I want to preface this review by saying I am not a Chinese buffet guy. I don't really enjoy them. BUT my mother loves it and it was her birthday so we came to celebrate. I really liked the Chinese theme ambiance. I couldn't believe how packed it was on a Monday night. We came on a Monday because they had crab legs on Monday and we were seated on a table on a boat. I'm a One Piece fan so the table on a pirate boat really got me excited lol. Service was quite exceptional. They came and took our plates whenever needed and replenished our waters. The washrooms were also clean and they had a game/arcade room for the kids. Now on to the actual food, they had nice big pieces of salmon and tuna sashimi. I would skip the sushi though. They also had Peking duck which I thought was only alright. The skin wasn't crispy and it wasn't fatty enough. Their shrimp were really fresh and bouncy. I highly recommend it. I also really liked their steak and Galbi ribs. The steamed spicy halibut and their squid tentacles were quite good as well. They also had a noodle station with machine pulled noodles but it was just meh. They also had this Chinese Ginseng soup which we thought was really good! The lamb skewers was good and flavorful as well and their Cha Siu was surprisingly fatty and tasty. For desserts (I tried them all) , the only one I recommend is their ice cream, egg tarts, taro sago and their Oreo Churro. The Oreo Churro really caught me by surprise. It was Crispy on the outside and had a nice chew with cream filling. It also wasn't too sweet. As for the ice cream, they had my favorite black sesame ice cream and it was great. I wouldn't recommend their cakes. It was a bit dry and spongey. Their creme brulee also wasn't that great. It wasn't silky and smooth enough. And the cheesecakes were too dense/tough. The traditional phoenix cookie and their cream puffs were alright. Overall though, this is one of the better AYCE Chinese style buffets in Toronto. There are obviously some hits and some misses but overall, I would say there are more hits. As for pricing, It's $51 for Monday-Thursday and $56 for Friday-Sunday dinner. There was also a promotion on their app. It was $68 off for 4 adults so it turned out to be $33.99 per person. Usually they do accept Amex but not with the discount so I paid with debit

Food here is absolutely amazing! Fresh, tasty and not overly salty like some places. Great variety though we should have called or checked their sites before going. They have crab, oysters, and lobster - however, these are 1. Not available on the same day [daily specials] and limited servings per adult. Still great quality foods and their desserts are pretty good! You've got to try their egg tarts! It is so rich, buttery and flakey! Wish I had started without first! Service is quick and friendly. They ckear your table/dirty playes very quickly - and wmout interrupting your dinner. Washrooms are clean and well kept. It is very spacious all around for mobility scooters/wheelchairs - its just during core dinner hours there's lots of people and kids running around. Great place for a family or group meal!

This is the quintessential Asian buffet. Everything is cooked and flavoured perfectly to fit an Asian's palette. Though it may offer less items than Asian Dragon, the quality and flavour trumps AD every time. Be warned, if you visit on a holiday it will be packed! There is always a crowd lining up for the Peking duck. If Markham is far for you, I think Dragon pearl is related as they design their interior down to their foods identical to Dragon Legend.

Dragon Legend located near Woodbine Ave and Lanark Rd in Markham is an all-you-can-eat Asian lunch and dinner buffet featuring daily specials. Dragon Legend is owned by the same owners as another popular AYCE buffet, Dragon Pearl. In terms of price, there are different costs for toddlers (4 or under), kids (5-7 or 8-11), adults, and seniors. The dinner buffet pricing is more expensive than the lunch buffet as there are more special items during dinner. For a regular dinner buffet, the adult price is $55.99 + tax. In terms of the space, there is plenty of room for large parties, however, reservations are recommended. The place is elegantly decorated in warm lighting with wooden and red accents throughout. There is a dedicated parking lot for the restaurant, however, during busy times (weekend dinners), the parking can be difficult to find. Food wise, the buffet stations are set up in a square kind of layout, where the centre of the buffet features the peking duck wraps (only 2 per person each time you visit the station), as well as other Chinese specialties. There are also soups, sushi/sashimi, grilled meats, fried items, salads/chilled items, fruit, dessert, as well as a noodle station as well. During busy times, the buffet area is a bit of a battleground, as you compete with other diners to grab your food. However, the staff are efficient and quick in replenishing food items. There are also daily specials each day of the week (like crab legs, lamb rack, Dungeness crab, half a lobster, and all you can eat oysters). I've dined at Dragon Legend a few times as well as their sister restaurant Dragon Pearl. They have a good offering of Asian and Western foods, however, the place does get busy at times. I prefer the layout at Dragon Pearl though as the buffet area feels a bit bigger than Dragon Legend. Either way, it's a good buffet with a wide selection of foods, even for the pickiest of eaters. Staff are efficient and quick to clear plates as well as replenish food as well. Overall, a good buffet in the Markham area!

