I stopped in today to check it out and I was really impressed! First of all the decorations are awesome! All kinds of creative and interesting stuff I didn't even know where to look! I was greeted when I walked in and I must admit I was a bit confused on what to do or where to go. Do I just sit down? Is there a menu? Do I go to the back of the store where the counter is? I walked around and looked at stuff before finally walking over to the counter and asking if there was a menu. (There is) There are several coolers with all kinds of beer and wine to choose from. There are a TON of games and a good bit of seating. They also serve coffee and some small snacks. This would be a great place to go with a few friends, grab a beer and play some games. It reminds me of 5 Points Coffee & Spice-if you can remember that! A place to chill out for a while-work on something or just play some games. Definitely check it out!

I had been to the old location off King Street that was much larger, but this location is just as fun. Games are stashed everywhere to encourage patrons to start a game at their table. The wine and craft beer selection is stellar. Snacks are prepackaged for purchase so that eliminates the whole wait staff and you can even order from neighboring restaurants. I heard that you can bring in your own food and just chill ordering drinks (What???!That is so awesome). They only serve beer, wine and cider but that seems to be the perfect amount. I went with the happy hour red and my mom loved the Apple Pie Cider. The first crowd was all male. This seems to be the living room/watering hole for the locals. Music is mellow and you see something new every time you glance around. Even the bathroom is electric and unusual. The owner works the bar and very personable and fun. She seems to know everyone's name and welcomes them with a hug. Clearly, this is the "Cheers" of craft beer. I like the weekly events and I really hope this place takes off. It is unusual and unique. The artist part of me appreciates the quirky aspect. One thing that I haven't seen in other watering holes is that you can buy bottles and cans of beverages right off the shelf or cooler. Enjoy a glass and take a bottle home! What a good idea.

The Silver Cow has arrived....in Murray Hill. Yeah yeah, I went to the original location on King Street, but now it's right around the corner from my house....so I can walk there...YAY! Right on Edgewood is this cute eclectic bar that boasts about their diverse variety of beers for your liking. Along with many beers, they have wine, cocktails, and coffee. If they don't have want you want on tap or in bottles, make a suggestion, as they are still getting to know what to stock the bar with and would love to know what you want to drink. The staff is friendly, and willing to help make you comfy in the new place. They have some bar seating and a few tables and chairs, with plenty of board games to keep you busy for hours! Decorated with deer heads, old framed pictures, and various items, with bookshelves full of glasses, and drinks that you can buy. This place will make you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in the door! Happy Hour M-F 4-7pm I look forward to The Silver Cow being my go to place to visit! Just a side note that they also have plenty of non-alcoholic drinks available. And they allow you to bring outside food in and if you'd like to order they now have a binder full of menus of local restaurants in the area that will deliver. THIS place is shaping up to be my best neighborhood bar!

Really fun atmosphere and employees. Love the new location and the beer choices. So many old school board games that I've never even seen before.

The Silver Cow is such a wonderful addition to Murray Hill. They offer beer, wine, craft sodas, coffee, tea, and so much more. Take a second to enjoy the antiques that fill the shop and sip on a unique brew. If you enjoy playing board games, The Silver Cow will not disappoint!

Can't tell you how stoked we are to finally have this place in the Murray Hill neighborhood! The owner was super lovely to speak with and provided us with samples of what they had on tap to help us decide what we'd like, ended up with a really tasty Sour. The place itself is wonderful to look at- like if a beautiful antique shop & your fave dive bar had a baby. Happy hour was a plus- $3 for some drafts & $1 off others (and they didn't even sell the unmentionable mainstream labels:D) Kombucha on draft too!

A cute fun and chill place to relax with coffee, beer and wine. Millions of board games to choose from, great music selection!

