Walked in and was seated. Got up to use the restroom.came back to my seat and was greeted by a giant cockroach and my feet. Felt nauseous so I got out of there as soon as possible. The funny thing is before I got up to use the bathroom our waitress was eyeing something on my corner of the booth I thought that she had spilled some water but I'm pretty sure she saw the roach but didn't say anything to alarm us. I regret that I didn't take a picture but I was so grossed out and shocked I just left and will NEVER come back. read more

Expensive! the AYCE is pricier than Okuras, and they are nowhere near Okuras fish quality. The rolls are hit or miss, some are ok, some are good and some are great. Shady location, which does not help the experience . read more

One star is too generous of a rating. ROACHES! GIANT ONES! We just left the restaurant typing this review in the car. We were seated at a booth. My wife got up to use the restroom and when she came back. Giant roach in front of our booth! Service has never been good each time we've been here but the sushi tastes ok. But I will never bring my family here again after seeing this. read more

I have been coming to Dragon Sushi off and on for over five years, and have never had a problem with service, and the sushi is always okay. I only had a different experience today when I was charged $10.00 extra for the sushi that I chose to take home, and was not warned about this before I was charged. I talked to the supervisor who then told me that I could sit down and eat the rest of my sushi, but I had to go, and wasn't really interested in sitting in front of them while shoving 10 pieces of mediocre sushi into my mouth. Just a note to the management, maybe you should train your employees to be a little more understanding, and not offer your customers to sit down and eat the rest of their sushi, because if I wanted to do that I would have done it in the first place. read more

A Great sushi bar in indio, I'm very excited about finding this one. I was stoked it is all you can eat, I will be going back.

I would give no stars if I could, I went with my friends and waited about 15 minutes and our server never came to greet us. The restaurant was basically empty so there really was no reason we weren't serviced. The food is good but customer service is shitty. I recommend going to Ralph's over this place lmao read more

The sushi was delicious the customer service could have been a little better the waitress took forever just to bring out our food nor did she ask if we needed refills she would just pass our table up love this place but they definitely need to work on their customer service skills if they want to keep their customers read more

I ate here around 4-5 pm on a Tues. as it was recommended...but OMgosh...I ordered 2 salmon & rice sushi & it was fake white fish colored & marbled to look like salmon, horrible that supposedly Japanese restaurant would think ppl are stupid to not know the difference! It's insulting. I ordered tempura shrimp & tempura calamari, can't go wrong with tempura...right? Wrong! Tiny sliver of shrimp with tons of "breading" crusted, thick & raw inside! No wonder they don't include any rice with it. The calamari was ok but let me put it this way...I will not eat here EVER again! Try it but be forewarned. Some ppl eat anything when they don't know good sushi...sorry but true... read more

We used to go here often. We will no longer go there. They raised the price of the all you can eat to $35 per person. A $10 increase. We almost did not stay just because of the price increase alone, but we used to love this place so we gave it a shot. It was definitely not worth it. The servers seemed annoyed that we were there and that they had to work (that's what it seemed like). Our server kept checking on us, what felt like every 2 minutes, but seemed annoyed each time. The sushi had a lot more rice than normal. It tasted good but the rolls easily fell apart. It was a bad atmosphere and for that price, well, it's cheaper to have all you can eat sushi on El Paseo... Edit* I guess the place we used to go to on El Paseo is no longer there, but luckily there are so many more sushi place in the desert now! I can't wait to try them. Maybe Dragon Sushi tanking was a blessing in disguise. read more

This place has great sushi. I love a few of their rolls and the service is not great but ok. However, it seems that every time we go the prices go up. Honestly, I think they are to pricey now and might not go there anymore. I gave it 3 stars because of the prices, but food is good. read more

Came from out of town and got here at 11 when it says they are open but they don't open till 12. Won't give a good review till they change that. read more

Nice restaurant, bad experience. It was my first time here. We were seated after 5 minutes, but for 20 minutes no one came to help us or take our drink orders until we called out for help. I ordered the fish and chips, it came with rice, salad and miso soup. When served, the food was good, except for the BOTTLE CAP FROM A DOS EQUIS BEER IN MY MISO SOUP that I almost bit into. This is a safety hazard and health issue, so we politely asked our waitress if we can speak to a manager, but one never came and the waitress never came back to our table. We had to ask another server for their manager and still no manager came. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. My conclusion for this place nice establishment, decent food, but customer service didn't exist here. April 19th @ 9:15pm. read more

Had the monkey brain roll, heart attack , Angel roll and California roll. Very quick friendly service. One of my new go to sushi spots in the valley. They also had live music playing (Spanish) which wasn't bad but I don't mind it. read more