Decided to give this a try during my Toronto trip - and boy was it amazing - Walking in - you'll get a sense of a ancient Chinese Dynasty (or well that was my thought of it) I didn't get many great pictures, as I just wanted to eat lol. They have a pretty large assortment of great Asian food - its like they had an island for Chinese, Japanese and Korean. They had Peking Duck, hand pulled noodles with BBQ pork/duck on the side! Place was very clean during my visit, nicely lit and tables spaced accordingly. Service was quick - empty plates cleared promptly , and dishes were filled by the time you went out for another plate. They have a large selection of desserts, from green tea ice cream - black sesame ice cream, baos , egg tarts , tofu pudding , oh man soo much. My Favorites was the Peking duck, short ribs , hand pulled noodles broth, salmon sashimi , lamb skewers and the ice creams! I will definitely re-visit on my next Toronto trip , as Vancouver doesn't offer anything close to this from my knowledge!

The shrimps are huge!! Grilled quails are delicious! Great quality of oysters! ..... A good place for AYCE with verity of options from grilled to sushi/sashimi to curries. I was really impressed by the size of the salt & pepper shrimps. The crab claws were nicely cracked, thus no hassle needed, and it was juicy and meaty. Seatings are nicely spaced, tables and cutlery are clean, used plates were promptly removed. Overall a nice experience.

Good Chinese buffet option in the area. Dragon legend serves up some authentic chinese food with traditional flavours. There's a lot to choose from here from sushi, stir fry seafood and meats, to Peking duck. They often have special promos and daily features - when I went they even served abalone!

We came to Dragon Legend for our company Christmas dinner at the end of November 2024 this year, and this place is SUPER BUSY! Though it is rammed all the time, guests are still very respectful and get in line for food. The restaurant do ask for a refundable deposit of $200 for large group reservations; our party had over 20 guests. We tried to request a semi-private area, but nothing is guaranteed on the day of. We ended up seated in the middle of a very large hall surrounded by many other tables lol. Our seating time was at 7:30pm, and we still had to wait a little for the table to set up. They do have earlier seating times at 4:30pm and 5pm only. The food was pretty decent. Every guest receives a coupon for 1/2 lobster at the grill station (don't forget the butter!) You are allowed to collect the lobster coupons at your table and get it in one go; it will save everyone a lot of time ^^ My favourite go-to items were the deep fried oysters, Peking duck, braised lamb pot, crispy oyster pancake, and the steamed soups! Overall, great experience; I do recommend avoiding visiting during weekends due to how busy it is.

Dragon Legend in Markham has a festive decor that sets the mood perfectly for an end-of-year gathering. I hadn't been in a while, but it was bustling with customers as soon as they opened. Their Peking duck wraps were just as yummy as I remembered, and the sashimi was fresh and satisfying. The food stations were constantly refilled. Service was fast and efficient, with plates quickly cleared and soft drinks refilled. There was a wide variety of vegetables, meats, and seafood, all seasoned just right -- not overly salty or sweet, as buffet food sometimes can be. While the desserts didn't quite hit the mark, the overall experience was delightful. There was a time when I thought these buffets were overpriced, but in the time of inflation, it all seems very reasonable now.

