Went in for lunch at 2:47 during my 30 minute lunch on a super hot day. I sat down only to be told the cashier forgot to tell me they close at 3:30 and it had to be to go ,after I already sat down and paid and they were prepping food. There is no sign posted anywhere they close at 3:30pm. I said the hours of operation show close at 8pm. Cashier told me sorry it's for our lunch break. Had to sit outside in the heat to eat my lunch. If a sign was posted to advise customers and not after I paid and had a choice to go somewhere else with air conditioning. Very inconvenient and frustrating on a day of 93 degree weather. read more

We eat here probably at least once a week. The food is always fast and fresh, and comes with less guilt than other quick meal options. I personally get the chicken katsu or teriyaki, sometimes with gyoza (a favorite). The salad is always crunchy and crisp, but getting a side of sautéed veggies is good too. When I go to Gresham, it's only for Sakura Express and a little grocery run at Fred Myer's. My go to is the spicy pork. They do it just right. However, I went the other day to find new items on the menu!! Korean fried chicken!! If you never had Korean fried chicken then you're missing out. There are a few spots in Portland, but hands down Sakura Express has the best Korean fried chicken! Its extremely delicious! Portion sizes are generous for the price, the sauce is amazing, and the chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I tried the Sweet Heat so far, but it's always on my mind. I don't live too near, so I ate a chicken on our way home, and it still kept its crunchiness by the time we were home. This is key during Covid-19 times when we can't dine-in. The food is good. I had ramen the first time and it was good. I had the combination chicken with gyoza, rice, and salad the second time and I would liek to try some veggie combo next. The service is friendly and while it takes time it is because they are getting a lot of phone orders. However they use styrofoam. Why? I'd give 4 stars if they stopped using styrofoam. read more

This place gives the MOST meat out of the handful of teriyaki places that I've intentionally tried in and around Gresham. Plus it tastes great and they are quick to order. I actually come here at least every other week. Again, they consistently have the most meat and at the same price. read more

We ordered mild ramen, not spicy and had it delivered. We were delivered 2 spicy ramen that were too spicy to eat. If we did not have the mild option we would not have chosen ramen. We got a $3 refund from Doordash ($1.50 each meal). When we contacted the restaurant they replied that Doordash did not allow them to refund us. So, we were stuck with two meals that no one could eat, disappointing. We were not even given the option to pick up the milder broth (it comes in two large cups - one the noodles and veggies and meat and the other the broth). We shop at Fred Meyer's very often and this could have been a restaurant that we would frequent, but needless to say we will not order anything else from this restaurant. read more

The food is good and I have no complaints about it. I do have an issue with the 'To Go' service. The containers are made of thin cardboard and get soggy from the oils/sauce in the food. The rice balls stick and by the time you get to the bottom of it, you end up scraping up cardboard bits along with the rice on your fork. If you take out multiple orders, they stack them and the one on the bottom gets flattened because the paper trays cannot support the weight as it gets soggy and wet. read more

Well worth the drive from Sandy for some good teriyaki. The customer service is great, they always greet you with a smile. The food comes out quickly and tastes great. Their teriyaki sauce has better flavor than most other places and their chicken isn't dry at all, like some others I've experienced. They give you great portions for the price as well. Very pleased. The food came out to us very quickly but you could tell it was fresh and hadnt been sitting on the grill for a while. The chicken was so tender and flavorful. The salad was excellent too. Friendly employees, not really any music in the place though. For my sister and I to go and each get a plate of food (teriyaki chicken, salad, and two balls of rice and two drinks each) it was about $18. So not bad.