Sara Torres gave probably the worst service possible. Including my table which is only of two there were probably 3 tables taken at this restaurant. No excuse for the bad slow service. Never got refills or even asked if we needed refills. We had to get up n ask for water because our server never came when we first got sat. The manager had to come check on us only because she saw us looking around to see where our server was at. Ordered drinks that just sat at the bar until the bartender brought them over herself. Had a question about a specialty roll that she was supposedly going to get the answer to which she never returned with. But she was so persistent when it came to taking our money. Just wasn't a good experience at all especially for our first time. Not coming back. read more

A couple of girlfriends and I met up on a Friday night at Dragon Sushi to enjoy some drinks and appetizers. The place was packed and had a great, lively vibe. There was a great mix of people, too. Instead of waiting in line for a table, we sat at the bar. It was comfortable and the itamae behind the sushi counter was pleasant. Our server, Karen Grajeda, was friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. We had a few beers, sushi, and tempura, and the total price was reasonable. I'd definitely go back again and recommend this place for friends looking to enjoy a good time, as well as families looking for a fun dinner out. read more

This is my favorite sushi restaurant in the valley. I come here often and Jane is always my server, shes so kind and professional. I'll always ask for her when I come here! read more

I just can't give more than three stars. This place is entirely average. It smells of cleaning solution. The service is slow and only mildly interested. The sushi would probably come out faster if the guy was not staring at the TV while he worked. The flavors are unoriginal. I don't know if it matters, but I did not see a single Japanese person. Lastly...I have never had good food at a sushi place where you sit at the bar, but don't order from the sushi chef. I still haven't. read more

I had the Arabia Roll and all I have to say it was the most disgusting roll I've ever had! My stomach immediately was not having it.

This place is terrible. It is completely horrible and it doesn't even deserve the one star It got. This place is infested with roaches and there was hair in the food. the customer service was awful and they left the plate on tables forever. The whole time I felt like I was being spied on like if I was a criminal Do these people know something called privacy???? read more

My husband and I had been to this Sushi restaurant in the past and we really liked their food BUT this last time that we went, we tried a new Sushi dish and my husband didn't care for it, so we sent it back to the Sushi Chef and he personally came to our table and told us we couldn't return our food and that it was our fault that we ordered it. Thankfully our waitress didn't charge us for it otherwise we would have thrown a fit!!! BUT We will never be going back there again! I have never been to a restaurant where they did that!! Who does that??? Customer is always right!!!!!! read more

First of, the location is beautiful it has a warm inviting yet modern feel to it. The appetizers and sushi are great. I know the Mexican food incorporated in the menu. I don't have any complains about food or ambience. The only complaint would be the service, the server carried on conversations with her coworkers while we waited to be taken care of and that continued on through the night. We had to always ask for items we needed she wasn't on top of her tables. Overall good experience maybe a stricter management would benefit the restaurant. read more

Dragon is my favorite place to dine in. The ambiance is nice and the live music is always a great touch! Every time we go we always request to sit in Jenelle's section. We always end up at table 105 for some reason. She provides the best service and is always so helpful with all of the questions I have about the sushi selection! Thank you Jenelle! Keep up the great work! And thank you dragon for always providing the best food! read more

Decided to try this place. Came on a Sunday before 3 PM. They have an All You Can Eat menu - Lunch is $22 and Dinner is $29 I like that they have standard rules for the all you can eat menu to discourage WASTE. We had the lunch all you can eat: Miso soup was a little heavy on the seaweed but nicely flavored and delicious Edamame was warm and salted Vegetable tempura came with 3 pieces and good Agedashi tofu came with 2 pieces very good Garlic fried rice very garlicky and very good Shrimp tempura roll 8 pieces was delicious Spicy tuna roll 8 pieces was good and spicy Vegetable roll 8 pieces good and fresh California roll 8 pieces was good House salad was fresh but the dressing was too gingery for my liking Albacore tuna sushi was very good and fresh Cajun tuna sushi had mild Cajun seasoning but good and fresh The servers cleared the table of empty dishes quickly. We didn't have to ask for refills because our server Marly was on top of it. She was friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was served quickly. I think if you try the all you can eat menu make sure you come when it isn't busy. I can see how they would have slow service when this place is busy. That's like any place in LA if the place is good. Liked the price and the service. Will definitely come back. read more

Fast and great food I come twice a week and I love this little hole In the wall place.