It's a nice all you can eat buffet. There's different specials depending on the day. We went on a Friday for a birthday celebration (birthday person's meal is free), and there was a whole tuna for sashimi, and oysters. There's a section for claw machines and games for kids while you wait too.

This is one of the best all-you-can-eat sushi spots in Markham! The food is incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the restaurant itself is stunning. My only minor complaint is that it can feel a little crowded at times.

    Cynthia F.

Saw some tiktoks/reels about this buffet before visiting the Markham area and decided to check it out! They advertise cutting a whole tuna on Fridays so we wanted to check that out (unsure if this is a year round thing, so check their site before you go!) We had reservations on a Friday evening and it was decently crowded when we got there. The waiter wasn't sure what time the tuna cutting was happening but was able to give me a ballpark. The buffet is pretty large, with a selection of Chinese selections, sushi, meats, dumplings, Peking duck, and soups. When we were there they were also doing raw oysters, but they were only okay. The Peking duck is served and you can get two pieces at a time (but can go up as many times as you want). We got a plate, and on our second round we happened to see the tuna starting to be cut. This was very showy and cool! The fresh tuna was really good. Overall, I think this is a quantity over quality type place but we enjoyed it for having our expectations as such. For certain foods you almost feel like you're fighting for your life trying to get some because people are being aggressive! (For example, when fresh cuts of beef were put out). With so much great food in the area, I think there are better options, but this was fun once for the tuna cutting.

Service was attentive in the dining rooms and friendly by the hostess station. Lunch had enough items to be happy with, but it seemed like they altered the BBQ/Grill station to breakfast foods, like bacon and fried eggs and had a few empty slots where I remember had items previously. Highs: -Black peppered beef cubes very very tender and flavourful - fried noodles on point - tofu pudding dessert had a gingered sugar syrup to drizzle on top Lows: -peking duck seemed more hard instead of crispy skin - fried egg Left the restaurant very stuffed, kids were happy. They felt this buffet was decent and had more flavour than the buffet on Royal Caribbean. Was worth the trip here today, would return again.

Initially we were going for the idea of breakfast, but timing was a bit off from what we anticipated and it was a really nice lunch date instead. I love the Markham Marriott, the staff is always warm and welcoming. Draco has a very sleek, sophisticated and cozy atmosphere. We both ordered Bacon & Cheddar burgers. I opted for a Caesar salad as an appetizer and hubby ordered their Grilled Wagyu Flat Iron Steak. Let's start with the apps. The Caesar salad was SO good! I wish I had taken a pic, but admittedly, my phone was tucked away and I was caught up in the cozy seating, great food and Christmas vibes of the restaurant and lobby. Grilled Wagyu Flat Iron Steak: $33 - Buttercup Squash Puree and Truffle Oil - Everything you want Wagyu to be - tender, cooked to the perfect temp which left a nice warm red centre. This was melt in your mouth good! The burgers - these were perfection! Draco Bacon Cheddar Burger: $25 - Aged Cheddar with Crispy Bacon Strips; Crispy Onion Straws, Arugula and Garlic Aioli. This was a very well seasoned patty, so juicy and a substantial sized patty of fresh not frozen beef. The bun was lightly toasted, bacon crispy, easily taking this into my top 3 fav spots for burgers! Options for sides include fries, sweet potato fries, poutine, side Caesar or garden salad or truffle fries. We finished off our meal with 2 really good cappuccinos and just took our time before heading home. This was our first time back here in a few years. The food was exceptional as was the service and the warm staff. Draco is the perfect spot for an early morning breakfast, work or lunch date or a nice cozy dinner. They also have Christmas & New Years dinners and brunches. Relax in the restaurant with drinks or in the adjacent lounge, this is a great spot to unwind with some great food and drinks.

