibly knowledgeable and versed on the subject. I did see a few things that I might want to purchase but it had to wait. I plan on a return trip, for sure. The prices seemed reasonable for what they were and their value. Some things were inexpensive and others not so much. This store is in a busy strip mall but access was easy and there are plenty of parking spaces. There is no shortage of spaces in this privately owned lot. Overall, I had a good experience here and my interest is piqued!

Had it up and running just fine without having to do anything. Asked me to bring in my monitor to check it. The monitor ended up being the problem. Diagnostic was very reasonably priced. Had a monitor in stock that was also reasonably priced so they fixed me up. Very happy with the experience and will gladly return in the future with any further computer problems.

They replaced it and it's worked ever since but I realized way later that they took the read/write drive and the audio board. I will never take anything to them ever again. Even though the tower still works and they charged us over $300 they basically stole the good stuff out of our tower and got paid also.
