Sat in the bar, super friendly waitress, timely with bringing out all courses and it was cooked to order. We had the Korean spare ribs, Yang chow fried rice AMAZING!! And honey walnut shrimp. We will have leftovers for days! Great for large groups and hungry individuals. We will be back. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. My husband had came here before me and said I needed to come back. I love food but a few genres I am super picky and Chinese is one. He must have thought I would like it and was worth the risk of me complaining. I wasn't hoping for much- I expected the usual gloppy type of Chinese I have been running across lately. This place had none of that. Flavors were really good. The spring roll wasn't greasy and had a unique feeling of some rice noodles mixed in. They have a sushi bar, which looked extensive. A Chinese place that serves sushi. Sounds scary, right? I gave it a chance. Husband and I were not completely on the same page with food, so I thought this would be a good option. We ordered the appetizer plate from the Chinese food menu, and picked out a few rolls of sushi, as well. The Chinese food was great, and we received complimentary hot tea. No one around our booth was ordering sushi, so we were anxious to see what came from the sushi bar. When our rolls arrived, we were pleasantly surprised at how they appeared, and quickly found that the taste and freshness exceeded our expectations. Honestly, this is some of the best sushi I've had in Oregon. They remodeled recently, as well. It's really nice and clean inside. The entrance has a water feature on both sides with koi fish. There is a sushi bar with seating that is separate from the rest of the restaurant. We will have to try more of the Chinese menu, but so far, this is the best sushi we have found in the area. read more

Night and day difference from the old eyesore, looks like they spent some money. I'm leery of any non-Japanese place offering sushi, so we passed on this Chinese restaurant's raw fish selection. Plus, they use imitation crab. While the decor is clean and ambiance grand the menu is old school boring. Nevertheless, the beef and green beans were good. Some tofu dish with veggies was tasteless. We opted for the pork fried rice over regular white for $1, but it tasted oily and dry. Portions are quite ample, prices fair, but not a deal. In sum, the food is nothing special. We have eaten here before and liked the food and service. Very nice people. That said, shortly after getting our food on 10/01/2019 and beginning to eat my partner looks over my shoulder and asks, "OMG...Is that a roach?!" I turn and YES, it's on the seatback. I used to work for a pest company amd usually can smell a problem restaurant. We got up and headed for the door, the poor girl that served us asks if we would please wait for the manager so SHE doesn't have to pay for our meal. He brings out books showing regular visits from Ecolab. Regular visits NEVER get rid of the initial infestation, and until you do, you are throwing good money after bad. Paying for the 1 big job upfront will save you several wasted trips at 1/4 the cost the initial could have been. I told him, I am not blaming them, I am blaming their Pest Tech, but they NEED to either get another company or just pay for the more expensive big job. Ecolab has failed this establishment!!! Still...if there are roaches in the place, hanging out in the dining room, then I am NOT eating there! Ecolab, Terminix, and many pest places try to sell the idea of tenting the whole building, but we all know (in the industry) that roaches could survive a nuclear holocaust. They need IGRs, backpack vacuums, baits, sprays and a diligent team to sweep through weekly until they have them all, then give detailed instructions on preventative measures, then...with monthly retreats and sprays....the place can FINALLY reopen for business. Until then, don't eat here, please don't bring your poor kids here, they NEED a good service. Roaches WILL make you sick!!! read more

We have eaten here many times and loved the service and food. We love spicy but since COVID-19 the food is so spicy hot it's inedible!! I mean it's red not brown sauce and no flavor just heat. When we specifically said mild so it would be edible it was exactly the same as regular. The older lady said you should order it with no spice. That wasn't an option given when we ordered the food. To make matters worse they refused to remake it, offer something else or refund our money. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! read more

The good news ... Uber eats super fast got it here hot. The bad news.. wasn't very good. Fried shrimp Batter was weird... tasted like bisquick . Fried rice blah , Sub gum ok, bbq pork ok . Best thing was s&s chicken (which is basically chicken fingers with sweet-and-sour sauce) Not worth repeating even though portions are large unless you want a lot of blah Chinese food . The food runner spilled a glass of water all over my stepmother, apologized, said "I've got to run the rest of this food" and took off while we moved to a dry table. I complained about this to our server, who apologized but didn't offer to knock even a penny off our tab. Food quality has suffered and prices are up. I took my Son here for dinner for possibly the last time we will eat out in a long time because he is moving to NC next week. I ordered a combination meal with sweet and sour pork, shrimp, chicken subgum chow mein and rice. My Son ordered the sea food platter. My meal was okay except the pork, which was dry as though it had been reheated more than once. I had one of my Son's oysters and it was awful! This was meant to be a lasting memorable occasion and I was disappointed. I have been eating here for 20 years and never served food this poor. I'm giving a 3 star review, but I considered giving a 2 star review. I do like that they offer sushi, until I ordered some sushi that was not good at all. It didn't make me sick, but the sushi chef cut the fish far too thick and it was just terrible. All other sushi leading up to that experience had been good, so maybe once I'm past being grossed out I might try it again. Their Chinese food is typical American Chinese food, and their staff aren't exactly on the ball, but friendly enough. This is the worst place to go to eat. Their customer service is atrocious- actually is there even customer service?? They didn't bring all the food we ordered. My soda was empty for 20 minutes as the server was busting tables (the place wasn't busy and nobody was coming) he was behind my booth and I said in a somewhat loud voice in hope he heard that I have been waiting for my refill and he continues to clean the table. (It was clear we needed things because we were looking at every employee in hopes that they would gather that we needed their attention) Honestly wouldn't even rate it 1 out of 5- id actually rate it .25 out of 5. After years of wondering if I just don't like Chinese food like other Americans, or if Gresham's Chinese food scene sucked, along came this place!! The beautiful building finally opened and is being used for what it should be: delicious, reasonable priced Asian food. The lobby immediately makes you feel like this isn't your average "quick and greasy" Food Palace. Everything is obviously newer and very clean, and even the staff was well put together, though our host wasn't the friendliest until it came time to pay and leave. But onto the important part; the food! (We took pictures for the curious) We started with crab puffs, which were delicious! A nice balance of cream cheese and crab, and we weren't disappointed. We were pleased that the cook (from the taste of it) was using fresh, clean, and decent quality oil. Our main dishes, which my husband and I always share family style from our plates, was very good, fresh, and a nicely balanced between veggie/meat/noodle. Not too greasy, and made with care, we WILL be back! Only thing I wish I would of tried their sushi while we were there.... Update: been there several times now, and while service can be a bit hit and miss (it's not horrible just some are a bit slow) and the floor needs swept a bit more often after the lunch crowd leaves, the food is always EXCELLENT. I loved this place, went there a few weeks ago at lunch. The food was delicious, the plate was enormous, they gave me soup and tea before the main course and it was really cheap. The waitress was really nice, she was from Taiwan and since I'm learning Chinese I practiced it with her a little bit. Clean, vegetarian friendly and by that time it wasn't crowded. Probably one of the most spicy and delicious spicy tuna I have had! I have had a lot of sushi and this place was delicious! Prices are reasonable and good sizes of sushi rolls. We ordered Hawaiian roll- hands down the best! And the tsunami roll was also amazing! Definitely will be back! Service was amazing and there is plenty of parking.