I don't know why the hate for this place - perhaps in the classic buffet days the food was bad, but perhaps the shift to buffet at the table (aka a la carte buffet) improved the food quality greatly. The menu is actually reasonably 'authentic' - there isn't much Americanised Chinese food here. Hot & sour soup was decent. There was quite a lot stuff in it. It was quite spicy. The fried oyster was dry and didn't have much flavour. The BBQ spare rib was ok but was hard to eat with the provided plastic cutlery. Plus, the bone fragmented quite a bit which was unpleasant. The breaded shrimps were decent. Pan fried pork chop was a bit plain though it was fried pretty well. Lobster (for the weekend buffet - limit of 1) was a little small but was really good. Again plastic cutlery made eating this a pain. Salt & spicy shrimp was decent. Shrimp dumpling (har gao) was somewhat mushy - not good. Shrimp salad was just boiled shrimp with cocktail sauce; the shrimp was good quality but the style was a little boring. Steamed scallop with garlic came in its shell and was decent. Shanghai noodles was OK; the portion was a little too big for AYCE. The black pepper beef was decent. The curry fishball was awful - rubbery, with curry sauce that tasted like a mix of chili and something used to clean the kitchen. General Tso's chicken was so-so. It wasn't very crispy & had a bit too much dark soy sauce which threw off the balance with the sweet, sour & spicy flavour. The custard bun tasted pretty good - there was enough custard & it was rich, though it wasn't very liquid (even when hot it wasn't a liquid). The BBQ chicken leg was ok - it was crispy and had a soy sauce flavour. Salt & spicy squid was ok, though the squid was a bit soft. The steamed fish was surprisingly good - it was fresh, good quality fish & was quite fragrant. The green beans were fresh, light & retained their bounce, though they could have done with more smoky wok flavour. Sauteed cabbage with chili was decent. The spicy wings were only slightly spicy & were crispy & tasty. Fish-flavoured eggplant was pretty good (and I don't even like eggplant). It  was fragrant with a hint of spiciness. Honey garlic spare ribs were decent - a bit better than BBQ spare ribs, though a touch tough. The desserts weren't very good. Golden Wantons were just fried dough - crispy with a bit of sweet sauce. They were fresh and good. Mini cake was cheesecake but I could see the ice crystals - it hadn't been properly defrosted. It had been taken from the freezer and was dry. The biscuit wa a palmier and it wasn't flaky and was even a bit moist (i.e. bad). The cookie was so-so. The ice cream was green tea flavoured and was ok - there were some ice crystals but it tasted OK. Sweet taro tapioca was actually sago with taro and was okay. The sesame ball was ok - fresh & crispy but with not much stuffing, plus it was mung bean and only passable.

The vegetables were fresh, juicy & there was a nice variety of both & the pesto sauce was good & there was a lot of parmesan. Mashed potatoes were really creamy, with lots of visible cream pooled in the tray. Shrimp & scallops were good, with a rich spiced coconut sauce (which was not spicy). The other dishes were generally decent. The roast beef was below average (could be tastier & juicer) but still ok. The only major disappointment was the mini Yorkshire pudding which was cold & dry.

Overall the Party Tray presentation looked good. We enjoy the sampling. Most of the rolls were okay except for the one roll everyone was looking forward to trying: the Double Eel & Foie Gras roll. Sadly it was not fresh. Our guests were disappointed the Double Eel & Foie Gras roll was bad. They've eaten high quality Foie Gras before, including duck and goose foie gras, duck fois gras can be gamey tasting. When properly stored and refrigerated it's a delicacy. But the one MOMOKOKO served us smelled rancid and the taste was musty, past expiry. It's too bad the best roll in the platter was the worst roll. This is a problem point the restaurant needs to address. It's odd since the menu is so unique for an AYCE sushi buffet. Their Premium Menu items are A5 Wagyu, Lobster, Lamb Rack, Seared Tuna Tataki, Beef Tataki, Miso Cod, and Duck Confit. I think it would be better to try the other menu items like the Truffle Carbonara, Tuna & Salmon Stack, Garlic Butter Shrimp, Baked Cheese Mussels, Short Ribs, Sashimi, Teppenyaki, Shrimp Tempura, Mango Pomelo Sago, Durian Dessert, and their Seasonal Tasting Menu. Substitutions of hamachi sushi, duck breast, and bluefin tuna if the signature tasting menu items are unavailable.