Let's use this as an excuse to finally go to The Casbah Cafe Cabaret & Hookah Lounge for the first time". They're at 3628 St Johns Avenue in Avondale. We've heard so many good things and finally made it there tonight. We started with the Old City Sampler because it has hummus along with a whole bunch of other stuff. I mean....a LOT of food for the price. This is probably going to come as a surprise but among as a surprise to many but because of the sampler we both had grape leaves for the first time ever tonight. We loved them! And yes, my wife really liked the hummus. I ordered the Shawarma Platter with Lamb for my entree. Normally I wait til the end of a review to shout a server but I'll throw that part in here. Not only was Victoria delightful but she REALLY saved me from mistakes I was going to make in picking sides. I was trying to go as plain as possible with my sides and she really steered my towards Baba Ganoush. Again, this was my first time ever trying it. Listen to Victoria. Order the things she tells you to order. It was great! The lamb itself was great but honestly, I expected it to be. I was more taken with the fact that everything worked together so well given I'd never tried a whole side dish before. On her own accord, my wife tried something entirely new to her as well. She ordered Musakhan Wraps. She loved how tangy the meat was even though she wasn't expecting it and she liked the texture a lot. The wrap dough was flaky and great. She got to pick one side so she chose more hummus because that's what brought us to the dance this evening. This was a GREAT first visit to Casbah. I totally get why we've heard such great things. Like so many places, I'm sure there's a ton on the menu we need to go back for too. Even though I already gave her a shout out, it's worth saying one more time that Victoria was an awesome server! My sibling that lives in Jacksonville was also trying to explore more of the Riverside area. Wildcrafters was easy to find. Be prepared to look for nearby street parking though. She told us that her first intro to kombucha was done with care, and she wanted to make sure any new customers also felt that way. We each tried different drinks and all of them were delicious! To be honest, I didn't love the numbing effect that kombucha had on my throat, so I won't be having it again, but the experience was chill and a great way to reconnect with my siblings.

We came on a Sunday, right when the band starts at 8pm, and the energy was perfect. Just a heads up: Sundays get busy, so arrive early if you can. We slid in during Happy Hour (5-7pm) and the salmon bites were the star of the show -- seasoned perfectly and so addictive. For dinner, we ordered the lamb chops, seafood mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and stewed oxtails with rice and peas. The seafood mac? Honestly the best I've ever had -- creamy, cheesy, loaded with seafood. The mashed potatoes were unbelievably smooth and melted right in your mouth. The oxtails had amazing flavor, but I do wish they had cooked a little longer for that perfect fall-off-the-bone tenderness. Drink-wise, my lemon drop was delicious and balanced. My husband's Henny Sidecar was strong -- no complaints there. The drinks took a while to come out, but they made up for it with complimentary shots, which we definitely appreciated. The only downside is the 2-hour table limit paired with slower service. We would've stayed for more drinks and hookah, but the timing didn't really make sense. Still, the food was so good that we're already planning to come back just for the plates alone. Legacy Lounge has major potential -- great vibes, great food, and a beautiful place to support. We'll be back!

I enjoyed the food; however, I think some details were missing or off for the price point. For example, the rib eye was requested for medium temp; however, it was medium rare and very chewy. The broiled ocean platter was kind of skimpy for the price point, and the shrimp & lobster diavolo were pretty good (though lobster wasn't very tender and slightly rubbery). I also wasn't given a pasta spoon- so had slight difficulty eating it. It took quite a while for us to get our food, approx 45 minutes? Our waitress was very kind and checked in- but forgot the lemons I had asked for- for the waters. We had inputted in our reservation request to not be in the center- and we were sat in the middle; though, 80% of the tables were empty. The rooftop bar is definitely the highlight, offering great views of the river and downtown skyline, especially around sunset. It creates a relaxing vibe that works well for date nights, drinks with friends, or special occasions. The food overall was good, with a menu that offers a nice mix of seafood, steaks, and Southern-inspired dishes. Some items were excellent and well-prepared, while others felt a little pricey for the portion size. The cocktails were creative and well-made, though drinks can add up quickly. Service was friendly and professional, but during busy hours things moved a bit slower than expected. Parking can also be limited depending on the time of day, so arriving early helps. While it may not be the cheapest dining option in Jacksonville, the rooftop views and overall ambiance make it worth checking out at least once.