Far from the best sushi I've had in the valley. I sometimes find my sashimi and nigiri to be quite firm, like not completely thawed out firm, but the sushi is great overall, considering how inexpensive it is. Also this happened more often back when staff wasn't friendly and service was just awful, so I'm glad things have improved in that aspect. Now service is quite friendly, especially Gabriel, an amazing guy, by far my favorite server there. I'm glad there is that change of staff, unless of course I was just cursed with an awful server in the past. The ambience is not as calm or peaceful as other sushi places, it's actually quite the opposite, a lot of tv's broadcasting sports and what not. However I'm sure this is what the owners were going for. Ultimately this place has good service, alright sushi, but an unauthentic feel, however it's definitely worth a try. I'd recommend this place if you're just trying to hang out and eat sushi with friends but don't want to be a bother with your awesome vibes, and if you or a friend are looking to lose their "sushi v-card." read more

The worst customer service ever. There sushi is not good enough to have such rude waitresses. I'll just drive to another town next time. Beware!!! read more

This was a nice little spot. The food was pretty good, the service was good. The sushi had too much rice but other than that, I enjoyed myself. I'll be back!! =D read more

As far as the freshness of the raw fish goes, it is excellent, one of the best in the valley. I'm not into deep fried foods or all of the fancy rolls and dishes but, the salmon sashimi, tuna and yellowtail sushi delish! The atmosphere, sometimes there's music sometimes not. The TV's are on all different channels. Service needs to step it up with taking the empty dishes away and especially, when I'm having dessert, I'm not a fan of smelling soy sauce and tempura while we're eating ice cream. read more

Poor service. A member of our party ordered "all you can eat," the first round came in perfectly, then the server took 15 minutes to bring back the menu. The entire party was done eating before any of his other rolls came out. He asked to just cancel and pay for the two small rolls he ate. The manager, Isabel, was very rude and did nothing to help the customer, she simply stated that it should be common knowledge that all you can eat takes longer than the usual menu items. We will be calling the owners tomorrow and taking our business elsewhere read more

I visited the Indio location as I was on a date with my husband a couple of days ago. We were out to celebrate and arrived around 5 pm. The restaurant was 1/4 occupied and the remaining tables were either dirty or clean. There was staff walking around not doing anything about the dirty tables. More than enough staff and tables were available to sit us down we waited 20 mins to be sat and once we were at the booth we were sat at you could tell it was only given a quick pass with a rag. I found this out because I had sushi rice sticking to me and when I looked down I also noticed there were about 2 different menus littered under our table along with food particles and trash. Our server got us water and disappeared for a while when she finally came back and took the order she seemed to try and pressure us into ordering the more expensive items on the menu, she didn't seem to care for our wants except hers. I was extremely irritated at this point and we shortly walked out of the restaurant after ordering due to the worst customer service experience I've been through in a long time. We were in the restaurant going through this chaos for a total of 1 hour and 10 mins. And we still didn't have our food served. I'm glad I left as I had a much better dinner celebration at the La Quinta Resort. read more

So there have been many positive changes since my last review. I have been hesitant to update my review but after deciding to give them another chance and going there a few more times I have finally decided to do so. As I said before, I was hesitant to go back but a few friends shared their positive experiences and that motivated me to try the place again. Ever since I decided to go back, any time I have gone to eat there I have received great food and great customer service. My experience now is very different from my previous experience and I couldn't be happier. This is now definitely a place to go (so much that my husband and I did a Valentine's dinner here where the staff was very helpful in providing a very nice setting and also providing a very nice wine bottle service). Dragon sushi has improved very much and I am happy to review and give it 4 stars for all the great changes. read more

Maria the waitress deserves a raise! Even though it was busy she was very attentive and made sure we were taken care off! She is friendly and does an excellent job at making customers feel welcomed! I give it a 5 star rating! I stopped in for a quick meal today wanting to try something new. We sat at 106 and the young lady Jenelle that was our server was so professional and had a great attitude helping us decide what to try out since it was our first time visiting. It was delicious! I'll go back for the food but her customer service was beyond the expectations. read more

I had the gyoza and red dragon roll. Both were decent, but the roll was a bit too sweet for my taste, and the the gyoza was a tad overcooked. Also, the prices were on the high end for lunch, and and the EDM music playing in the background was fairly loud. Overall I would say a good sushi place for the immediate area, but not compared to others in the valley. read more

Worst service ever. Host at front "Amelia" was a rude young little girl. Forgot about us and then had the nerve to slam our menus on our table. So then our waitress comes and we start explaining to her how she just walked by our table twice and she starts talking over us. Very rude workers. They surely don't know anything about customer service. Finally we got a man server and we told him what happened and he said he would take care of it. Hopefully he did. Won't be visiting this place ever again. They need to teach these young people how to be respectful. The customers always right. Not Happy! read more

So disappointed with the service here at dragon sushi. We were meeting a friend here last night to catch up and we were left waiting almost and hour and a half to get our food. Our friend received his first and waited on me and my husband. By the time it all got there he's was cold and we were over it. The beef teriyaki was way over cooked and might wanna bring your own water cause the staff won't bother to fill your glasses. Such a shame, all my husband ever talks about is how good this place was. Keyword word being WAS. read more
