The atmosphere was relaxed. The bartender was nice. The mocktail was tasty. I will definitely go back again.

Their cocktails are superb and very high-quality. The service is absolutely the best in the entire city that I have ever experienced. Not only was everybody friendly, but they were super excited about their experience and their products and were very willing to answer questions and provide any guidance we wanted. During our 90 minute visit, I'm certain they stopped at our table 4 or five times to check on us. It was not intrusive, it was part of the experience. We were blown away. When we left, our bill was reasonable, we felt we had a high-quality night out, and we made plans to 100% come back much more often. I just can't rate this place higher or speak more highly of it. Truly worthy of five stars. Thank you, Mayport Garden Club, for the justice that you do to your patrons, the world of tiki, and craft cocktails! Oh - food came from the pizza baker next door at Reve brewing. It had a slight burnt taste (wood fired? Coal fired?) but wasn't bad overall. The cocktails and great service and atmosphere are front-and-center here!!

The regulars are always here on the weekdays and there is always a bustling crowd on the weekends. The bartenders are all awesome! They'll make you feel welcome the moment you enter. The vibe is divey, but homey all in one...you'll have a good time here with a great whiskey and tap selection! They have live music going on now on Thursdays. Friday night is poker night. Bring your good luck charm to Island Girl Taproom. They have plenty of game machines from darts to gambling to golf simulator to good old fashioned pool. I cannot say enough about the bartender Chris who works hard behind the bar to make sure everyone's drink is full. He is one of the best bartender's I have ever met. Play some country music on the Touchtunes and you'll have an instant first name basis friend. He keeps everyone in line and having a good time!

They were there to watch the Jags game and I was there to hang out with friends plus provide moral support if needed. This was only our second time ever hanging out at an Island Girl, but we had a blast. The place is very big with everything you could need: darts and a lot of pool tables for everyone else along with Golden Tee Golf for us. They don't serve food (of course) but The Hanger Bay Cafe and Simply Tasty Thai are right in the same plaza, so you can have great food brought to you. The waitstaff was awesome, the people hanging out were cool and the place has a lot to do. So we're really happy we went. On a side note: Football is not my thing. At all. So I rarely ever watch a whole game. In short what I'm saying is; you're welcome for that Jags win. I'm guessing they knew it was a special occasion when I watch and played extra well

As for the food? The berry salad was alright, but very light on the dressing- which made it slightly dry and the bitter arugula taste stand out. But my waitress did bring extra dressing so I ended up enjoying it. The Peaches & Cream fried green tomatoes were delicious- way more tomato than I expected in the best possible way! I feel like it should be named fried green tomatoes on the menu with the cheese and peaches left in the description. The Ahi tuna with ginger noodles was also fantastic! The noodles on the dish were actually the highlight of the whole meal. The only thing I felt really was not worth the money was the crab macaroni- which for $18 was a very basic velveeta adjacent mac with a very thin, crusty layer of shredded crab on top. In sum: the food is good, but it's definitely at a premium.

I was worried it would be too hot but the fans and the breeze up there made it nice. The food was delicious - the French Toast plate was massive! Everyone loved their meals (a few not pictured) and we got "Breakfast Bubbz" for the table: a bottle of sparkling and your choice of juices. In my opinion, a little overpriced for a very traditional brunch and nothing that knocked my socks off, but still a great brunch spot and close by Lemon Bar & Pete's to hit up after being a little tipsy from the bubbly

When you walk in the owner is often the one to great you, the cash register to the left of the entrance, and a lovely assortment of trinkets to the right. The food itself was nice and light. I enjoyed the Knafeh. We also got an assortment of drinks. My personal favorite was the Salep (like a more savory creamier hot chocolate, hold the chocolate). The masala chai was a decent price for a pot and had a delightful flavor, I've since taken multiple people and a variety of different pallettes enjoy the flavor. This is a great date spot, but also low key enough to just enjoy if you want a place to relax, there's a small bookshelf if you wanted to un plug and read while you enjoy your tea. Ps. The owner is a professional guitarist, my friend who is also a professional musician has a wonderful time chatting with him about their shared passions.

My fiancé chose this place for a random date and I was really glad he did. From the photos from…read moreothers on Yelp it looked like a place to unwind and relax so I couldn't wait. The photos didn't lie. This place is nicely tucked away from the Atlantic and San Pablo craziness. Walking in I felt transported to another country. As cliche as that sounds I don't have any other way to describe it. I love the items imported straight from Turkey for sale (the staff are true salespeople as they really wanted me to purchase something. They were beautiful but I didn't see anything that I HAD to have). In the back. the wisteria hanging from the ceiling and the middle eastern sofa for lounging and maybe for some snacks and hookah made it seem so cozy. I loved all the decor. The first thing we got was the Turkish Coffee that was heated in hot sand. The guy serving us, I wasn't sure if he was the owner or not was really great. He warned us not to ingest the coffee grind/powder/sludge on the bottom but that we'd really enjoy the taste. That was perhaps the best tasting coffee I've ever had not to mention it was nuclear hot. We got the Charcuterie for 2 which had lebna or lebneh, cheddar, gyro meat which I thought was shawarma but it wasn't, grape leaves, hummus, fruits and crackers with a side of honey and pita bread slices. I don't remember having lebna before but I loved it. There were some extras we got like the mozzarella balls, the ful medames, olives, and I believe some kind of date cakes. Trust me. We were good after eating all of this. My fiance also had Lentil soup which he said was nice and simple. Definitely had a wonderful experience.
