My friend used to live in the area and was surprised there was a new ramen shop in the neighborhood. She asked if I would be interested in trying it, and I was game, of course! We arrived on a rainy Saturday afternoon, and there were already some customers, but overall it was not busy. The staff greeted us right away and took us to our booth. The ladies were very accommodating with my friend's toddler by helping us get a child seat, a kid's drink, and a cute set of Peppa Pig training chopsticks. Needless to say, the kid loved it. One thing worth mentioning is their decoration. It's definitely meant to be maximally decorated with cuteness. On their feature wall, they had floor-to-ceiling shelves displaying Dragon Ball figurines. The rest of the restaurant was decorated with a lot of cute cat decorations. Also, there's no way you would miss the moving ramen advertising light box as it pulls the noodles up and down, grabbing your full attention. Seriously, I could stare at that machine for days. We ordered a black garlic ramen, miso ramen, and a chicken stir-fried noodle, and liked them all. The black garlic ramen has a layer of black garlic oil on top, making it look much darker and intimidating. To our surprise, the garlic flavor was subtle, so it was easy to eat. My miso ramen had a rich broth with two generous portions of chashu, with various toppings including corn, bamboo, wood ear mushrooms, and green onion. I had no problem finishing the entire bowl. We also got a bowl of stir-fried chicken noodles, and it was very generously portioned and tasted good. It was savory with a bit of sweetness. It was a big hit with my friend's toddler, as she kept asking for more. Overall, we liked this ramen shop. Not only does it have good food, it also has fun decorations to keep your eyes busy. my mom just got into ramen so wanted to take her to a place in Oregon for ramen! There was a lot of different appetizers so kinda went a little overboard. My favorite was the karaage since it was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Personally didn't like the spicy wontons as much as wanted to. The ramen was not bad. The broth was pretty good and the noodles were thick. I was feeling a little bloated this day so didn't eat as much but everything was still pretty good. Came by on Saturday for lunch. Wasn't too busy. Restaurant is decorated with lots of Japanese cats. They have a wall of Japanese anime toys. The food is very flavorful. I ordered a Tan Tan Ramen and Chicken rich broth. And taoyaki. Plenty of seating available. Some booths and some tables. You can also sit at the bar. The taoyaki was delicious. Very flavorful and yummy. I enjoyed the tan tan noodles with a little bit of mild spice. The chicken rich ramen was full of good chicken broth with 3 pieces of sliced chicken on top. Definitely preferred the chicken one because it was definitely more flavors in the broth. Very cute decorations in the restaurant. Umbrellas as decorations. We stopped by on opening day (March 5, 2025). It's a great addition to the neighborhood. It is a small restaurant, though they have used the space well, and the interior decorations are really next level. It is very instagrammable. Cozy booths, lanterns, and artificial cherry blossoms really give a great vibe. On opening day they were working out their kinks (food order came out at different times), but the staff made up for it with kindness and attentiveness. We had ramen, which was good (not the absolute best I've had, but lots of toppings, and decent flavor). We also tried their xiao long bao -- it was similarly good, but not the best I've had in Portland (it would be improved if they served it with some black vinegar or other sauce... they did have chili crisp on the table, however, which is nice). If it weren't their opening day, I'd probably go 4 stars. However, I am enthusiastic to have them in our neighborhood, and have high hopes that they'll continue to iterate and improve to a 5-star establishment. Give it a shot! read more

The food was some of the best I've had. The crab puffs were perfect, didn't use sweet cream. The xiao long bao was the best I have ever had hands down! Got all four items in less than ten minutes, constant water refills even though I was only there for thirty minutes. The atmosphere was quiet and welcoming and the decorations were nice; a whole wall of dragon ball figures and beautiful designs of the chairs. Would 110% recommend! Stumbled upon a new ramen shop at Gresham Station. It's a great addition to the Gresham area. The interior is so cute. I love the figurine wall decorations and cherry blossoms ceiling. Service was attentive and proactive. We came with a toddler and they were wonderful on accommodating any needs my little one have. Very family friendly and food came out quick that makes our dining experience easier with a kid. :) Now, I was so stoked on the food. Before coming, I saw Black Garlic ramen on the menu and that made me wanted to try this new place right away. There's barely any ramen place in the area that has black garlic broth. The one I can recall from is on the West side (too far for me). The ramen came out hot, with huge portions (a lot of toppings), and the garlicky umami broth were amazing! Although the ramen was delicious but I couldn't finish my bowl... the portion size was no joke! My partner got the mala spicy ramen and he liked it. We also ordered geso karaage as an appetizer and enjoyed that as well. For drinks, we tried the cheesy mango fruit tea (tastes like mango slushy with salted cream on top) and muteki house lemon tea (has a hint of fruity black tea flavor with smashed lime). The service is friendly and fairly quick. But the actual food you get is quality the meat in the soup is fatty in just the right way so it falls apart when you eat it and get just the right amount of food. I got pretty used to it not being open and then yesterday I was driving by and the neon open sign beckoned me!! I made a left instead of a right off the street to turn around and get in that door!! So glad!! Ordered to go 2 ramen dishes! Got it home and the serving was large enough I could not finish it all but I did. Haha. I tried the Mala Spicy Shoyu ramen. Spicy for sure but don't take it from me because I really can handle the heat so check that out with your server before committing. The pork in the ramen was so flavorful and tender. After waiting forever for this restaurant to finally open, I'm here to say that the wait was definitely worth it. Hands down, the best ramen shop in Gresham. Everything that we ordered was incredibly good. The ramen was full of flavor, the dumplings were on point snd the fried rice was some of the best that I have ever had. The restaurant was packed and it took us a while to get served but that is to be expected when a restaurant first opens up and they are this busy. Once our order was taken, the food showed up surprisingly fast and everything was delicious. The teas and drinks are on another level and as busy as things were, the owner and her staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. I am definitely going to be a regular. read more

I can't review the restaurant itself as I ordered out. But that said, I am so disappointed. I had been so excited when I saw this ramen shop was opening up in Gresham. But that was the most bland "authentic" ramen I have eaten. I couldn't even finish it. The flavor was so watered down. The topping selection is great, the chashu pork and seasoned egg was good, and the ramen itself appears good but unfortunately they really need to sort out their broth which to me is the most important part of the ramen. I ordered the black garlic. Maybe not all of the broths are so bland but I won't be eager to spend my money to find out anytime soon. read more
